  1. If you want a boat in that price range, check out Supreme. Lake Austin is one opposing wake after another. You want a hull designed to handle that, and Mastercraft ain’t it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Sold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. If you didn't go, how do you know? I actually really enjoyed the UTEP game atmosphere. It was easy in/easy out. No garage traffic. No people crowing into my seats. No beer line. No bathroom line. Now granted, I'll gladly put up with all that stuff for a sellout crowd and a great game against a ranked opponent, but UTEP is never going to be that game regardless of Covid. I agree, TX/OU is a very different animal this year. Thus my tickets being on sale. That and I only got two, instead of the usual four. But if you want to be there in person to see Texas finally put one on the Sooners again, tickets won't be easy to come by.
  4. I offset my two measly axles with a slip at a marina.
  5. Happy shopping, asshole. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Section 117, Row 11. Two seats together. $360 each. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. 4 tickets together for Texas v. TCU, Section 8, Row 63. Designated entry through Gate 7. $160 per ticket. Purple parking pass free with purchase. I will transfer tickets electronically, parking pass available for pick up in Westlake or near my office at 2222/Mopac. I can make the electronic ticket transfer right in front of you when I give you the parking pass. Pic shows view from seats. This is lower level just under the upper deck overhang, so you are in the shade and if it rains, you stay dry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Came super close to putting in a order for the Ri245, but Ski Dock was high on the price and while I was deciding what to do about it I stumbled across the deal on that Ri237. They wanted $180k for an Ri245 w/ a sticker of $210k. I found people getting boats with higher stickers for >$10k less than that. Even had a SANTE friend get me an offer a new G25 for $170k. Ski Dock's only explanation for their price discrepancy with their competitors out of state is that Austin is a hot market. I don't know why that should matter when you can haul a boat from anywhere in the country at just $1.25/mi. Anyways, I feel like I was being super thrifty with what I ended up buying, like when your wife comes home and tells you about how much money she saved on discounts.
  9. Boat market is HOT. I listed my pontoon on Tuesday and sold it yesterday, less than 24 hours later. Wasted $150 listing it on Boat Trader since my buyer found me on Craigslist and lives just a few miles away. It's the covered gray thing in the background of the pic above.

  11. Exactly. My in-laws lived on a small private east Texas lake during the last major drought and everyone was out there with their chainsaws clearing stumps. When it filled back up, it was a much safer lake.
  12. That’s what I was guessing. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. What’s it like on the Perd these days? I have some friends looking at getting a Vrbo there in a few weeks, and I’m wondering if it’s safe to take my brand new boat back there. Seems sketchy but I’ve never been in that water. The house is near Highway 71. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I figure it will be easy. I've wake boarded a little, knee boarded a lot, skied, etc. I love to snowboard. Kids have just about out grown the ski trainer. They'll mostly be interested in tubing for now, but I'm ready to start pushing them to surf soon. 5yo boy and 7 yo girl. The girl appears to have gotten all the height and athleticism, at least so far. It's a cruel, cruel world.
  16. On Lake Austin, 150’ from the shoreline means you’re running 2” from the opposite shoreline. Only a slight exaggeration. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. So speaking of not knowing fuck all… I know fuck all about surfing. I’ve never pulled a surfer and I’ve never surfed. And yet, I have a very nice surf boat being delivered shortly. Fortunately, I have at least some experience driving and trailering boats, and I’m very interested in learning. My boat has a pretty complicated surf system that I’ve been reading about on the Internet and will toy with a bunch when the boat arrives. But if anyone has recommendations on great ways to learn more than just what I can find on YouTube and FB groups, please let me know. Also, I don’t have a lot of the equipment I’ll need. I own one very nice surfboard (which I found on the lake) and couple of things for the kids. I’m in the market for a good surf rope, a tube (and rope) , a skimboard, and a hydrofoil. Damn, those hydrofoils are $$$! At the moment I’m looking at just buying those things on Amazon, but I would love a recommendation for a better place to shop and specific brands. Thanks! I was thinking about buying these today: Leader Accessories 3-Person Towable Tube, Front & Back Tow Points https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SKDFLV6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_VPmzFbKZ1CNNF SWELL Wakesurf 25' Premium Braided Rope with 10" Handle - Wake Surfing Rope https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077GCRPH9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_CQmzFbF08TBK3 That and my board should get us and the kids off to good start for now. Hydrofoil and skim board on the wish list. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks! That color is called Pretty Penny metal flake, which looks straighter than it sounds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Just signed a purchase agreement. Being delivered from South Carolina... Dog not included, but I already have my own. Anyone have experience shipping a boat? I’m hiring someone through the Centurion dealer, so presumably a reputable professional. Things I should look out for? I figure I’ll get it on my insurance policy before it heads this way. Should I have it wrapped for shipping or is that unnecessary? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I've only gotten one offer for these so far for $300. At that price I think I'll just take the family to the game. Someone wants to beat that, let me know. Funny-ish story. The guy who made that offer reached me through Craigslist. He says, "How do I know I'll even get in?" I say, "Why wouldn't you get in? They're real tickets." He says, "Well it's only 25% capacity. What if they're full before I get there?"
  23. I have four tickets together for Texas v. UTEP, Section 8, Row 63 plus the purple parking pass. $420 for all of it. Tickets I will transfer electronically, parking pass available for pick up in Westlake or near my office at 2222/Mopac. I can make the electronic ticket transfer right in front of you when I give you the parking pass. Here’s the view from the seats: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
