  1. Yea his dad giving him his chips is powerful stuff. I’d encourage him to really lean on those moments and in his heart know that his father died being proud of his son for standing up and facing his demons.
  2. I have thought about the idea a good bit in terms of why someone in that situation would do it. I watched as my grandfathers living will was not honored by my family. He was left in a vegetative state and his daughters didnt have the stomach to let him serve to death, even though his will made it clear thats what he wished. After seeing him, I've always wanted to die if I couldn't take care of myself. I'm not concerned with living as long as possible. I want to handle my business and when my race is finished I don't want to linger around. It isnt about being suicidal at all for me, I just don't want to be a burden to others when I have no real quality of life.
  3. Thats terrible, sorry Bear.
  4. Whoa those were pretty glowing remarks from Rhule, what kind of powder do we have to extend Orlando ASAP?
  5. Jerry said to throw the ball but we ran it anyways- mis be haven
  6. I work in finance and it seems like half my office is recovered alcoholics and a quarter needs to be. But I'm not in a situation where I need alcohol to do my job, half the office does it just fine.
  7. Yea I mean the health stuff is affecting pretty much every area of my life, including business. I think drinking is one of three major pillars thats causing it. To your point about making deals, I'd almost go as far to say business has equaled drinking for me. Lots of entertainment. Much easier to set a meeting over drinks. Obviously alcohol naturally reduces people's apprehension in the moment. It's just not sustainable for me anymore. I've pretty much concluded that being successful is too hard to be hungover all the time. I'm just trying to make sure I'm making actual progress and not spinning my wheels and going through a loop on the drinking stuff. If I become convinced I am, I'm mentally preparing to make the jump to sobriety and consistent outside help.
  8. Also don't want anyone to think my doc is enabling me or something. He's "monitoring" me month by month after I told him Im worried its an issue.
  9. Moderating. I'm in a bad spot health wise and I can no longer sustain my old drinking habits but its been tough to change. I probably drink half as much as I used to but its still more than I can really handle without getting pretty wrecked by a hangover and doing some regrettable stuff while blacked out. My primary doc said while he doesn't want me to think its normal he says lots of guys my age (34) hit a wall and have to cut back but have trouble. I monitor this thread pretty closely because i try to hold myself accountable and be honest about the things I need to change. I think if I cut back more and make other necessary changes (diet and exercise) I can set things straight but I'm not closed to the idea that if it just isnt happening then I will have to seek outside help.
  10. I cancelled a work dinner last night in a job where I only eat what I kill bc it was with a group of big drinkers. Just had too much to do today and I knew what the outcome would be if I got on the Thursday night train. Cant tell if thats progress or a red flag. Kind of feels like both.
  11. Owwww aahhhhuggghhh my dick. oh god the burning make the burning stop
  12. Look I don’t want to be dramatic about this, but if Jake Smith doesn’t get more targets then I will kill myself. Tom Herman you have until the rest of the day.
  13. I knew the long game with Waddle would win out.
  14. It’s pretty amazing how bad the cubes are. Good thing they have some fresh cubes in the pipeline.
  15. Arky doesn't have a pulse. Worthless. If aggy doesn't cover they should all hold hands and jump off a bridge.
  16. Look Evans is basically an aggy whether you like it or not, or whether he signs here or not.
  17. Really like Mookie as a prospect. We can always process him later if he can’t cut the cord and grow up.
  18. Theres just no room for a slide for any of these programs recruiting Texas. Its more competitive than ever. Coach cuck is just the type to implode too. Unreal what he left in his wake at FSU.
  19. Its easy for me to forget we are in the middle of a rebuild. You gotta flush the program out with young talent and Herman has done just that.
  20. It definitely takes a lot. Starting young players isn't great even if they are highly ranked.
  21. We missed on quite a few DB targets. Ringo would obviously help. Pouncey looks like a good get. Thats the weakness of this 2020 class for me which is kind of bothersome given the DB play so far this season.
  22. My wife and I said the same thing. It was pretty bad. That was a horrible casting decision.
  23. Hamm could cause aggy some issues. Sumdawg's behavior at several points was not exactly discreet. Guy was getting fucked up all the time. Theres no way he was always exercising good judgement about protecting himself and the program. Lots of "rumors" about private planes to vegas with donors and coeds. Fucktard ags were bragging about it at the time.
