  1. If you grew up in the midwest during a certain timeframe (think "Dazed & Confused" era) it was pretty hard to avoid REO Speedwagon. They were good and even sometimes great before the great migration to power ballads. There is no denying Gary Richrath's talent, that guy was a smokin' guitar player who unfortunately decided he liked whiskey more than music.
  2. Joe Biden didn't throw him in prison, but Kamala would?
  3. Well if you'd buy a guitar we'd have something better to talk about.
  4. Tre Wisner over CJ Baxter for All-American is certainly a take. I get it, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna play out differently.
  5. MJ Lenderman was good, not great. For one, I hate the way they EQ his voice live. I know he has more bass tone than that. Regardless, it was a pretty mellow show, and when they did crank it up and get psyche-ey the volume just wasn't there in the building. That said, this is a fantastic song, and it came off really well:
  6. Not all of us have the will power to wait until the checkout bargain bins.
  7. uhhh . . . what's a PDR shop?
  8. Man, those sensors are a money grab. They alert when a tire is a half psi out of range, and they generally crap out over time anyway. Build the habit of looking at your tires before you jump in the car. It's really not that hard to spot one that is struggling.
  9. I love the part of Trump is Journey where he's playing drums but the AI got all confused and had him sitting off on the side of the kit:
  10. It feels like there was an alley connecting it to Antone's back stage entry? I can't remember if it was gated off.
  11. Heh. Our margin of victory is a lot higher on that version of the award. Well done, Ags.
  12. MJ Lenderman tonight at Moody Theater
  13. I volunteer to be the asshole who shows up the night before to see the goods early.
  14. Eating with one's hand is a tell that they're from Africa? The stupid is so fucking strong. (Hey Laura, ask him why he doesn't eat with his left hand.)
  15. I want to believe Graham is real. He's real enough, he has definitely fingered the pulse of Aggies everywhere, or something. In looking at their schedule, I don't see how they win more than 1-2 of these games: @ ND, @ Arky, @ LSU, @ Mizzou, SC, @ Texas. 8-4 best case, clickety clickety clack.
  16. I do 2.43 : 1.295: 0.05 on baby backs. I don't cook spares or StL, I'm not a cretin.
  17. There might be some slightly tan skin tone in that group, but going with the Beyonce choreography is a very bold move. Oh, it's also terrible.
  18. Let me guess: dads standing around a BYOB ballgame tailgate waiting on players to get out, and at some point the other team's middle reliever comes up in conversation soon followed by "THAT kid got a scholarship to Texas?"
  19. I have full faith and confidence in our federal government getting to the bottom of this toot sweet.
  20. Those sensors suck. Do what I do -- ignore the warning light.
  21. 7NA is obviously a huge contender. I'd suggest Spoon "The Way We Get By" or Wilco "Heavy Metal Drummer", although neither rocks as hard as 7NA. Neither is anywhere near as well known, though.
  22. Jackson Browne was 16 years old when he wrote that song. Yikes.
  23. lulz. I know Rudy's isn't top 50 level barbecue, but their spicy chop is plenty edible and costs barely half that amount.
  24. I just think Texans in general are gonna shy away from "sweet" in their 'que. I can handle a sweeter glaze/sauce on pork, though. Seems pretty complementary to me.
  25. Being good at most jobs requires little more than a strong work ethic along with the base intellect to learn to perform one or two tasks at a reasonably high level. Plenty of successful people are still gullible.
