  1. I haven’t seen it but if he is letting falsehoods slide that is unacceptable. I have started politely but firmly saying no when my patients bring up lies at their visits. I don’t argue I just say things like that is objectively false. If you would like me to explain why I’m happy to. If not let’s move on to something else. Started doing it during Covid when patients would say it’s a hoax. I would say let’s over to the hospital and I’ll give you a tour. No takers
  2. Yeah I’m sure those will even be protected. It will somehow be ruled applicable only to certain groups at the discretion of Abbott.
  3. That’s actually a great idea. People should call the cops right at 10 pm if the first night game and demand the law be enforced at DKR
  4. This sounds like bullshit. Can one of the lawdogs read the actual bill and chime in? Dorms are on campus. There are evening classes on campus. The libraries are open at night. Small group rooms in Welch and RLM are open at night for group study. The fucking union ia open at night. Come on
  5. So his booty got pirated?
  6. I read somewhere that you can’t get hired onto some police forces if you score too high on the aptitude test. Maybe true?
  7. I said ACTUALLY Obamacare was the nickname for the ACA and the money that’s been going to offset your premiums may be taken away by this new spending bill (which came to pass). He was genuinely shocked. It’s ridiculous what rightwing media has done to the people of our country. I also said something about Texas’ refusing billions of dollars in matching funds for Medicaid, which would make healthcare even cheaper for Texans. Of course he had no idea about that either. I’ve pretty much started telling all of my patients when any of this stuff comes up that our state government is giving away billions of dollars every year to the federal government that could come back to us, but we are letting it be spent elsewhere. Hopefully a few take it to heart.
  8. A thumb at minimum
  9. A group with an album titled No Guts No Glory canceled a concert for rain? Another illusion from my youth shattered
  10. Literally had a patient tell me how grateful he was when the ACA plan came along to replace his Obamacare plan

  16. Does he play an instrument or just do the drum major part? If he plays he should apply as a music major and if, based on his audition tape he gets invited to an in person audition, he should take that opportunity. College of Fine arts is a great way to get into UT without being top 6% (or now 5% I guess). It’s a really good department but you’re not competing against kids who have professional potential by and large. And you can always either double major or transfer, though probably looking at COLA for either of those similar to CAP students. Not sure if music majors get preferential treatment for the longhorn band or not but it can’t hurt
  17. Having a late lunch / early dinner at an AYCE Asian Buffet. They have oysters on the cold table. What do y'all think?

  20. A wise old soul on the yard crew I worked one summer in HS had this to say about gin: “it’ll get your dick hard” also told us about the man in the boat and how to find it Also lost his whole paycheck one Friday rolling bones in the shop after work. So maybe not too wise
