  1. Interesting observation from Chris Hummer, But I think you should complete the analysis by looking at the total. I think I got this right: Ten: Alabama Nine: Texas, Georgia Eight: anm Six: Oregon, Clemson Five: OU, FSU, Florida Four: Stanford, Michigan Three: USC, Washington, Auburn, Tennessee Two: Miami, Penn State, Ohio State Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Mika Kunis, Bar Rafaeli, and Gal Gadot might help fill out our JAP lineup. Need them to schedule visits first. Edit. Nevermind. 2 of those are JIP’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Sorry. Haven't seen the other thread. And I actually looked, briefly. The bar surely has a commercial general liability policy that will provide coverage. It does get a tad murky on coverage b/c they'll claim the assault, if that's what it was, was outside the course and scope of the employment and the liability is therefore on the bouncer individually, who presumably has no coverage. However, Sorrels is undoubtedly smart enough to allege torts that do fall under the CGL coverage, such as failure to properly train, carefully select and properly supervise employees, etc.
  4. http:// https://m.chron.com/news/houston-texas/houston/article/Former-Astros-star-s-son-friend-accuse-bouncer-13574623.phputm_campaign=hchronfb Kacy Clemens and another minor league baseball player are suing Concrete Cowboy in Houston over an assault by a bouncer on NYE. Interested to hear Surly’s thoughts on this kind of lawsuit. Even as an attorney who is board certified in personal injury, I generally have declined these sorts of cases b/c there is always alcohol involved and the implications of mutual combat with rarely an unbiased witness or determinative video. I’ve had friends pursue them with little success. Just this week I declined a referral from an out of state lawyer who represented some tourists that were assaulted by a bouncer at a well known bar on Dirty 6th. The lawyer in this case, Randy Sorrels, is a very capable attorney who is definitely not in desperate need of new cases. He may just be doing a favor for Clemens or he may really buy into this case. Just wondering what the public thinks about these cases. It’s not hard to buy into the idea of an overzealous poorly trained bouncer, but it’s also not hard to buy into the idea of a drunk, aggressive, non-compliant bar patron. 6. I never hear anyone talk about this situation from the perspective of the student athlete. Until we drop the charade and start paying players, they should be as free to move b/t schools as any other student. Giving them a schollie does not make them chattel. If a kid gets a schollie for playing tuba at Texas but decides they hate Austin or can’t make the grades, do they get punished or kicked out of band if they decide to transfer to Tech? I realize that as fans, this whole free agency-style situation is frustrating and scary, but college sports aren’t supposed to be for us. They’re supposed to be about the students. These kids should be free to pursue their education (and sport) however they see fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Texas gave up as many points as Bama did tonight only one time this year, and Texas won that game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. VY’s only regret about leaving early is it cost him a chance to play for an NFL coach who didn’t suck.
  10. It's precisely b/c they won the heisman that I use them as examples. Everyone who could keep their head above the fray knew that despite their tremendous college success, neither of these guys were NFL QB's. Yet, they both went 1st round. Any intelligent person should've known that was a wasted 1st round pick. But NFL GM's get caught up in the hype and crowd think just like everyone else. This is why a great DT like Poona goes undrafted and an obviously terrible NFL QB with a Heisman goes 1st round. I guess I just don't give NFL scout "experts" as much credit as you do. I depose experts of a different kind for a living and I find that most of them are full of shit. I don't trust scouts to realize what a great find LJH is, yet, and neither should LJH. Of course, I'm an incredibly biased person to be advising LJH, but hopefully someone else is telling him the same thing. I think staying and leaving is the difference b/t being a day 1 pick and day 2.
  11. Did you have to stick your head in the dirt to be able to hear that from 6' under?

  15. I’ve got four sugar bowl tickets together on row 14 of section 618. I would like to trade them for a pair on the lower level sideline. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. meh. he hasn't flipped, yet. and I don't really give a shit. It's all about Sanders, McCoy, Georgia and the blowy.
  19. Sanders and McCoy are coming to Texas. Powell isn't flipping. Leal is. My wife is waking me up with a blowy on January 1. And Texas will beat the shit out of Georgia.
  20. Thanks! Sorry to hear this happened. I’m board certified in personal injury trial law and office in Austin. Happy to discuss. FWIW, quickly talking to adjusters but waiting to talk to a lawyer is the exact opposite of what anyone in this situation should be doing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Anyone heard anything from LHF about their Sugar Bowl tickets yet? I put in an application for some about a month ago. I can't even remember how many I requested and nothing on their site says. All I can see on their website is that my application was submitted. Haven't heard if I got tickets or not. Or where they will be. My donor level is 11k out of 38k and my seats for the CCG were dogshit, so I'm less than confident. At this point I'd practically prefer buying from the 2ndary market but don't want to do that until I hear something from LHF.
  22. Jerryworld has a retractable roof, correct? They ever open that thing? Saturday is supposed to be great weather. It would be nice if they opened it up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
