  1. My close captioning picked up the following from the baseball game on the radio: "75 rbis, .249 average, Braves lead 4-3, Murphy homer top of 5th, Gary winds and delivers, Home run for Chili Davis, Giants tie the game"

Looks like it was the last game of the year in 1987, Braves at Giants.  Dale Murphy homered in the top of the 6th, Chili Davis homered off of Chuck Cary (not Gary) in the bottom of the 6th.  After the solo homer, Chili Davis finished with a .250 average and 76 rbis.

I'm not sure why a Braves at Giants game would have been on the radio in DC.  I wonder where they got the recording.

The Ringer has a more in-depth explanation of what ESPN+ is and what it offers: https://www.theringer.com/sports/2018/4/2/17190026/espn-plus-streaming-service-april-12

Basically, it's not really aimed at cord-cutters. It's intended as a paid supplement to ESPN's eight cable networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Classic, ESPNews, ESPN Deportes, Longhorn Network, SEC Network) offering "less popular" sports like tennis, cricket, rugby, etc. It's completely separate from WatchESPN; no live event that is on one of ESPN’s existing networks will be on ESPN+. None of the ATP tournaments ESPN already owns the rights to (ATP World Tour Finals, Indian Wells, Miami, Cincinnati, and Montreal) will be on ESPN+ either. They're basically splitting off a big chunk of their tennis content to this service, forcing us to now pay $5/month more to see the Slam matches we could have seen on WatchESPN otherwise.

So it's similar to what NBC Sports did with EPL this year.  That sucks.
