  1. Buechele shouldnt even be in the conversation. Guy is worthless. Bad fit for our offense, made of glass, and can't pull the trigger. Ehlinger desperately needed a redshirt. Once again we were forced to start a true freshman and who knows what it did to him mentally. Would be great to get him into a backup role where he can continue to develop mentally. I still think he can be a serviceable qb for us but I wouldnt bet on it. I like our two freshman, but I want them both to shirt. We absolutely cannot keep throwing freshman in there, its a program killer. (At least until we get this offense stabilized.) Burrow came very close to winning the job up there. ve seen a lot of Ohio State fans that were sorry he didnt win the job and aren't happy to see him go. Obv I don't know as much about him as I do Ehlinger, but what i do know about Ehlinger makes me feel pretty comfortable giving the job to Burrow. Yall are right though, he isnt going to give us a look, but it isnt because hes scared of the depth chart. He's scared of our dog shit offense.
  2. We have 4 blue chip recruits on campus, one of which has proven he isnt a blue chip player and one who still needs a lot of development before we know. We would have to be crazy to not hand Burrow the starting job over Ehlinger or Buechele.
  3. We should be going after Burrow big time. Much better than anything we have on campus at this moment.
  4. Last time I checked 3 yards on 4 downs moves the chains just give the man the rock and let him do what he does.
  5. I think we sign a class in the 7-12 range, largely due to a lackluster season where we continue to struggle on offense. I think 2019 is when it finally starts to turn around on the field.
  6. No he didn't do that with Anthony Cook because Cook is not from Urban's backyard. And what was hyperbole? You basically agreed with what I said. I don't know about you but in the context of my UT fandom I'm anything but relaxed. Im tired of sucking. If Herman doesn't pan out thats a full decade of embarrassing football. What about that is relaxing to you? (Again, within the context of following the horns and cfb.)
  7. I care about rankings because the kids do. If Rojo was a 5 star it could only help us.
  8. Its time for Herman to show he's one of the big boys if he's going to recruit successfully longterm against big boy programs. Say what you want but Urban just dragged his nuts across his face in the Wilson recruitment. We lost out because the things Meyer was saying have a lot of truth in them. Our offense was pathetic. Tim Beck is a below average play caller and coordinator. Our receivers received poor coaching in Herman's first year. We either have below average or unproven qb play on campus. Herman has to fix this, and he decided to stay the course. Which means everyone is going to have to see improvement. You cant really market what we have on offense, its dog shit until proven otherwise. The only thing I think we really have is Herman and Beck's history with qbs, and they've put us in great position there. Take our defense and its pretty much the opposite. Results matter.
  9. You clearly didnt read a single thing I wrote bc I clearly said I want these people to get the treatment they need and I want them to be treated with the same dignity we all receive when receiving treatment for our health issues. And I didn't figure out how to make it political, the entire issue is incredibly politically charged. Pretending like its not at this point is silly.
  10. See I think your first sentence is the problem. By its most basic definition its a disorder of some kind. While it might not originate in the brain it certainly affects it, to the point that suicide is a real concern. To me that means the stakes are pretty high and we should be very precise in the language we use to talk about whats going on inside the body. Its very similar to disorders that are classified as mental, in that the conversation needs to be much more honest and open. Depression is a huge issue, and yet the average person doesn't even know what it is and how it can be treated with medicine to improve actual physical interactions in the brain. When I hear about someone like yourself I think to myself, man that sucks for that person. When I realize its very treatable I think to myself thats great I hope treatment goes well and they can get back on track. When I see the identity politics crowd use someone with this condition to bolster their own narrative, red flags go up quickly.
  11. Its not the treatment thats the problem. Its the conversation around trans people and the way we classify their need for treatment. If you needed estrogen to live a normal life I'm glad that you got it, and I want others to receive the same treatment as well. But anyone who needs hormone therapy in order to lead a mentally stable life has a disorder. If we would call it what it is, the proper level of empathy for those who need the treatment would be fostered just like it is for any other disorder. It's not these individuals fault, some wires got crossed in the womb and we have the science to set it right. No different than the vast list of other disorders we have learned to treat. As someone who has received this treatment, do you find the above offensive?
  12. The problem is the "difference" you speak of has turned into ideology that denies fundamental scientific realities about our existence. Radical leftists on campus aren't just working to normalize and treat the issues trans people are facing. They're seeking to break down fundamental truths about our biology. Its dangerous and its wrong, and Im sick of our school being ground zero for this kind of pathology.
  13. Serious question. What do I have to do to get the omg segments back on the unticket? Used to listen to that every day.
  14. Makes me sad seeing what has happened to our school. It's been completely highjacked by radicals.
  15. I wonder what the seating capacity would be if we matched the SEZ with the NEZ and made every seat in the stadium a chair back?
  16. The rendering is terrible. They knocked it out of the park with the NEZ. Stadium looked so much better. All they have to do is the same with the SEZ but with more suites and clubs etc. What I would really like: 1. Knock down the west side upper deck and make the whole stadium uniform. 2. Update the west side facade to match the rest of the stadium. 3. Chinese water torture anyone who values the Austin skyline over having an enclosed stadium atmosphere that traps in sound.
  17. Any idea where Young would be ranked nationally?
  18. Young would be a big pull. We keep stocking up and guys like him and Rojo and something's gotta give.
  19. They ended up getting married and having like 14 kids so I don't know how I feel about the analogy but I think I'm on board.
  20. I'm typically a pessimist these days but Wilson feels like a guy that is going to end up with the good guys.
  21. Sounds like we lead for Omeire after yesterday.
  22. You can just feel that 2018 isn't going to be the year, but these young qbs have me feeling better about 2019 and beyond.
