  1. 8 pumps…that’s also what we called them. Either Benjamin or 8 pump depending on who it was.
  2. Wasn’t the .177 Sheridan 1000? The .22 was 800. Don’t remember what the weirdo chrome .20 cal did.
  3. Lulz. Guess someone on the business board was able to help you figure out how to value your share, and it’s better than you thought. Typically where the most business savvy go to get their answers about divestment, a college football board. Please continue to flex your $60k Audi though, boss man. And not one but 2 Toyota’s? I couldn’t be more impressed with your wealth.
  4. For real though, what is your actual industry? I can think of about 5 that your routinely post. Serious question, you obv have a few irons in a few fires.
  5. Maybe blaze your own path? Lulz.
  6. I was thinking more along the lines of wasteland with lots of minerals beneath.
  7. F430 has been my dream car since, well, 2005. Before Covid they were trending down to higher spec C8 territory. Now that’s all gone and they’ve been on the rise for last 18 months or so. Maybe someday. 488 and up, shit. Maybe if my OF takes off, lol. I stay in coral gables once a month or so, right across from their Ferrari, Maserati, Mclaren dealer. They have a Senna in there that is unreal. So many 20 somethings over there in super cars, makes you wonder where great gramps went wrong.
  8. I had the .22 Sheridan but always wanted the 177. 177 was a screamer. Wish I knew where that Sheridan is.
  9. I was using estimated round numbers. What is it now, 130-150? Talking 4 year undergrad at UT, with normal roommate apt type situation. eta: when I started the 529 for my oldest, they told us to shoot for 120k or so and then focus other places. She’s 11. Of course now there’s 3 contributions.
  10. Lulz. I’d take any of these migrants who actually like the US over home born Democratic voters. Not even think twice.
  11. Only people who really care are the ones with Austin or College Station on theirs, in my experience. But you’re right, if you are a hammer, it won’t matter (as much).
  12. I agree, I’m not sure there is an answer. Many people (and some on this board) have turned down free rides at UT-D, that’s pretty well respected, to pay 100k+ to attend at Austin. As long as the delta is that severe, you’ll have that happen. If it was my kids it’d be a no brainer - Austin.
  13. This was Quepos, at least this trip. Boat was Double Nickel, it appears (could only see Double … in the pics).
  14. Best enchiladas is El Chaparral imo. Unfortunately the OG out in Helotes is considerably better than the offshoots that are more conveniently located. Been eating there since early 80’s, and is solid af. *Have never had anything but the enchiladas and breakfast. Can’t speak to any of the other staples.
  15. We definitely need more good to great system schools. I just don’t think it ever solves the issues at UT. When you have kids that turn down legitimate better schools to stay home (and why wouldn’t they, it’s in their DNA) youll always have this problem in some sort. Even if UT found another chunk of acreage down the road and tied it in, you’d have people fighting to be in the OG. Sucks, but is what it is. The tech thing is tough. Fuck going to aggy, but they are largely considered a much better school. Fuck a bunch of eternally being looked down upon, academically of all things, by fucking aggy. That would make me want to leave a state I very much love, too. UF, Uga, where ever.
  16. I didn’t get it. I asked but think it got swallowed up in a thread. Will find out next time I see them, if I can recall
  17. This is not wrong, but I’m not sure it’s solvable. You could make UTD, UTSA, and a UTH nearly as reputable and exclusive as Austin, and people would still prefer Austin. Not even for the city. Contrary to Texags thought, there can only be one flagship. And “really, really good system school” isn’t shit if you’re able to get into the flagship.
  18. I asked them to look out for y’all’s ride. You’d know some folks from this group, having been involved (iirc) with POCO for so long.
  19. My POC offshore buddies were down there about 2 weeks ago. Crushed the sails but no Marlin this trip. Didn’t get all the details but know they had several 15-20 sail days, pretty decent days.
  20. I was a bit too young when the bug Johnson shirts were a thing. Old enough to get the jokes, not old enough to wear (lulz). But I don’t remember that many with stars and bars. It’s like every 4th BJ shirt on eBay.
