Charlie Kirk got ded, Erika Kirk grifts in place
No doubt it hasn't been a big drop, but I haven't seen my kids' rents in west and north campus go up in several years. (Different properties, apples to oranges, but still $800/mth per kid.)

Rents are down in Austin. Don't know if you consider that "desirable". We're going to sell in the spring and rent for a bit before moving, probably to Santa Fe.

Auburn @ Oklahoma
I was thinking "Oakley wearing pre-widomaker victim coating his F150 windshield with spittle in a sociopolitical rant", but the judges will accept your answer.

Trump’s America
Well, one guy didn't, and I'm not referring to Charlie Kirk.

Candace Owens
Shouldn't it be "Auntie Tom"?

Wouldn't a DNA test showing XX pretty much sew up that argument, absent very rare exceptions?

I'm sure Trump's H1B stunt won't affect inflation whatsoever.

Mainstream media boycott
Yeah, what's the bump on treefiddy? I'll do it. No, he didn't. It's just typical right wing snowflake bullshit.

2025 Random Games thread
This Tech-Utah game is the worst college football game I've ever seen, and I saw Texas-UTEP.

Favorite Rolling Stones Song?
I left off "Miss You". Best disco song ever, and by a long shot.

Best opening lyrics of all time
Indulge me and consider the video for that song. The studio musicians were Mick Fleetwood and John McVie on drums and bass, and Waddy Wachtel on guitar. Allegedly they went with take 2 of 59 takes, which cracks me up. Anyway, the musicians in the video are NOT those three -- looks like Stan Lynch (Heartbreakers) on drums at the very least, and a second guitarist as well. Who are the other guys?

Best opening lyrics of all time
"I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand, walkin' through the streets of SoHo in the rain" is kinda hard to top, and it IS an opening lyric.

Concerts you are attending
That's Pam Peltz (Ursa Major) and Carrie Clark (16 Deluxe). I like their slightly off kilter Brit-pop via Texas. They have a big ally in Simon le Bon of Duran Duran -- he spins their tunes on his podcast all the time.

Favorite Rolling Stones Song?
Dead heat between "Beast of Burden", "Wild Horses" and "Honky Tonk Women".

Mainstream media boycott
Regarding the NIL funds: people pulling their donations will surely get the attention of other donors, and I'm really really really sure a lot of them are MAGAbbots. So yeah, UT football can sit and spin for all I care. We suck anyway.

Man, if I thought back to every decision I made and how my parents must have felt about some of them I'd just lose it. They will make their way, and it's THEIR way. - Share Your Music (it probably sucks but that’s not why we do it)
