  1. I had to replace my first Thermapen, but it lasted about a half dozen years, so I didn't care. Best thermometer ever. Plus, it comes in orange. (Not the correct orange, but orange enough.)
  2. <dejection> The kick is good. Priceless.
  3. Well, you bought "biscuits and gravy" chips, so that's on you. I applaud the effort, though.
  4. What I probably didn't disclose, not being a doctor and not knowing shit about shit, is that she had gestational diabetes with two of our four kids. That said, she disclosed all this to her docs, so, you know . . .
  5. Sometimes my objective mind convinces me it's in our best interest for A&M to win a given game, and then I start watching said game, and something goes wrong for the Aggies and I start laughing and immediately find myself rooting for their opponent and then 3 hours later the game is over and they've lost and I am supremely satisfied.
  6. Dammit I just rewatched that footage of our band playing "Amazing Grace" in total deference to the magnitude of the day and when I think back as to how those fuckwads treated our team I want to roll into Kyle and beat the shit out of those assholes. God I hate Texas A&M.
  7. I won't speak for Huckleberry, and this surely isn't his point, but A&M does not look like a team that can score on us unless we gift them short field position, and if we do that multiple times, we deserve to lose.
  8. With our luck someone is gonna drown in the lazy river.
  9. Now I wish I hadn't eaten my enchiladas, but I was really hungry.
  10. I'm not suiting up, and the team isn't listening to me, so I'll say it out loud: OU has a better defense. Will we score 34 points or more? Not sure. Will UK? No way.
  11. Less than one per game? Yeah, that's good . . . for us. It is very hard to mount a sustained drive against our defense. Absent turnovers, scoring is rare.
  12. I'm kinda with you on that. I think it's a character flaw. Sue me.
  13. Well, we've had 1 turnover in the last 9 quarters, so I'm not too worried.
  14. I think those are the two most likely scenarios. No way Sark promises the job to Quinn, with the possible exception of a national title this year (and in my opinion not even then.)
  15. You should text Sark, because you've clearly cracked the code.
  16. Please list all the long drives opponents have managed against us this year. Especially opponents with middling to worse offenses. Their punter better be eating his Wheaties.
  17. Sure, anything can happen, especially at night on the road against a team whose fans hate us more than they love themselves. (And lord do they love themselves.) Just a little more color: Total Defense -- UT #1, A&M #47 Total Offense -- UT #18, A&M #49 Doesn't look great for our friends on the Brazos.
  18. Eh. Total Defense -- UGA #14, A&M #47 Total Offense -- UGA #48, A&M #49 Y'all are overestimating how good this team is.
  19. How exactly is A&M going to score on us more than we score on them? Y'all are being dramatic.
  20. It's a 50/50 proposition. A&M loses to Auburn, I laugh. A&M beats Auburn, elevating their own hype, and then loses to us, I laugh. I like laughing. Don't care.
  21. If it's the 6:30 kick, we should just drive over in the morning. I'm sure that's a non-starter, but I'm still pissed at the fiasco those jackasses created. Major got food poisoning, the hotel mysteriously failed to provide breakfast, a whole bunch of our players were harassed by phone during the night. And yet our band still went out and set a bar for class those dipshits could never match.
  22. Talk to a 'bama fan, they'll tell you we kicked their ass. (And then they'll say we didn't get late-season Milroe.) Fans tend to focus on offense, and the 'bama game was just more dynamic (454/362 total yards versus 315/231 against Arkansas). Furthermore, 'bama was a 7 point favorite whereas we were a 14 point favorite over Arkansas. Both games ended with no attempt at a FG to make it a 13 point differential, which would have just about nailed the Vegas line on Saturday. Texas fans really need to embrace the fact that this is an elite defensive team with a "good" offense, and wins are often going to look ugly.
