  1. Well, if they had admitted women before 1972 they'd be a lot more competitive at football now. Multiple natties, at least 2-3 more Heisman Trophies, and those sips wouldn't have the upper hand on them like they do. I mean, it's obvious.
  2. Yeah, the "barking seals" comment wasn't a tell, not at all.
  3. The bit about Boy George not showing up and they find out he's in New York was hilarious. "Uh, there's a Concorde in two hours, get on it". He did, and then he sang his ass off.
  4. That's some fucking irony right there, that's what that is.
  5. You can't hardly get a drink on a cruise ship after boarding until you've gone over the life preserver + lifeboat drill. It seems pretty obvious to most of us, but sure, let's pretend there is no threat.
  6. Somebody please clarify: the Steele Dossier, which was funded and weaponized by Hillary Clinton, was "fake" and "fully discredited"?
  7. No, he didn't write it, but damn he did it right.
  8. I swear, I will figure out how to count that song before I die, but it will probably be a horse race.
  9. The speech "raised conerns about Trump's age and capacity"? Well, it's about time. That's a new angle for sure.

    Sammiches

I had a decidedly 'meh" cheesesteak there once. Other visits were good for a beer, but I can't say I ever had a transcendent sammich.
  11. She had a little lot of help on that one.
  12. You don't seriously believe Mike Johnson believes what he is saying, do you?
  13. Christ, the pathology is so obvious. It takes 2 seconds to see that Teddie K went to Harvard and Michigan.
  14. He absolutely mentioned Livingstone.
  15. Not gonna lie, I read the response before the quote, and I thought you were talking about diapers.
  16. We broke the lease and re-signed w/o the other kid. Clues were stacking up and it seemed to be approaching dangerous. Now looking for a roommate!
  17. Yeah, I was thinking an Albuquerque trip would be nice with the wife, but then I got wrapped up in work and forgot all about it.
  18. He still thinks a cognitive test is somehow related to IQ. Christ on a cracker.
  19. Is Brock still playing in Europe?
  20. Maybe you need to see a doctor?
  21. Inflation ticks up. I would think this article's expectation that this is due to tariffs is not as clear as it's made out to be. My guess is that cause and effect is just that -- a guess, and often the wrong guess. We'll see. Inflation
  22. I liked the anecdote Bob Geldof tells of walking down King's Road in Chelsea and running into Gary Kemp of Spandau Ballet. He gets Kemp on board the idea of teaming with himself and Midge Ure (Ultravox) to write and record a Christmas song and donating the royalties to famine relief in Africa. He goes another 50 yards or so and runs into Sting, and he ropes him in as well. (Sting said you really couldn't say "no" to Geldof, he was too persistent.) So in the space of half an American football field it's not only Geldof and Ure but Kemp and Sting, and they start muscling their other famous friends to do this thing. London.
  23. I don't get the pervasive disdain for U2. Those guys could turn "Wheels On The Bus" into a fucking anthem. They just have something, some "IT", and yeah, it's in Bono's ego and Edge's guitar. I only saw them once, on the Joshua Tree tour in Houston. I had floor seats, which might have been great but everyone stood on their chairs the whole show so I could barely see anything but the top of Edge's hat. I should have brough some phone books. Regardless, that show kicked ass.
