  1. Hahaha, fuck those clowns. If the road to the big 12 championship goes through Lubbock, it's just a fucking pit stop on the way to the Rose Bowl. Shitty team full of blowhards with a fucking high school clown coach. Only reason they had any relevance was a few idiot oil money alumni. Enjoy your shitty football team, shitty basketball team and hot but syphilitic women 1-3 with a win against Tarleton state.
  2. Both Alabama and Texas were a little hungover after last week's game. Lots of emotion, hype, etc. Plus Saban got cute with his trash backup qbs. Reality is that about 1/3 of your games aren't going to be your standard. Tbh, a little adversity and a tough game against a team you're favored against isn't the worst thing. Georgia still hasn't played well this year and we're down more against South Carolina. FSU should have lost to a shitty BC team. Would you rather be Tennessee, who got run over by an offensive line led by Bama castoff Damien George and a Wisconsin reject graham mertz? I'm pretty fucking stoked to be 3-0 at this time. The key is to make enough plays against bad teams to win when you aren't playing your best and to make sure you match up your a game with the times you need it most. This team is young but I like the trajectory. If they can't play consistently they'll drop a couple games but I'm optimistic this game, as much as Alabama, will be a great learning experience. And we truly haven't played a dogshit team yet. I expect we'll take care of business the next two weeks and roll into the cotton bowl 5-0. Looking forward to watching this team beat the shit out of Baylor, who is more likely to get an a game
  3. Texas Recruiting 2024: All you'll come to Texas
  4. I agree with a lot but I think I wouldn't discount Bama being good to great for a few more years. Their long term outlook isn't great due to NIL and demographics but I don't see them having the Texas Mack dropoff with Saban there. I also think Brian Kelly, despite being a murderous asshole, can coach and his ND teams often had WTF games but still a decent overall performance. And LSU will still get decent talent, though long term same as Bama with NIL. I bet it'll be Georgia, LSU, Bama and Tennessee in 2024, with Georgia being the only team with a significant talent advantage, though I think Kirby Smart being a mouthbreathing troglodyte helps even the advantage. And this also supposes that this Alabama game signals a consistent, reproducible shift in our long term fortunes (which I think it does.
  5. 38-3 215. It's 17-3 at halftime and we're sluggish, with penalties allowing them to score a field goal and limiting our offense. Second half we get going again to win by a healthy margin.
  6. Damaged goods. Lots of toxic guys over there. I bet McKinley will be back in play. Either way, watching even Broughton split a double team gives me hope that we'll be fine. Remember, pk built his defenses with mainly 3 and low 4* players at uw. If he's able to sit back and scheme and not stress about recruiting, I could see 10-15 more years of elite defenses.
  7. What's crazy about this defense is we still have young edge players that are getting better. It's pretty fun to play defense when your front 4 generates pressure with very little help. Really hope we can pick up another DT in the portal or steal someone else's 5 star
  8. I love Aggy slowly starting to realize a little truth. They are starting to remember their place in the heierchy.
  9. How the fuck do you expect me to pay for Texas one if I shut down my of account?!? Just kidding, thanks everyone who worked tirelessly to even the playing field. Already contribute but I bet we see a lot more people throw in some bucks.
  10. We went there and dominated them on the defensive line. Made mistakes, didn't have breaks go our way and still won. This isn't a perfect game underdog win. This is the better team winning. Now, gotta celebrate and then not stub our toe. I don't know that we'll play a more talented defense this year
  11. Fuck yeah. Lots of sad inbreds getting hate fucked tonight!
  12. He's APART from other ou players. He's eloquently choosing to start a new tradition of mutual respect between the two schools. That's clearly it. I for one am impressed by his intelligence and maturity.
  13. Texas 24, bama 13. Fuck it, we're due. Defense steps up, ewers stays upright and saves his best performances for teams that aren't full of nerds 312 total offense for bama. Most of it milroe scrambles though he turns it over twice
  14. Thomas Johnson if I recall correctly. Sad case
  15. no offense but hard to lend credence to the idea that a bunch of guys going to duke, vandy, tech and arkansas are top 25 players in texas. I mean, it's cute to be contrarian but wtf? kobe black as 16 in state when he's a consensus 5 star?
  16. That's maturity a lot of people twice his age lack. Smart, grounded kid and I really hope he has a fantastic last year and then catches on for a couple of years in the NFL, but whether football works out or not, he's going to be successful at life.
  17. No CR, not making a statement about either, one way or another but I found this cognitive dissonance amusing: Aggy: Austin is full of stupid pot smoking hippie sips who want to defund the police because they arrest people for drugs Aggy: stupid local cops don't understand that marijuana isn't really a drug, not like alcohol. Wish they cut these fine upstanding kids a break. Aggie football under Jimbo is bringing wokeness to college station, one despondent fan at a time.
  18. Clearly my sarcasm wasn't evident. Pay the man. Other than someone like bd, it's hard to think of a "realistic" candidate that would prompt a pause
  19. I was a skeptic. Still likely a bad move when you look at the overall data. I say we keep him as the interim coach. Say something along the lines of a 5 year deal as interim coach. Clearly he thrives with uncertainty.....
  20. I fucking love this team. That is all. Hope we can grind it out Sunday without disu
  21. This team genuinely seems to like each other and straddle that line between finding joy in each win while keeping their eyes on the goal and not getting rattled in games. It's likely a combination of the veteran makeup and the personalities of the players, Terry being a little less tightly wound than Beard, and the crucible that is the big 12. I felt like we had a stretch at the end of the season where every game was versus a top 20 team, and the only one that wasn't beat us (tech). It's hard as fans not to love this team. You could see it on the court today. That was a team effort on defense and once they figured out Disu was on fire, they kept just feeding him the ball. End of the game, gonna savor this S16 and feel pretty good about our next game and hopefully 3 more.
