  1. Yeah, that's some pretty epic falsetto towards the end.
  2. Hey, I grew up not all that far from Branson, and let me tell you, it used to suck. Then the money spigot opened up, and now it sucks.
  3. tOSU 30 Texas 21 Yards: 330
  4. Huh. I've seen some rank produce at the Fiesta near campus (38.5th and I35). Haven't paid all that much attention, though, I usually just buy bulk chiles there. I'll check it out again.
  5. Street was named MVP of the undefeated 1969 national championship team, and he played QB. I think that's reason enough to put him way high in the pantheon of UT QBs. No losses, ever? Even more reason.
  6. Yeah, in college he's the de facto GM along with being the head coach and play caller. In the pros he might get some say in personnel decisions, but hardly autonomy. Some guys actually like recruiting. Mack did. Say what you will about his ego and inability to pull the ripcord, but he was an elite people person, and Sark has a lot of those qualities, too. It doesn't mean he loves that part of the job, I have no idea, but he clearly excels at it.
  7. I'm not sure that's true at all. I bet NFL coaches like Andy Reid work every bit as much as Sark does. It's just a more focused effort. Some guys appreciate that, some guys don't.
  8. So Mike Earley is gonna get them to the promised land. Finally. Good thing they got rid of that chump they had last year.
  9. Sark's current salary would be Top 10 in the NFL, and I don't think the guys making more are getting fired any time soon.
  10. Yep, I've traveled all over Europe and had random people flash me the horns if I'm wearing UT gear, including the dad from "Family Ties" at the Tower of London. That was a surprise. I don't recall ever hearing the mellifluous siren song of the Aggie; i.e., "whoop!".
  11. Produce. Highest quality in town and often the best price. Bakery is typically "eh". Meat department is solid, but can be pricey. Tons of ready-to-eat options that are mostly really good (salads, entrees that you bake at home, etc.). HEB branded products tend to be good, from snacks to dry goods to medicines.
  12. Did you look up winning percentage or national titles?
  13. I'm not sure how a sitting 1st-term President can be convinced not to run again, but if Biden had said "no mas" well before the primaries I doubt the results would have been any worse.
  14. Page 35 chili game is strong to very strong. I'm skipping work Friday to cook a batch.
  15. 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐑𝐔𝐌𝐎𝐑: There has been "whispers" around the internet that too many twitxers skipped middle school English class.
  16. My reaction was "holy crap, I wasn't aware that he was doing that well".
  17. That's one of those celebrity couples that makes one say "it's a good thing Marcus is extremely talented".
  18. A milfy well-to-do Dallas area real estate broker who flew to Washington DC in a private jet for the express purpose of breaking into the Capitol Building was "canceled" by society?
  19. Met a tOSU grad in Austin, married her, visited Ohio many times because it was important to stay in touch with the racists, got divorced. The end.
  20. My starter wife was a Buckeye grad. I spent a lot of time up there. To put it mildly, I am not fond of the school. Neither is any Texas fan who traveled to Columbus for the '05 game. Pure trash. We treated them great here in '06, and I don't think they understood why.
  21. Cronin never struck me back then as having such a strong yet latent dork gene. Eventually, though . . .
  22. I'm going sock puppet, and my top 3 candidates are HenryJames, Beau Vine, and BrickHorn.
  23. Eh, Austin still has The Hole In The Wall. (Not that I'd trade.)
