  1. Don't know who Cam'ron is but he certainly was either afraid or just didn't want to talk. Most people put themselves out there as a stand up person or strong. He's neither.
  2. Bought some art at the gallery on the left in my 2022 trip. I spoke to one of the artists for about 20 minutes or so regarding his art and I was curious about life in Alpine. My recollection was that they had a rotating group of artists who would be present at the store. unfortunate damage update: https://www.bigbendartscouncil.org/gallery-on-the-square
  3. If you hire Rob Schneider for your event, it seems odd that you wouldn't expect a Schneider attempt at comedy. I can't imagine that he has any material that isn't some meant for CPAC. I suppose he could yell, "you can do it" but that would get old after a few times.
  4. Case in point from 2020. Man double voted with his deceased mom's name for Trump because he was trying to make up for all of the Dem "fake" votes. https://apnews.com/article/election-2020-government-and-politics-d34effeea6c341d6c44146931127caff
  5. How much money will the Texas taxpayer help with this endeavor and it will be as successful as the Texas Gold Depository?
  6. I don't care if the Parisians have memorials to Americans or not. We have a lot of bad memorials in the US so could that be considered worse than not having any?
  7. The Franklin 1-season series on Apple TV is a good watch. It's about his time in Paris during the revolutionary war procuring assistance from the French. I know they take some liberties with the historic truth but it's worth watching and then learning more on your own. You have to love how pretty much everyone hated John Adams. It presents the strange nature of how the French supported the US in overthrowing George III as our king. All while France was about to face the situation within their own country. It demonstrated how much the French hated the Brits over their own good.
  8. My opinions have changed about whole home generators with the recent Houston problems. When I transition to retirement in the next 15 years, I'm going to get a whole home generator. Until then I will get by with a portable one.
  9. army vet (5 year deployment) college professor top of class with both undergrad AND grad school attended high school and college simultaneously youngest employee at MCI (is that a flex?) started own companies and been executives in others consultant model actor comedian crisis resolution assists in global affairs that's quite the resume. Can he just jump right to running for the President. He's got my vote based on the impressive resume that I doubt has any lies or exaggerations. But seriously it wouldn't shock me if none of this true.
  10. If the GOP had to turn to someone else right now, I don't believe their voters would want Haley. The Trump side will remember what she said about Trump and some of her voters will feel betrayed how she turned back to Trump. Now if the GOP leadership, whoever they might be, decides to push Haley to front, most of the GOP voters will fall in line.
  11. I'm sure this is the proper move since now he's a convicted felon but this will just give him one more argument on how the govt is after them, and he gets to toss in the 2nd amendment. He really is the worst American of all time.
  12. The post from @Francisco 2.0 shows why America may be too far gone. If Trump dies tomorrow the anti-govt campaigns will not stop with the conspiracy nuts. They have sunk too much of their life into the deep state paranoia. No matter how much evidence they are shown, there is always some other way that the deep state/Soros/_____ is secretly manipulating the vote. A politician (GOP) isn't blind to seeing that a decent percent of motivated voters are in this state of mind. Throw them just enough so that they believe that you're behind them, and appeal to enough reasonable voters, and you can get elected. Of course, you can't just switch to being a reasonable govt official at that time. The nuts won't let you. I fully expect that we will see fraud or vote integrity issues in 2024 and it will be 100% in favor of Trump.
  13. Did Dr. Pepper really move up to 2nd place, or are they just not falling as fast as Pepsi.
  14. Tempting to add up my retirement balances every time I see the market is at a new high. I know some recommend to only periodically check the balance but I want to see how close I am to my necessary amounts.
  15. lazy image editing so it ended up backwards. I imagine the RNC has an intern in charge of their design/editing "department."
  16. Some mimic their parents, other run the other directions, but in my experience most are a bit less racist than their parents.
  17. Whitmire looks to be walking back some of his decisions involving 11th, Shepherd and Durham: https://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-texas/transportation/article/shepherd-durham-whitmire-bike-safety-19495316.php I've been following this issue and frankly the article leaves me with more questions than answers. Previously Whitmire had halted plans for the reconstruction of Durham and Shepherd south of 15th but this article fails to address that altogether and lumps both the current and halted projects together. Or maybe not. Chronicle for the fail. If one of you smarter people can decipher the article or understand the new plans, please educate me.
  18. By that point, the Texas GOP will have passed a law that Texas counties only get 1 vote. Loving = Harris in presidential voting power. SCOTUS will have to rule on that.
  19. I imagine that graduate has a long history of her dad embarrassing her. There's no doubt that she literally has a lifetime of hearing him spew racist crap at home. At least she can look at graduation as a milestone in terms of getting away from him.
  20. NVDA only up 3.5% today so far, or slightly under $100B in market cap increase. SMH.
  21. spend anytime in most suburbs? I know a few guys that wear that outfit 365 days per year. Maybe not the Oakleys.
  22. Very cool in how the pre-launch broadcast reminded the audience that this was just the 6th maiden launch for a US manned rocket: Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Space Shuttle and SpaceX Dragon were the previous 5.
  23. If other lawyers want to weigh in on the case, they should speak directly with Trump's lawyers or the special counsel, depending on their view. I don't see how a court can operate by randomly choosing 3rd parties to address the judge. If the 3rd party lawyers want to join the Trump team, then do so officially. Or be called as an expert witness from the Trump side, and be allowed to be cross examined.
  24. Same here. I feel for everyone that has trapped funds but for former customers like Chimpo and I, I'm curious how it plays out. In my own self interest, I hope they don't look to claw back funds from former customers which has occurred in past fintech bankruptcies.
