  1. I've always had my largest stake in ETH. I think MATIC and DOT are nicely setting themselves up as facilitators of ETH being the dominant player instead of direct competitors. Then again, I also own a little ADA, Algo, and ATOM, though smaller bags. I had viewed 6-8K likely for ETH but with ETH2 and coinbase hopefully finally getting staking going, I think you'll see even more institutional demand and 10K may indeed be possible. Fingers crossed.
  2. One option for slightly more hands off real estate are syndications/funds. Allows you to buy geographically diverse properties to benefit from arbitrage and avoid any one market getting overpriced. Also allows you to get into multifamily, storage and commercial without crazy high minimums. I use mlg capital, mainly because they've been around long enough to weather bad cycles. Everyone makes money in a bull real estate economy. There are others but definitely sure your due diligence. You do get some of the tax benefits that real estate provides, including depreciation and the ability to 1031 exchange at sale. I can understand the aversion to crypto, though I think given the gains and the future, having a 1-5% allocation is a good hedge. While volatile, I feel a lot better in that space compared to an equities market that defies all reasonable metrics. If you do, read and consider a small investment in the "large caps". Btc/eth. Hard money loans are another way to make money. It usually requires a decent amount of capital to get access and there is variable risk/lock up of your money but with construction booming, something to consider. As always, do your own diligence, read, etc. This isn't financial advice....
  3. He's kinda become the basketball version of that idiot from bon...wescot something. Beard may fail. Early returns and history suggest otherwise but ultimately if you're a fan of texas, why be a whiny cunt? Maybe try approaching life with a little bit of optimism and enthusiasm? What's the point of being a fan if your entire outlook is pessimistic? It's not even like we fired a somewhat successful coach and replaced him with a spare. Shaka Smart was terrible. Why die on this hill? Bwg seems like the kind of guy to bitch about taxes after winning the lottery...
  4. Huge, now just need Sims to stay and another ball handler.
  5. In fairness, under Shaka we didn't make the tourney all the time so didn't have an opportunity to lose.
  6. I feel like the initial offering is going to be in overvalued but could be wrong. I think the last price I saw was 300s. Anyone buying initially? On ipos I usually wait until the vesting period is over and then buy but not sure about this one. Voyager digital is still a pretty good play at a much lower price point imo
  7. I feel kinda bad for marquette. It's not like they've done anything to deserve this. Bye Shaka, nice guy but we're paying way too much for such mediocre work. I'm honestly okay with any coach we get. Hard to do worse then zero tourney wins with Texas's resources. Seems like beard is the hope, ivey is the high risk/high reward pick?
  8. Thanks, that's fantastic. I've got most of those other coins as well. Bat before ada or dot is surprising, not that I'm complaining.
  9. I'm curious too. I've had it since 2017 but the recent surge has been nice. It's a coin that I've been surprised hasn't done better
  10. voyager is a pretty easy interface (online app, easy to set up ach). I use it for altcoins and doge is on there. They do get you on the spread but technically no fees. coinbase is what I use for most established coins. If you need a referral pm me and I can send one (most of the exchanges have small rewards for new customers through referrals, not a ton).
  11. Thanks for the info on flow. I linked done info on enj a couple weeks ago. It's been good so far, even with the rest of the market going sideways. Still think there's more to go, though the real takeoff will be if that game due next week takes off. Jmo.
  12. Probably a mod or soon to be. Incoherent nonsense is a prerequisite.
  13. TL/DR OU sucks. Stop showing off your/yoor/yur Texas education and your/you're/yur big words. Its/It's not nice to pick on their/there/they're grammar. Just imagine that you grew up inhaling meth fumes you're/your entire life and give them a brakes.
  14. you the man...and really appreciate what you've brought as both an early adopter and a veteran. i've been invested since 2017 but lost a little faith in the long term viability between 2018 and 2020, which cost me an opportunity to really capture the cost basis i should have had as an early adopter. thankfully i never sold the early investments.
