I take a lot of pictures of birds and kites are among the hardest ones to catch in fight. They're really fast and change directions erratically without warning. It's much easier if you can find them perched like that. Swallows are the same way but probably worse.
Nice barred owl. I got this one alongside a CR on the way to my parents' place.

Overall I don’t have an issue with this article but this type of shit drives me insane:
‘Experts have warned, however, the coronavirus is novel. It is therefore unclear how long immunity lasts or even if it exists at all.’
Just STFU, to act like NO immunity might exist is dumber than buttchugging bleach to cure the virus. At least that will potentially kill you AND the virus.

Fucking this. Once a week there's an article about how this one guy caught it twice and OMG it's the apocalypse!11!1

The pendulum will swing back in way less than 16 years. The Ds will overreach and the Rs will make changes. It's a two party system; we'll never stay too far from equilibrium.

Did anyone watch the show on MLB network last night on the last day of the 2011 season? It was fun seeing all those highlights again. That was crazy with both WCs tied going into the night and both Boston and Atlanta losing to finish huge September collapses to miss the playoffs. In my memory it seemed like all 4 games ended within 15 minutes of each other.
The Tampa - Yankees game was definitely the best. Tampa was down 7-0 going into the bottom of the 8th but came back to force extras on Dan Johnson's 9th inning 2 out homer and then Longoria walked it off in the 12th.
Philadelphia also scored in the 9th to force extras and then won in 13 to knock Atlanta out.
Both of those games went too long though. Should have had more ghost runners.
Here's Verducci's piece the following day:

Texas is now at 2.2k deaths, Florida at 3.3k, and California at 5.6k. We shall see but my money is still on NY.

Maybe UEFA can follow La Liga's lead and sell to a provider with no carriage

NYC is actually an amazing case study. Do what they did!
It's not too late to do better than that.

Yeah I loved the Margot Robbie scenes - especially her picking up the hitchhiker and going to the movies to watch herself. She is supposed to symbolize what the Manson's took away - youth, beauty, innocence, etc. You're supposed to dread when the Mansons show up at the end to kill her and then QT's twist is a kind of wistful what could have been had she lived.

Even squares (like some Surly folk) have diameter.
Your mom didn't think I was a square after I took care of her wetted perimeter.

Exactly. If you want baseball, get a satellite or cable subscription. They have made the choice that that is better for their business.
Or a VPN. It is 2020 after all.

Ranger's new stadiums are jinxes. In 1972 the first year of Arlington Stadium, the players struck and the season started late. In 1994 the new Ballpark in Arlington the season ended in August when the players went on strike. 2020, the Rangers are ready to open their new stadium, the players are ready, but the Coronavirus shuts things down. Batting 3 for 3 on not playing a full season in their new homes.
So will this one make it 30 years or nah? How does Arlington have so much tax money to throw around anyway?

Martial with a hat trick now. For those not watching, guess the last Man United player with a hat trick in the PL:

Man United looking good against Sheffield.
These daily doubleheaders are nice, especially in the age of endless work from home

True, but I think Warren would just stupefy the dotard into silence, whereas Kamala could get him riled up and say some batshit nonsense. And she has the opportunity to get him to say the n-word.
Ah yes, the President vs VP debate. The highlight of every campaign season.

I also was at the rare Dome doubleheader the next year when the last scheduled game of the year at the Phillies got rained out and was moved here. I got to stay for all 18 that time.

I was 8 and was at the 22 inning game. My dad's work had a group outing with families invited where we got to ride the company bus to the game. I was not happy when the group decided to leave after 11 innings. Some bullshit about babysitters or something. I sat up front and listened to the game along with the bus driver on the radio for the hour ride back to where everyone parked to catch the bus. Then we listened for another 20 minutes on the ride home. Then I turned on the radio in my room but fell asleep before it was over. I had to find out the next day about Hamilton coming in to pitch and how Caminitti broke his bat over his knee after striking out before Raffy eventually came through with the game winner.

Houston is indeed full of front running fans, but there are plenty of familiar names on this 78 page non-bandwagoner thread:

Bwahaha. Amazing it lasted this long. A civil war is definitely worse than shootout.
Also, how thoughtless of people to refer to the conflict in Syria as a civil war.
