  1. Justin should have told Cedric that he had been loyal to him since Day 1 and that he couldn't believe that Cedric was changing his vote. And how Sai wouldn't forget it. Then once Cedric voted him out, Justin should have told him to f off. cedric is the opposite of a friend. He's a surgeon and he's this wishy washy about something like a Survivor vote? I wouldn't allow him to operate on me or frankly anyone I knew. I can only assume that he's this indecisive about everything.
  2. Sai is only about herself. Others have to prove their loyalty to her and not the other way around. Cedric voted to remove Sai twice and then decided to remove Justin. He continually supports Sai even when it goes against his game. FYI, it wouldn’t shock me if Sai ends up voting Cedric out next week because she is not going to forget he twice put her name down.
  3. Bessent and Lutnick are speaking to an audience of 1, who is probably watching. They're not speaking to the American or investing public. If they say anything that could be viewed as negative to the current administration, they will be fired or at a minimum yelled at. It's always amazing to me that accomplished people will work in White House Administrations. I see the Sec of Treasury as a step down for a bank teller much less a CEO.
  4. There is very little chance that RFK can create long lasting change in the food industry. Can he disrupt it temporarily? Sure but it will go back to where it is. And all of the chaos will come at a cost to the consumer. I have no idea if food dyes are dangerous to long term health or not. Are food preservatives ok that allow food to last days, weeks or months longer than non-preserved food lasts? I can see the argument that they're not positive for your health but do we have solid evidence that they're harmful?
  5. I do my best to avoid processed foods and would prefer everyone does as well, but I don't want the govt forcing companies to act how RFK Jr wants them to act.
  6. I doubt there are many in America who do not directly or indirectly have their income tied to the govt in some form. Especially in the recent whiplash govt changes. Some folks may be a few degrees removed but the dominos could fall and hit almost anyone. Anyone who is not easing back on personal spending is reckless. Which of course is also a description of the average American spending in general.
  7. Party of small govt telling the food industry to voluntarily remove food dyes from their product or RFK Jr. will force them to remove it. https://www.cnbc.com/2025/03/12/rfk-jr-pressures-pepsico-kraft-heinz-to-remove-artificial-dyes.html Remember the outrage from the right when Michelle Obama recommended most fresh foods for kids, or NYC wanted to limit the sizes of cokes. Funny how quiet they are now.
  8. thats the unspoken plan. When that occurs, some political donors will be celebrating.
  9. Elon is a patriotic American who is ignoring his companies to make america great. Perfectly logical that the American taxpayer should hand over billions more to him to thank him for his time. Hopefully this doesn't occur but there is a chance. But on something that did occur, how normal is it for the President to take time out of his day to film a live commercial for Tesla?
  10. answering myself I see that the Ontario PM Ford has threatened to shut off the electricity if Trump continues the trade war. I don't see cooler heads prevailing from our side, so I could see Trump threatening military intervention if Ontario goes through with it. We're going to end up with a hot war with canada over small amounts of fentanyl.
  11. If we get to the point of Canada threatening to cut off electricity to the states that they're supplying, I would fully expect that Trump would threaten to send in troops as they're harming our national security. With all of this winning, I'm uncertain that I can contain my excitement.
  12. You can’t tell me that the dealers associations doesn’t pressure car manufacturers to make DIY as difficult as possible. You need to replace an air filter, that requires lifting the engine 1” inch to reach the clip.
  13. I agree that you can't perfectly time the market but you can see future possibilities and attempt to time that. Many big players have been taking profits over the past year anticipating a downturn. It doesn't guarantee that outcome but there are basically nothing but bad signs for the economy. No CR but outside of hardcore MAGA, who believes that the economy isn't in worse shape today? Hell, Trump admits that there will be pain before we get out of it. Tonight's futures and tomorrow's opening will be key. If there isn't a big bump up, tomorrow could make today look like a winner.
  14. Looks like the financial big boys are going to use today to release any bad news that they've been sitting on. GDP dropping maybe into a recession. Agriculture and construction in the dumper due to deportation or at least the threat. Might as well make today the biggest headline possible when it comes to bad news.
  15. Would it be wrong to carry around $7 eggs and throw them at parked Cyber Truck windshields? Asking for a friend.
  16. Thank George Bush for that one when he decided to move the US off the globally recognized dates to change the times.
  17. I may sell off most of my crypto tonight. I'm >90% into ETH and BTC. I don't have a good feeling at the moment, and wish I had this feeling 3 months ago. I would prefer to lock in gains/losses today along with the corresponding tax bill. Then I can rethink longer term strategy.
  18. On the question about stocks vs bonds, I was under the impression that bonds have severely under-performed their history since 2000. If that is the case, is it correct to use historic bond returns for Monte Carlo simulations? I even wonder if someone continued to buy 5 year CDs starting in 2000 and then kept rolling them over, would that have been a better option that the large bond funds.
  19. I take Trump at his word that he wants to eliminate personal and corporate income tax and replace the revenue with tariffs. The IRS flips to the External Revenue Service. Trump folks point to the pre-1900s where the govt didn’t have income tax sources and spending was relatively low. Public services was almost non-existent except at the local level. to them that was when America was Great.
  20. The director of the national economic council is hanging out in the Situation Room?
  21. If we stick with standard, we would have sunrises close to 4am for cities in the north for a few weeks in June. Most people prefer to sleep in between 6-8a and not have the sun out before then. I also don’t get the idea that people struggle with a one hour change. Go to sleep an hour early tonight. Have an extra shot of caffeine on Monday morning.
  22. Have you checked YouTube or forums about replacing it on your vehicle? I don’t think you were clear about the vehicle model so it’s difficult to find online resources.
  23. That can be solved by moving to Loving County. Duh.
  24. The Ukrainian War has been the most successful and cost effective war for the United States with the exception of the Revolutionary War. We were putting in the final nails into the coffin of the Russian non-nuclear military when Trump took office.
  25. What a flop the Bitcoin strategic reserve has turned out to be. It’s a reserve of the coins that they have confiscated in the past and future. So basically it’s the same as it was yesterday, last year, last five years, etc.
