  1. Nope. Apparently a guy that lived a few doors down was over working on the water heater. Next door neighbor and another friend from down the street and his kid were all over at the house. 5 dead. One of the homeowners got blown out the back of the house into the yard. He’s the only only one that’s still alive, but in critical condition with burns on 80% of his body. Aftermath:

    Uniform Pron

PSU’s colors were pink and black from 1887-1890. The pink on the baseball teams uniforms faded too quickly so they changed to navy and white.
  4. Such a ridiculous decision right there.
  5. 58 is a total not a score relative to par. Tour scoring average on par 4s is 4.04. On par 5s it’s 4.64. Two par 4s is 8.08. Two par 5s is 9.28. The total score for a par 70 course would naturally be expected to be less than on a par 72. By your averages we’d expect the total for the par 72 to be 1.2 strokes higher and the average score to par 0.8 better.
  6. Are you saying that it’s harder to make a 3 on those two extra par 4s than it would be than if they were par 5s? Because that’s what it seems like you’re saying. Or is my sarcasm meter broken?
  7. Those are teams that are currently in the top 13 in 4-year composite recruiting rankings. I’m assuming, without checking, that USC, UF, FSU, and Auburn are currently outside of that mark.
  8. Doubt it’ll be of much use for anyone here, but Kevin Shields at Nevillewood country club just outside of Pittsburgh.
  9. They operate 737s out of that airport, just not fully loaded. Teams will just send equipment on a separate plane. USC, Arizona, Oregon state, sdsu have all managed to get there for football games before.
  10. The lessons are starting to pay off.
  11. Got picked again this year, 2nd time in 6 years. This time for Wednesday. Fucking stoked.
  12. LIV has consistently tried to operate as if there is some untapped market share of golf fans that aren’t middle aged white men. They are a handful of out of touch rich old guys and Saudi Arabians trying to create a golf league for their made up caricature of a golf fan when they asked themselves “if there was a 23 year old golf fan that didn’t like traditional golf tournaments, what would they like?” And then they came up with those ideas themselves and ran with it. It’s the “how do you do fellow kids” meme played out in real life. There isn’t a single thing that LIV does better than the pga tour at putting on a golf tournament. But because the players are getting paid obscene amounts of money, they act like it’s way better. And even if the process of playing in a LIV golf tournament IS better for the player, it doesn’t mean shit because as a business the players aren’t the customers. Bryson and Phil are the only two people that seem to have even bought into the idea of the team as a brand bullshit and they are two of the most out of touch characters on tour. And I’m not even sure Phil is doing anything other than playing the part because they handed him a dump truck full of cash. It’s such a clown show that I’ve wondered if it wasn’t devised specifically for this purpose of trying to do everything as different as possible from the pga tour, but as much talent as possible, and then draw it out as long as possible in court to try to get the pga tour to the negotiating table and see what we can get. That the Liv tour itself didn’t need to have any real viability or sustainability, it just served as a tool to get to the table. The only way that play works is if you have completely unlimited money because of the sums it would take to pry talent away from the tour. And the only people that could possibly do that is the Saudis because they are the only entity that has completely unlimited money.
  13. I love the look of cherry. What did you finish it with?
  14. They teed off super early to beat the rain. Then they showed the broadcast at the time it would have been on if they teed off normally.
  15. And at least at oakmont the fairways will be 15 yards wide, the Pennsylvania cabbage will be deep and juicy, and the greens will be rolling at a 15. I drove past this morning on my way to the poors course and they are doing a lot of work for ‘25 right now. They are adding bunkers to try to take away some of the playing up the wrong fairway that was happening at the US amateur.
  16. The next two opens are at pinehurst and oakmont. Huge properties will have massive crowds.
  17. Looks like there are some low numbers to be had out there today. Tom Kim went out in 29.
  18. They have been causing Rory & Brooks to wait constantly all fucking day. It’s been a beating following that featured group.
  19. My standard play to clear an area is to run in to pull a bunch of mobs, space bar out of the pack, tendrils, bone spear for vulnerable, and the pop off a bunch of corpse explosions
  20. Zero chance the winner isn’t starting the day under par. I’d be really surprised if it’s not one of the guys at -5 or -6. The early returns look like the course will be gettable. I think -8 gets you in a playoff -9 to win.
  21. I was thinking when they were talking about Bryson hitting 2 clubs less than brooks into one of the par 3s that Bryson’s clubs are likely so adjusted that the stamped number means nothing. That confirms it.
  22. Pretty common to turn a short par 5 into a long par 4 for the pga and us open. Oak hill is par 71 for the members, the short par 5 17th turns into 4 for 70 for championships.
