Texas Basketball Update: Frontrunner emerging
OnTexasFootball continues to believe that Rodney Terry has coached his last game at Texas.
OTF also believes there is a frontrunner that has emerged to be the next head coach at Texas.
The frontrunner ...
OTF believes Xavier head coach Sean Miller is the frontrunner to be the next coach in Austin. Miller, 56, led the Musketeers to the NCAA Tournament this year beating Texas in the play-in game before losing to Illinois last night.
Miller's teams have advanced to the Sweet 16 or better in eight of 13 tournament appearances in his career.

Along with Miller, Arizona's Tommy Lloyd is also a name that OnTexasFootball continued to hear throughout the last 48 hours.
Unicorn chatter ...
If a unicorn emerged late in the process, the name heard would be Bill Self. As much as there is some real appeal around Texas, Austin, grandchildren in Dallas, talent rich state, Moody Center, and the possibilities of Texas basketball; Self would be walking away from his legacy at Kansas (per a source with deep ties to the Kansas coach).
A key note ...
The NCAA Transfer portal for basketball opens March 25 and runs through April 15.
