  1. Sounds like he would be very fair if an election case came before him.
  2. I believe she refused to resign even when the rest of board, including the moms for liberty allies, asked her to step down. She has a couple of years remaining on her term.
  3. In a surprise to no one, the RFK Jr. campaign will soon fold. They had $3.5m in cash at the end of July and basically that amount in outstanding debt. He’s reasonating with no one. of course he will be dumb enough to believe Trump in terms of a cabinet position in exchange for an endorsement. And perhaps Trump would even go thru with that appointment.
  4. Guarantee that if you showed him evidence how Obama and Biden were always much more religious than Trump, he wouldn’t believe you.
  5. I'm fairly certain that I didn't include any math so uncertain where you call out my math. And I distinctly wrote that I wasn't worried about maximizing retirement income. Just because something works well for your situation, doesn't mean other people are wrong. If your plan works best for you, go for it. cool post.
  6. If you start to build a package, you can add the Sports package to Sling Orange. It contains SECN and SECN+. Once you get past any initial promo, its $51 + tax. I get that YTTV or Fubo offer more channels but that's falling into the trap to keep spending more and more because of perceived value. Give me 5 or 500 channels, and I still will watch less than 10 hours per week.
  7. Harley Davidson dropping all "DEI" projects because of an loud, activist investor. https://www.cnn.com/2024/08/19/business/harley-davidson-dei-john-deere-tractor-supply/index.html What are some of the "DEI initiatives" that they received attacks? sponsored a bootcamp for LGBTQ entrepreneurs donated to United Way and; wants to increase its workforce diversity as it tries to grow its base of motorcycle riders.
  8. What's the opinion on Sling plus their sports package? Looks like it includes all of the ESPN channels. Personally I want the cheapest and easiest option to get all of the ESPN content. And not sharing or looking for sketchy online sites.
  9. Whether 100% sincere or not, Kamala's frequent praising of Biden over the last month has been a great PR move. It feels sincere and it's not like voters hate Biden.
  10. I love me some baseball but baseball players are not known for their mensa membership status. The IQ and critical thinking skills of a NBA or NFL locker room is much higher than MLB.
  11. I’m hearing more than a few people in Houston running into this problem the past few weeks. I have to wonder if the power outages could have increased the problem with ACs not creating condensation plus hot houses equaling increased algae growth in the condensation pipes.
  12. Great question on when to take it. Personally I don’t think of it as maximizing the SS income, or calculating the break even number, or some hedge against dying relatively young. If I’m dead, I won’t give a fuck if I broke even. my plan at 62 most likely will depend if I need it or want it. My expectation is that I won’t so why not wait a few years to draw SS benefits. Take the guaranteed 8% plus cola. Could I beat that in market? Who knows. I will already have plenty of other exposure to the markets so the different could be minor.
  13. high probability that our tax dollars are supporting those kids and bought that rascal scooter.
  14. Hopefully the schedule is roughly in that order. I get that many in the Dem party love the Clintons, but there comes a time (now) that Hillary needs to fade into the background more. You don't need to remind undecided and perhaps decided voters about her and her frequent losing in national elections. While Bill is creepy, I do put him in a slightly different category. He's a better natural politician than Hillary. He and Obama are the only 2-0 Dems since Truman and FDR.
  15. In the category of too much detail, the OK legislature gave $50 million split over 3 years for school security. The law stated that a school district wasn’t required to take the money each year but rather roll their annual amounts over to year 2 or 3 especially in case of a security project that needed the full 3 years of funding. Walter’s decided that the rollover wasn’t clear in the law and removed the funding. What he was going to do with that windfall is unknown. he did acknowledge their AG today and said he would give the money to the schools. What a great guy he is.
  16. Definitely odd split ticket polls results right now. Nevada and Ohio like their Dem senators in the polls but lean Trump for president. if the gop wins, what’s the consensus for majority leader? Thune?
  17. Ryan Walters decided to go against an Oklahoma law by refusing release millions of dollars given to school districts to bolster school security. Then proceeded to hide it by changing the language of the law on the state website. no surprise that cover ups never go well. Today the OK AG issued a demand telling Walters to release the money and that he hopes that no child was hurt due to his negligence.
  18. I believe that HISD has had to resort to hiring some uncertified personnel to fill the gaps.
  19. It was the luckiest day of Greg Kihn's life when he say an ad in the paper that the Greg Kihn Band was looking for a lead singer/guitarist. That opportunity doesn't present itself often.
  20. It also never hurts to see an internist where you speak to them of your overall issues. I'm going to assume the OP doesn't have a PCP or has hid this issue from them.
  21. Yep. It's the same people that whisper a complaint at work on why they're not allowed to create a white employee group. For many (all?) of them, it boils down to the fact that they're not allowed to say the n-word. Perhaps some would actually never say it. They just want the right to say it without repercussions or being criticized. and for the record, a taco with unseasoned ground beef and cheese, sounds horrible. Hopefully its 80/20 ground beef and not too lean.
  22. TexAgs is too busy telling each other what Trump really meant by those words.
  23. Greg Kihn of the Greg Kihn band passed away at 75 on Tuesday. Apparently complications due to Alzheimer’s.
  24. Kamala caused the crash, but Wall St., believing Trump will win, is the reason it went back up. Duh.
  25. Exactly. Tell a student that the Bible isn't fact, and start looking for a job by the end of the day for indoctrinating students against Jesus.