  15. tbh, it really depends on your long term outlook. if you believe in the long term place of crypto as an investment vehicle, you should keep buying dips. imo, the place to buy and sell is in tax advantaged accounts through surrogates like gbtc, microstrat, riot, ethe. For my main holdings, i'm hodling hard and building up coins. I don't think 100K btc and 10K eth are out of the reasonable realm of possibility at the end of 2 years. i think some of the other stronger alts still have a long way to go and the taxable hit on buying and selling as well as the risk of selling right before a big run are too high. just my opinion but i have staggered limit orders to increase exposure as it drops as we're still in the accumulation phase.
  16. Hey, you have a link to that newsletter?
  17. Fuck yeah! Hook em!
  18. I think he's got a girlfriend or some other tie to Texas that gives us an in. We'll see. Arizona has been good for us
  19. Yeah, it's a very strange criticism. I would think the ability to put touch on a pass is something you'd like to see in someone with a big arm, as there is a tendency for qbs like that to force every throw. Same with seeing some footage of dink and dunks...again, don't you want a guy to make the smart throw? Ultimately, he's a huge player with a ridiculously strong arm, no huge issues with his mechanics at his age, and what appears to be an outgoing personality. He's done well in camp settings but he definitely has more delta then most prospects in his ranking category. Will he be able to assimilate the playbook? Will he be able to come off his first read and make progressions? Will he be able to read the coverages correctly? Will he maintain velocity when asked to get outside the playbook? An underrated part of Roethlisberger's game is the ability to move around in the pocket to buy some time. It's something Murphy will have to do as he's not the most mobile? When you look at Sark's history, his best qbs aren't always those with the best arms or physical attributes. However, he's had success with all sorts. Murphy is a guy who is well deserving of a high 4 star rating. If everything clicks, he's a 1st round talent since you can't teach arm strength, size and personality. Outside of a surefire star like Ewers, it's hard to find a prospect that has as much upside.
  20. I see it as a buying opportunity, especially on some of the alts that I've been interested in. I think people are taking some profits off the board and it's pretty normal. Then again, this could presage the fall to zero for all I know... What do people think about ENJ? Gaming coin that will have embedded BTC rewards in a game that's coming out in March? Gaming is a huge potential use case for crypto. Will be interesting to see if the game is actually enjoyable...then again, Pokemon Go made a ton of money...as long as the game has some type of addictive factor, could make a lot of money. https://www.altcoinbuzz.io/cryptocurrency-news/product-release/enjin-enj-powered-age-of-rust-to-launch-with-1-mn-crypto-bounties/
  21. I've been taking advantage of the blockfi/voyager accounts for the high interest on usdc. Seems like an easy way to park some cash and at the rates, better then conventional hard money loan. I've got referral codes if anyone needs. I am pretty impressed with voyager's interface. Mainly using coinbase pro but it's nice to have access to more alts without the clunkiness of the bittrex interface. Thanks for the riot tip @GRHorn. Didn't do as well as you but probably going to take some profits and wait for a pullback
  22. That's a fantastic surprise to see first thing Friday morning! Now for some lineman
  23. There are some really good people on this thread. Was very thankful that a heroic Lyft driver braved the hills around Far West and rescued my 70 year old parents from a house that hasn't had power in 2 days. Really feel for people that still don't have power. It's amazing to me how poorly the city of Austin has handled this in terms of the roads. And don't get me started on this "rolling" blackouts thing...how do you plan so poorly?!? Rant over. Just wanted to say thanks to those that have offered their homes/cars/help. You are the best of us.
  24. I hope whoever hacked your account enjoys the negs
  25. I've got both of those. Bought BAT in 2017 and was always surprised why it didn't get traction. Right now what I do is put small positions in interesting protects and see what happens. The brave browser is great and in many ways BAT is one of the few crypto projects that already has widespread real life utility. Then again, it hasn't had the 10x returns that some of the alts have currently.
