  1. As a fan of Austin Beerworks who lives in Dallas, this was a nice surprise to find at the Specs off Central. I asked them when they started carrying ABW and they said they didn’t. Apparently someone bought cases of it down at a Specs down south for a party here in Dallas but then returned it to the store here and they were “forced” to accept the return.
  2. “The future is bright! Whoop!”
  3. Narrator: “He could not fly…”
  4. I agree that’s what they should do but it’s such an unprecedented event (at least as far as I know/can recall) that I would be really curious to hear the back and forth discussions being had right now by the NFL top brass
  5. Agreed they absolutely shouldn’t keep playing tonight. First and for most in importance is his and his family’s wellbeing and the mental well-being of the other players on that field. Having said that, from a “the NFL is all about its business” perspective, I would also be extremely interested in hearing the behind the scenes NFL discussions about this. On the one hand, they clearly know the decent thing is to not play. The devil on their other shoulder I’m sure is questioning what they do about these two playoff teams including what’s the logistics if this game is called off tonight. Of course, if this were two teams already out of the playoffs, the game would already have been called off by now.
  6. No matter what happens in these last 22 seconds, you’ve made this a hell of an entertaining game, Tulane.
  7. They can’t dare get in the way of tonight’s NFL game between…(checks notes) the Bills and the Bengals
  8. Yeah and as I realized my initial "bleh...why?" reaction did not seem to be shared by the majority of Surly and I'll reiterate my position: From a business/money perspective, I completely understand it. From a culture/fan perspective, I don't understand it at all.
  9. I will say that, from a more global (neutral) perspective as a huge college football nerd, the fact that TCU went from 5-7 to national championship game is obviously incredible and I can certainly appreciate what a huge deal that is for the vast majority of other teams out there who are not “blue bloods” or otherwise ever in the discussion. So, while I can’t make myself root for them, if they were to win it all, I can acknowledge how cool and improbably that would be (and a source of hope for plenty of other programs) and not gonna be pissed off or anything.
  10. I will continue to root against any confernce opponents to win it all so, at this particular moment in time, I am forced to pledge my support behind uga. On a somewhat related note, I have concerns that once we joins the sec-sec-sec many on this site will start rooting for and having pride in our confernce opponents winning it all when we don’t…something we have made fun of aggy doing for years
  11. This may have already been mentioned by others but TCU has to be the biggest come out of nowhere, surprise national title game participant since….2000 OU?
  12. More like it’s running him by with the way he’s making calls
  13. Go home, Fiesta Bowl - you’re drunk
