I don't think I've ever had anything good there. We used to go to the outlet up off Far West every once in a while because we could feed the 6 of us for about $30 on 2-for-1 enchilada night, but their food was mediocre at their best.
We went to Curra's Hyde Park after the game yesterday. Maybe they were just off, but it was not great. Food was a couple of notches down from the last time I went. I feel bad because I've been recommending it a lot lately. FAFO I suppose.
No, I played guitar in one of the encore songs but laid pretty low stage left (your right). Pearl snap cowboy shirt. It's pretty fucking weird seeing a show that big from the other side.
I don't know how accurate this is, but we are apparently #10 in baseball revenue, with 7 SEC schools + Clemson + Gonzaga ahead of us. I'm not sure a rebuild will move the needle enough to warrant the expense.
D1 baseball revenue
I like the idea. A 3% shortfall on Christmas is a huge deal most years. Crank that to 10%? It would be brutal.
Unfortunately, it would cause a massive amount of collateral damage and wouldn't affect the main targets one bit.
I know they'll sell out, but a shit ton of their fans have already bought tickets for Stubb's and Mohawk. This might be one of the biggest non-festival "local" nights in years. (I'm considering Spoon as a local band, even though they aren't.)
LOL Joe is my hero. Smartest guy I've ever met. He pushed me way farther than I knew I could go, I learned half of what I know from him. Yeah, he can be a dick.
Sounds like every arrogant engineering professor.
I have worked as an engineer all my life. Most engineers are technicians -- they turn wrenches and draw shit. The ability to handle being wrong is anathema to them. Being wrong is part of innovation. I work with people who say "what if" as opposed to "this is". THAT'S where technology thrives, and it doesn't take a BS/MS/PhD in "Engineering" to get there. It just takes humility.
