  3. For you beer nerd types such as I, any recs for breweries in the area (let's say generally in the Denver/Boulder/metro area) to check out? It's kind of a choice overload as I look at the options. When looking at out of town places, I am always looking for (i) primarily, the best local beers we can't get back here in Texas and (ii) maybe secondarily, breweries we get distributed here in Texas but have a great brewery/taproom that's worth the visit. TIA
  4. “FucK! Such Horrible LoSSes!” That seems like a pretty accurate aggy sentiment.

On a much better musical note, I saw that the Spazmatics will be playing from 5:30 - 8 at the Tower Stage. Really fun 80s cover band.

  8. Sounds like next step is a claimed aggy championship ala football??

  10. Man that TexAgs radio segment is delicious! So much butthurt…especially from the baseball analyst dude about halfway into the show who is big time mad…and big time hurt since he had (now departed) members of the baseball staff at his wedding. So I guess they owed him never leaving his beloved aggy

Two points of interest I took from it as it relates to football (and beyond already knowing they will carry post game pressers and Monday pressers): -LHN app will have live stats of games along with Craig Way’s radio broadcast -they are “still exploring the opportunities for pre and post game shows” (I hope they get this squared away as mdmost and I always watched the post-game show right through the handing out of their weekly “awards”)
  13. While the quality of the beer is of course paramount, the setting can most certainly enhance the experience imo…of course
  14. I remember seeing the promos for those but it never synced up when we were down in Austin. I remember some of the more experimental programming like that from back in the 4th and Colorado days like Owen screening sex ed films, the series where they had the audience bring in their own short films, the very limited series where they showed bad movies and actually encouraged the audience to heckle and in addition to the original iterations of Weird Wednesday and Terror Thursday
  15. California grocery stores (not even beer stores) imo
  16. Yes, Master Pancake is still going strong (they are actually named checked in the Hollywood Reporter article) and does pretty regular in theater shows these days plus, even better for those of us fans that don't live in Austin since Covid, they do regular shows online each week on Twitch. Mdmost and I have been fans of the Alamo since that original 1 screen theater on 4th and Colorado and I have followed them and their inner workings (from afar as an uber-fan) throughout their expansion. While I can agree with those that feel the zenith of the Alamo was the original Tim and Karrie League-owned days, I think the reality is that it has become more and corporate for many many years now (starting back when they started really expanding into other markets and continuing through the bankruptcy/private equity change). I will be curious to see what Sony ownership brings but, especially as someone here in Dallas with presently closed Alamos, I am excited to at least have a new infusion of money/ownership and they are at least currently paying lip service to honoring all that has made Alamo the brand it is today.
  17. and quickly??
