  1. My daughter currently has the diary of Anne Frank checked out from her school library. From a middle school in aggyville.
  2. Yeah, the ammo isn’t cheap, but it’s not crippling either (hunting, clays…oof). 28 is where it’s at imo. Considerably cheaper ammo, 2x pellets, and still very light recoil. I built up a decent stash of it back when it was the only thing on the shelves. .410 will run you about 1.15/per if you buy in bulk.
  3. Nope. All O/Us - I’m a quail and clay shooter 95% of the time. I have a couple of childhood 870’s that haven’t been touched in years. There’s a Citori in there that handles 3.5’s for the rare late season goose/crane shoots. Have thought about getting a SA 20 in past, but never really cared for any. Guess I can fire that back up; never really been a fan though. Have handled all the normal players (except the Ethos) over the years.
  4. HI-10 cabaret was good for that. Yes, HI-10.
  5. Sure. We’ll get right on that.
  6. Well, the pile of empty hulls wasn’t!! I’ve been downsizing over last few years but have had reoccuring issues in right shoulder for last 18 months, and that has sped it up. So I have to either learn to shoot left handed or work down. I have settled on a 28ga after borrowing one for some shoots last year. But haven’t found a way to sneak it past the wife…yet. Got a Rizzini sxs in mind. I have this old tomato stick .410 that an old friend used to keep in a barn for snakes. Ugly but it shoots pretty well. Been using it to teach the girls last few years. I used it last quail season and did ok. But 28 gets you a lot more pellets and shells are considerably cheaper.
  7. I’ve had probably ~5 pairs of the cheapos (2000’s) and close to a dozen classics thru the years (still have most). Not a single one belongs in any sentence with Justin. Are they worth $650? I’d rather have a pair of Beans than the lower end Luccheses. But without a single doubt, every single pair was better than any Justin, Ariat, and 80% of any Tony Lamas of last 20 years that I’ve worn. I can’t speak to Tecovas because lol.
  8. Also, lucchese are nice but people around here have soured on them it seems. I’m happy with the dozen or so pairs ive had over the years.
  9. Anderson Beans. Mid-quality/price. Mostly squared toe (comfortable on your toes)
  10. If you go with her, bring earplugs. Loudest fucking concert I've ever been to- 80k screaming females the entire time. And sit low deck/floor. We had some major Swiftie beef on our row and that bitch felt like Kroger field during Sandstorm. I made peace that I was going to die at a fucking Taylor Swift concert.
  11. Birds were sporadic, but plentiful where I set up. Ended up with 11. 7 whites, 4 mourning, 6 meelers. Shooting left plenty to be desired. Still trying to get this .410 figured out.
  12. Do what? Houston area is monthly or every third Friday or some shit like that. Thinking back now though, every single thing I’ve ever put on the curb (semi bulky or not) gets picked up.
  13. Yeah, there’s a half dozen plants there and both of the high schools suck relative ass (for today’s standards) and definitely don’t have great football facilities. Been awhile since I’ve driven by Brazoswood but Brazosport has had the same field/bleachers for at least the last 35 years. Not super surprising as all of Freeport sucks. Brazoswood had the same setup for at least 20+ years and likely still the same. The big $$ they spent was a freshman only center that went in around ‘98 iirc. Poor souls all get a huge head start on cancer and deal with buzzard sized mesquites and still don’t have fancy schools.
  14. What you mean by instructing at summer camp? I’ve got a nice left handed bow I would give away for nothing if using it for kids/scouts. I’m only 5 mins from goofy, but at the ranch this weekend. Sights, releases, whole 9.
  15. @cactusflinthead
  16. Oh I've got some work to do soon. Been too much real life going on this year to keep up proper. Tomorrow going to be a very full day. And it looks like I’ll be hauling the tractor down in next week or two to shred. But the beer is cold, birds were everywhere driving in, and I’m not in Houston. So winning.
  17. Godamn that’s a great gif. Have hundreds of negs here and you nailed it first. Well done
  18. Dunno but yes please to the one on the right.
  19. Appreciate these types of threads. A stark reminder there’s real people behind the username.
  20. I’m not doubting you, you did it. I just can’t fathom that.
  21. Seems like it would be fun to fuck with him about reading comprehension, but time seems to be short. Other than that, yeah he’s got the offer and balls in their court.
  22. Trucks packed. Headed south tomorrow with better Wx this time. Can’twait.gif
  23. You think his fund actually sends him checks?
