There was one near the Arboretum, too. Decent fries, I don't remember anything else being remarkable. The owner was apparently the same guy who owned Mezzaluna, Bitter End and now Grove Wine Bar(s).
National media seems to see that it's less an Arch issue than it is an OL and scheme issue, but Texas fans you do you. (No, this in no way implies Arch has no culpability here.)
Yeah, that bothered me too. Beyond that, he's just a superior writer. He was agonizing over tense and other composition details and she couldn't be bothered to care. The guy has a degree in English, he's not unaware.
I feel bad that I wrote this guy off early on. His cover of "War Pigs" blew my mind -- terrific band and he totally brought it. Live and learn, I guess.
Sark specifically said they were trying to stress UF deep. We just didn't make the throws most of the time. Wingo's pass would have made a huge difference, that was an easy TD.
I liked the strategy, but the execution lacked, and the OL had a lot to do with that.
Honestly, I've bailed on more headliners than I can count. Kanye/Coldplay come to mind -- both sucked, I just went home. The Cure was another, but that was because of rain. The crowds are so insane for the headliners that I just don't have the gumption to fight my way close enough to matter. I remember watching the Foos recently and thinking "what the fuck am I doing here, I've seen them a half dozen times from 3X as close as this?".
The problem with that approach for me is that some of the best performances I've seen often come early in the day. James Bay (2014) is an example. True Believers (2013) is another.
So for those who know more than me about OL play (which is every one of you) -- how would you grade Stroh vs Brooks on Saturday? I assume Stroh is a uniform "F".
Beyond that, they will now be a quartet with a dedicated keyboard player.
I stopped listening to Rush after they peaked (my opinion) with Moving Pictures. The next album really turned me off, and random songs I'd hear down the road didn't change my point of view. NOW I'm pumped. It would also be interesting to hear some new stuff, although lyrics could be a problem. First things first -- this short 7-city tour.
