  1. I’ve switched cable/dish/internet a few times over the last 11 years we’ve been in our home. Every one of them just left their shit there. It’s on my to do list to get rid of a few of those boxes. They are hidden from street view but it still bothers me.
  2. Just got back from 3 days at Splashway. My body is broken. My liver is broken. Camper did great. Had a tiny spot deep in the transmission wiring harness that was causing all my issues; truck was back to its old self after I got that sorted. Concan next on the calendar, can’t wait.gif
  3. Like his style from a vid or two I’ve seen on him.
  4. I had a 5.3 go just under 300k without motor issues. Have had a 280k and 130k in 6.2s without motor issues. I prefer the 6.2 for the extra oomph but they are millions of the 5.3s on the roads.
  5. I still remember when I realized a 20’ stringer is ALOT better than an 8’. Never cared for the doughnets. But a few visits from the man in the grey suit (or slacks) will fix you up right quick. A couple of years ago we were offshore on a super calm July day, and the heat was getting out of control. We stopped in a random ass spot to grab beers and splash some fuel and I decided I wanted to cool off in the water like the million times I did growing up. As I’m about to jump off the bow the biggest hammerhead I’ve ever seen swims right along the port. Fuck. That. We weren’t on structure, no platforms within miles. Just some spot ~40 miles offshore. No idea what the odds on that one is, but my happy ass stays in the boat when offshore now.
  6. Floater near the mouth. The money wasn’t even the driver at the time, although the wife wouldn’t have been happy. They were 35-50k forever, and I just assumed it wouldn’t make a jump like that. Boss’ SIL bought into one last year, 225k. Too much for me for something you can’t insure that gets damaged that much.
  7. That’s probably right on the faucet. Your setup is pretty bad ass. Wish more could do that, we need some help on water usage.
  8. Mine runs at 5.5G/min. I tested it a year or so ago because of a commercial pressure washer I had needed 5 to run. Don’t know if that’s common or not but assume so. We have a 4500 or 5000g cistern system at the family place in Bandera. It is nice water. I was living up there once when it didn’t appreciably rain for something like 300 days. I trucked water in a few times. Something like @troph has seems like normal life wouldn’t be interrupted.
  9. Ive got one better. Within the last ~7 years, I passed on a cabin in Baffin for 35k. You know, the ones getting 100k just for the permits now... I will never forgive myself or the buddies I pitched it to.
  10. Typed without a hint of irony from the absolute least diverse and wealthiest Houston exurb to ever exist.
  11. Very important that things are trending the correct way thru October.
  12. Friend of mine bought a 1/2 acre and pretty good sized Quonset hut right near the ramp there for something like $4000 about 15 years ago. Ramp was pretty shittacular last time I was there, and shallow all around it. The Tivoli DQ is the night life of the area.
  13. I’d make sure you do your best to spray it down really, really well every time you are there.
  14. Well, until another 9” drops 3 days before dove opener. Like it ALWAYS does.
  15. 9mm Rimfire revolvers though?
  16. Timely thread, dad had a bad fall yesterday while my mother was out. Trying to get to the pasture for some reason - he hasn’t been able to handle the cattle in over 5 years. Don’t know if he’s got the wherewithal to work the watch. Shits fucked yo.
  17. It was a bitch heading in (slightly uphill but you couldn’t see/tell) if pulling a boat. Wasn’t too bad if you were just in a truck. You could feel yourself going downhill on your way out and it was considerably simpler. Was a really nice shortcut to landcut if you had a small boat. It was difficult for me in my skiff to leave from bird island (fuel and big bay asswhip)
  18. Same. You can get some really nice customs for a lot less than WH.
  19. I used to launch there to go to a buddy’s cabin on the land cut. Out of all the times I ever went (including spring break several times) I don’t think I ever saw another soul there. The only time I ever remember people was they were putting in well pad or something back there and there was lots of dump truck in and out, with a dozer maintaining the road thru the dunes. Only “easy” time I ever had (was always towing my boat)
  20. I assume they would destroy it. Certain areas of the state it’s mandatory you take it by the check stations. I’m not sure how quickly they can turn it around, I’ve never had to deal with it. I had a few minutes and they offered, and I was interested. That’s only reason I did. Prions are nasty, nasty, nasty.
  21. Last year I had them do the free test while I was dropping off some deer at the processor. We aren’t in a CWD area but figured what the hell. My meat was ready for pickup about 2 weeks before I got the results back. I continued to eat last years sausage until it was clear because that would be too fucking on brand and ironic.
  22. I’ve seen a few swifts in the last 6 months that weren’t crazy prices. Less that you paid for that Hornet I bet. Couple of them were really nice, I’ll DM you if they come around again. Haven’t seen any Bobs in…ever. I almost convinced myself to pick up a LNIB Kimber of O Bob awhile back, but restrained myself. My goal is to square away a P gun in the next 18 months or so, which is going to significantly slow down some of the rifles I’ve been hunting for awhile.
