  1. tbh, we aint hot 20-somethings no more. The fantasy is no doubt better than the reality.
  2. Sister in law (wife's SIL) is thinking about leaving her man (BIL). I jokingly suggested we buy some huge 7 bedroom house Liberty Hill she move in with us as a sister-wife and my wife is kinda thinking about it. WWJCD?
  3. Re eatate planning. I think about even with my 2 kids. Maybe my daughter would want it, but likely she'll move to a coast and would see no value in some central Texas scrub. But small as it is, my son could (if he wanted it) just sort of take it out of his half of the estate and it wouldn't move the needle too much. But if it was 240+ ac, that's real money.
  4. Glad the conversation turned to some smaller acreage. I got like 80 acres (formerly 35). Got the wildlife ag exemption. We do alright, but mainly just like to drink beer and get a little venison. Do protein in off season and have built a couple wildlife water collection systems.
  5. Fwiw we have 2 switch lite. I have 2 kids (10 and 😎 and this works best. I play rocket league and diablo3 with my son. Good times. I did buy mortal kombat because it was $12 and then googled how to turn off the gore and every reply was "you are a dumbass." Ha.
  6. I bet what takes time hammer out is all the facility upgrades. South endzone will he dope, but other stuff is getting outdated.
  7. I bought an aeon pro from Walmart. Holy shit. I shot myself and I still have a bruise the next day.
  8. This is the first I'm hearing of whistle darts. The potential for psychological warfare has me at amazon right away...
  9. Confession: I enjoy shooting my children with foam darts. That's it, that's the post. Kids having a cranky Saturday? Having trouble prying them from minecraft/roblox? Solution: Nerf war. Tactics? Strategy. They are kids. So stupid. Easy prey. Nerf stuff is fine, but xshot and dart zone are sometimes more potent. Kids are wowed by fancy attachments and gizmos. They even have knock off picatinny rails these days. Wannabe junior mall-ninja fascists, basically. They want those fancy magazine fed blasters. Jam-o-matics. Morons. Dads don't need that crap. We have old man wiles. Pro tip: apparently wally world had the $50 nexus pro which gets like 140fps and is said to make children cry. I like aiming for the neck or ear. That's what they get for waking me before 7am. I've did a spring mod on a nerf accustrike. It rips. My go-to is a hammerstrike. Revolver-style double action means I can keep my noggin behind cover. Kids are idiots about cover. Make em wear eye protection. I guess. Lots of super cheap knock off darts on amazon. My wife thought I was an idiot for my one couch/recliner request: must have cushions that can be used for a fort. But now she gets it, as we duck together in our bedroom hallway foxhole. You need those well crafted murder holes for drilling 10 year olds. The kids? The love it. Dumbasses.
  10. 2008 election: hope is contagious 2020 election: Hope is contagious (I stole it)
  11. correction to page 1: not snake flu. Bats? Pangolins? Hell if I know. But not snakes.
  12. fwiw the austin subreddit has some dude how does absolutely amazing yeoman's work getting the daily stats and putting them in pretty charts. Probably mentioned sometime in the last 1000 pages, I dunno.
  13. I recently put new trucks and wheels on my ~20 year old sector 9 kicktail (43 inch or so). My kids and wife are complete mortified when I skate on our walks. But then yesterday I brought a pink jump rope and skipped the whole way. Now they prefer the longboard. Been thinking of getting a dual kingpin carver, but can't really justify the cost.
  14. Storm doesn't scare me. Name sounds like the Jerry Falwell Jr of storms.
  15. the blind looks like it was built like a brick shithouse.
  16. Sally to Mustang Island, book it.
  17. No more kids quesadilla. Which is odd to me: it is cheese and a tortillas, pico optional. Efficiency I guess?
  18. Titchy thing, but I reckon the wildlife ag nearly demands axis be taken when possible.
  19. Mullin. In general it's a pretty scrappy area without much high fence. But they've been there all year.
  20. Low fence ranch in Mills Co. FIL and BIL are up there this weekend looking for the herd of axis seen on camera.
  21. 101. Ugh. A little drywall; deck around tree. Strap holding rope ladder.
  22. I'm guessing its a coin flip this scenario plays out. But you know what the B12 did that the B1G did not? Gave itself time to see what actually happens this next month.
  23. What is Space City Weather's business model? Website revenue? Reliant $? Is it a project for visibility to get industry consulting gigs?
