  1. Seems extremely likely that Jones will be back next year on the roster as a scholarship player since there is no way he is going to take a medical scholarship because that would be giving up on his dream to be an elite basketball player. Recovering so that he plays at the same level next season as he did before he got sick seems like it would be a miraculous and improbable thing to accomplish so soon.
  2. Dylan played a lot more minutes and shot a lot more than Papi so it is expected that he would score more. Papi hit a much higher % on 3s and was a similar rebounder per minute played. Papi was also a true frosh while Dylan was in his his 4th year in college.
  3. Sims improved tremendously by season's end so season averages tell you nothing about the upward trend in his play, especially the last several games of the season. Coach Horn did a great job with Sims last year and Sims most likely will continue to improve a ton next season under Horn's tutelage. Having such a raw game made it easier for him to improve compared to more polished players and I expect Sims to continue to improve a lot next season. Sims already handles well for a big. With his explosive quickness and leaping ability, Sims only needs to bounce the ball once or twice to go from outside to the rim and finish. Sims is naturally ambidextrous which is a huge asset for both driving and finishing inside. I don't expect Sims to be an offensive star next season but do expect that he will have a good fg shooting % and would not be surprised to see him average >= 10 pts/game.
  4. Shaka is kind of in limbo. He isn't doing as well as most of us thought he would but he isn't doing horrible, either. CDC will probably not fire Shaka without giving him every chance to succeed. Fenves is probably not eager to fire Shaka. My guess is that Shaka keeps his job so long as he runs a clean program, makes March Madness, recruits great, and improves. I am really interested to see how CDC helps Shaka improve.
  5. I estimate the probability that Shaka gets replaced this off season at less than 1%. What do you estimate the probability is that Shaka gets replaced this off season? My question is about what will happen not what you think should happen.
  6. Assuming CDC doesn't fire Shaka before next season, what do you think CDC will make Shaka do to improve his performance?
  7. Shaka obviously not getting fired this year since he got into March Madness despite losing Jones and Davis and Bamba being injured down the stretch. So is Shaka under any pressure with CDC? For example, is Shaka in any real danger of losing his job next season? What does Shaka have to do next season for CDC to either fire or keep Shaka? I'm sure CDC retains Shaka if he makes the NCAA tourney. Not sure how bad it has to get for CDC to fire him, maybe sub .500 season?
  8. Thanks for not posting pic.
