  1. Hopefully GA goes to Harris as well even though it's like a stretch this year. Since GA is led by the GOP it creates chaos in some circles about how to blame the GA GOP when Trump loses.
  2. There are some GOP politicians that I believe are incredibly smart but they play dumb in support of GOP platforms and in talking to their constituency. Then we have James Comer who is very unintelligent.
  3. bump. Was talking to my PCP about this topic today. I'm having my numbers tested but I mentioned to him a few recent (year long) symptoms (low energy, low drive, can't lose weight) and his response was that it's part of aging. And that going on TRT was a lifetime commitment so he didn't recommend it. I'm mid 50s. I'm on the fence about following his advice or requesting a urology referral. Oddly, he said that I would feel better if I went on TRT. Isn't feeling better part of health? I've heard some docs talk up Kyzatrex or other oral testosterone replacements. Supposed to be a more steady flow of testosterone with potentially fewer negative side effects than injections. I believe cost can be a factor but a quick search estimates $200 per month for my plan. Some of the other pills were looking to be $800/mo on my plan. Does anyone have experience with them?
  4. Trump will be at the GA-Bama game. He won't spend time with GA students other than having a few come to his suite. Trump is not the type to walk a campus.
  5. Between Walz and Gretchen, I think MI is getting locked up. I'm not saying to ignore MI but we need more attention on PA. And definitely keep spending time in Omaha. Crazy how that it could be the tipping point.
  6. Dems are cool when their corrupt or problematic leaders move on. Obviously sometimes they're stuck (Sen. Menendez) but they at least tell them to resign.
  7. Right. Today they’re not only having to think about a possible ridiculous tariff, they have to consider that Trump may try to paint them as anti-America even more so than actual foreign brands. its Trump style. When he senses a possible weakness in someone and it can benefit him, he bullies them. Hence why he always refused to pay his suppliers and contractors who needed the payments. Then it’s time to renegotiate. And if you never need that vendor again, don’t even bother negotiating just never pay.
  8. Finally caught On the Waterfront a month ago. One viewing was enough.
  9. Another anti-business aspect of Trump is his unpredictability. I guarantee business leaders, even those who have vocally supported Trump, hate that they have zero idea what random Trump tweet can hurt their business. And once Trump has made a proclamation he cannot walk back a mistake no matter even if he privately realizes he was wrong.
  10. I don't wish brain injuries on anyone but Favre's statements about his health ring hollow that he waits to announce it at a hearing that is going to slam him for stealing welfare dollars.
  11. yep. All HYSA rates are dropping.
  12. It's not about protecting the American farmer, it's about punishing any company who is taking a job out of the US. Of course John Deere would just be using a treaty negotiated and signed by the Trump admin to move their manufacturing to Mexico. Regardless a tariff or keeping the jobs in America will increase the cost to the American farmer.
  13. Possibly. There is also diminishing returns on dollars spent but if you're the candidate why not spend every dime and ask for more. Aren't polls showing that NV might be the most locked up on this list?
  14. Outside of the Family Guy chart, how should we distinguish between 2 good guys with guns vs 2 guys who are about to shoot up the place? Do we wait until they get 100 rounds off at the customers? Also it's not an unreasonable thought to be afraid for your life when these two guys walk in with enough guns/ammo to take out a platoon. If I'm also armed, would/should a Texas jury convict me to firing on these 2? Better safe than sorry.
  15. Cute in thinking that the USPS under Louis DeJoy will deliver a ballot to Austin. The address will be categorized as unreadable.
  16. I wouldn’t start worrying about 2032 and the electoral college. States like TX and FL are circling the drain in many ways. Not all but many. People are starting to leave FL because home ownership costs are too high partially due to DeSantis’ poor policies. Maybe someday in Texas our voters will realize how badly the state has been managed in the last 25 years under GOP leadership. and as always, the parties and platforms will shift to find an approximate 50/50 equilibrium.
  17. They don’t even fully understand the problems facing America. Instead they just listen to what Trump tells them.
  18. I’m skeptical that some will really sit out. Regardless I imagine there are more than a few Republican voters who know some of trumps economic talking points are bs. Whether it’s the idea that we need to triple natural gas extraction to across-the-board tariffs helping the consumer. These gop voters try to convince themselves that Trump doesn’t really mean that. I recall an older voter from a 2016 interview that Trump didn’t mean a literal wall with Mexico, it was only a metaphor.
  19. 538 now has Harris at a 0.8% overall favorable rating, her highest since '21. In comparison Trump is at -10% favorable rating.
  20. The Texas Democrat Party (do they really even exist?) has been a failure in letting Texas go without a fight. Even if you are destined to lose, it's important to retain whatever ground you have. They are plenty of potential Democrat voters in Texas who are surrounded by vocal GOP voters. Many just either don't bother voting or they succumb to the pressure of voting GOP. And even some may be voters who might bounce back and forth but they won't if they're ignored.
  21. Yes. And even if the Trump campaign ultimately does not focus on FL, they waste time, including fielding calls from Rick Scott, thinking about it. You may even get them to make some mistakes. The only argument about spending money in decided states is that you may slightly move the national numbers, which can impact undecided states. People have a tendency to follow the crowds. Not to mention that you might as well spend excess money in states or districts that can help you if you end up winning. Helping Tester get elected, or winning that one more House race may be extremely important in upcoming years.
  22. This is a reminder that when you hear someone call Kamala a Marxist, sincerely ask them to define a Marxist because you don't understand what it means. It will make them look and feel stupid. Most likely they will reply with communist or socialist. I would wrap up that conversation in that the Red Scare was proven to be fake in the 50s.
  23. You can also set up an Apple high yield savings account, managed by GS, where the rewards are automatically deposited to the savings account. All managed thru the same Apple Card app.
  24. Is the husband friends with her school choice guy?
  25. When Trump loses, much of the blame will be on him alone. However there should be attention that the failure to nominate Nikki Haley as the VP spot is also a reason. Put Haley in the VP role, and Trump would be up several points right now and potentially cruising to a victory.
