Seems like we might see a string of restaurant fires, goodfellas style

No shit, the side eye I get for sneezing and blowing my nose in a normal year is bad enough. I guess the counterpoint is that I'm barely around people anymore.

Are those real quotes, or is that satire?

Interesting number from Houston's drive through testing yesterday, estimated total tests was in the hundreds, this is the ages of those getting tested. Results aren't back yet on how many have it.
4% under 8 years old
5% 10-18 years old
18% 19-27 years old
45% 28-45 years old

Yep. 90% probably have nothing but oak allergies.

Lulz at calling that "hotwiring." It's more like redneck pluming, or I guess HVAC in this case.

just so we are clear here. you are pissed Pluckers wont sell you an item that is either a loss-leader, or a breakeven lunch special (which is clearly marked as a dine-in only option)?
the reason they offer that deal is because 90% of the folks who come in order a beer, or soda with that deal.
so they should honor a loss leader lunch special? The take out boxes and plasticware also cost money.
The only way they can stay open is by making money. if they sell you that lunch special at best they are breaking even. at worst, its a loss.
maybe you need to stick to your principles and actually spend the extra $2 that the non-lunch special would have cost there cupcake.
Or they could charge $2 more rather than telling a customer he can't have what he wants and they won't take his money.

No one in CONCACAF would care enough to show up and harass them anyway. Maybe in Europe.

US Soccer already subsidizes the entire women's pro league and the top players are on salary rather than strictly per appearance fees. The men have higher bonuses (provided they ever actually qualify for anything again) but that's because the FIFA TV rights are exponentially higher for the men.
But all the women have to do is say "equal pay" and the pr battle is won, facts be damned.
-
I'm not sure that was a good move by Denise but it was definitely entertaining. Sandra should have never agreed to let her pay the 2nd token after the vote. As soon as she said that I saw that gave Denise incentive to vote out Sandra.

MLB Network has been playing some old stuff this morning. 1990 World Series Game 2 just ended. Chris Sabo and the Specs pulled a single through the left side off of Eck and then Joe Oliver walked it off with a double down the 3rd baseline.

I'm really liking this show so far.
So, out of all of the people you can watch fucking Marilyn Monroe, the kid went with Arthur Miller? No JFK, no Joe D?

Cordeiro seems like an idiot. The women's case is also pretty spurious imo.

Lulz, Price of Right just had a trip to the Final Four in Atlanta in the showcase.

Anyone watching this? It's a 30 minute comedy starring Martin Freeman. The mom is also really good.

I've been eyeing a thermal cycler and some Taq polymersae so I can do my own PCR amplification and testing.

I wonder if they will shorten the season ultimately, bc this thing won’t magically go away by April. WS in November?
I'm thinking they shorten it. I don't see them trying to squeeze in 162 through fewer offdays & scheduled DHs, especially with CBA negotiations coming up. In 1995, they only played 144 after the strike was finally resolved.

I can't imagine the Big 12 will hold out much longer. PAC, SEC, and MWC have all suspended the season

Winfield was tall but kept his athletic & lean build most of his career. He wisely didn’t try to turn himself into Hulk.
I don't think Winfield was ever lean. He was always stocky and pretty jacked.
In college for the Minnesota basketball team
In the 1992 World Series, his 20th season, at age 40
Maybe ask Nolan his opinion?

Texas Tribune has also been reporting Texas county data, updated daily. Same caveats to reporting standards apply though.
