That looked bad. Hope I'm wrong.
  2. Moreover, there is no way his MAGA multi-decade cop dad would let him live at home with a man transitioning into a woman.
  3. Yup. Three iconic songs (yes, including "Jump") and a lot of solid deeper cuts. And then it all went to hell.
  4. Gracias. Basically a BCBSTX plan not offered to me. (Not to say I don't have similar coverage, I'll just have to check.)
  5. Trump floated RICO today, in a totally nonironic move.
  6. She wants to "bring back" the death penalty. Utah currently retains the death penalty. Over half the country does. Well done, Nancy, you simp.
  7. Ah, so it's the plan. (HMO vs PPO, etc.). I don't think I'm on ERS. I do however love beer and bbq.
  8. Is there no such legal construct as conspiracy any more? If a mob boss compels underlings to commit a crime, he is a conspirator in that crime, no? If a podcaster spews hateful rhetoric and advocates for (say) the stoning of gays, and some gays get literally (literally!) stoned, is that not conspiratorial behavior? It's just "opinion"? I was taught that freedom of speech doesn't imply freedom from consequences, but maybe I was stoned that day (ahem).
  9. That scale seems to be unnecessarily compressed. 80 ("above 80" is "very good") but 73 is "horrible"? Congratulations! You've gone from 77.2 to 77.9! Average to good!
  10. Believe it or not, there was a time when it was fairly common for people outside of the state to ask "Texas Aggies?" when they met a UT grad. It seemed to gain the most traction during and shortly after the Jackie Sherrill years. And, the football teams in "Best Little Whorehouse In Texas" (1978) are the "Texas Aggies" and the "Longhorns".
  11. It was much more difficult to build that kind of cult of personality in the early to mid-80s. There was essentially no social media, and people had 2 maybe 3 choices (Republican, Democrat, independent). They also tended to be much more private in their political discussions. (OK, there were the initial tendrils of Usenet but outside of academic dorks like me the vast majority of people knew nothing about that.)
  12. Do you remember the brouhaha over The Eyes of Texas?
  13. I'm on BCBSTX, fill me in. What's the "ERS version"? I'm definitely needing a boost (ahem).
  14. Jesus Christ.
  15. He should have peppered in some "smooth-brained", right?
  16. A former HS friend who is now an elected official posted this on Facebook. She definitely thinks she's a badass, but beyond that this reeks of indoctrination. The weird thing is, she's very close with her sister who is a lesbian professor of architecture and who somehow didn't get infected with any political virus other than the kind, compassionate progressive bug. I have no idea how they still talk.
  17. Dammit, I never get invited to the cool kids clubs.
  18. I only learned maybe the day before. I wasn't going to go but decided to cut out from the office early enough to get there. It wasn't as rowdy as their first in-store at the old location, and the whole thing was a little low key. Not bad, but you didn't miss much.
  19. lolwut? It ain't your website. Are you confusing this with some sort of First Amendment issue?
  20. Do you have even the slightest knowledge of how broken your own brain is? God damn, dude. Go get some help.
  21. He never said a fucking word, but Antifa!
  22. Reminds me of when my daughter favored UMinn over all her other choices. Great school, no problem with that, but holy shit darling you were born and raised in Austin. Might want to rethink that. "But I went to Chicago for 3 days in December and it wasn't that bad?" Uh, yeah get back to me after spending 6 months 300 miles north of Chicagol
  23. God damn you are one stupid motherfucker. ANTIFA! Drink! Idiot.
