  1. Anti-mask anecdote from earlier today: Driving across PA today in the trumpiest of areas, a county trump won 72-23. I stop for gas and a piss. Inside I’m pleasantly surprised to see almost complete mask usage. This is a county with 95 total cases. One guy not wearing a mask inside. Not only that, but he’s eyeballing me like I’m the fucking weirdo. Classic little man, 5’6” at best in boots, looks like a typical bad apple cop, early 40s. Ends up in front of me in the checkout line. He’s buying two 16 oz cans of natural ice and a slim jim. “holy shit people actually drink that”. He leaves the store and gets into a beat up old minivan. As he pulls away, I already know what’s there before I see it. Trump 2020. No doubt Trump has that man’s interest top of mind. Truly the best people.
  2. I don’t have the exact source handy but I’ve read this on several local news sites. If you really need a source I’m sure some googling would turn it up. Allegheny county has like 1.3 million people. Around the time we moved to PA’s “green phase” (a terrible name considering what it would signal to the dumbs) we had a day with zero new cases. Today we had over 300. Contact tracing put the overwhelming majority of the new outbreak into bars and restaurants. That and out of state travel.
  3. Here’s to stinking of hickory smoke, bourbon, and freedom before 10am.
  4. Just so we all know how ridiculous a 2x bench is for everyone outside of surly.
  5. Well, I had a damn near perfect range session today so it’s a guarantee that I won’t have a single thing I can hit on the course tomorrow.
  6. Curious how much of that is due to increased testing. Looking at NYC likely having it rip through the city before anyone knew it was there and testing not coming in until only the worst cases were leaving their houses to get tested vs the current outbreaks being tested in real time.
  7. The big difference being that 65% of the California cases are all in LA and surrounding counties. The Texas outbreaks are spread all over the map
  8. I mean, if you’ve got some kind of lung or breathing condition where wearing a mask is unbearable, what the fuck are you doing going to the grocery store in the midst of a pandemic that will likely kill you if you catch it? None of my family has been inside a grocery store since mid March. How is this hard?
  9. One of the more disappointing things I’ve read recently was about how the big grocery store chain up here currently has 30 lawsuits filed against it by people who were forced to leave after refusing to wear a mask due to some health condition that makes wearing a mask difficult or “impossible”. Despite the chain offering curb side pickup. All 30 are represented by the same attorney. The masks clearly work. How has our populace become so stupid as to refuse to wear them “because muh freedoms”.
  10. The only real gripe I have is with the colorization of his phases. The current phase should have been yellow not green. It gives too many people the false impression that everything is a-ok and this is all behind us.
  11. Must be selling Trump water inside.
  12. The biggest difference is that the virus living on surfaces outdoors in sunlight is measured in seconds whereas indoors it’s measured in days.
  13. I saw a new one this weekend at Home Depot. I’ve been to HD a half a dozen times since early April. First time was before the statewide mask mandate (PA), and I saw two people in the store with a mask. After that it was 100% since you needed to be wearing one to get into the store. This past weekend, despite still needing to wear one to get in the store, I saw 5 people either holding their mask in their hand or taking it off and putting it in their cart.
  14. Completely agree. My good/bad determination was a poor choice of words. More just pointing out that those early northeast outbreak states had an initial explosion and then are now continuing a downward trajectory, while the current outbreak states had an initial bump and then fade and are now back into an upward trajectory. im still not sure what to make of the death rates in the current outbreak states other than to guess that those states are catching the outbreak in real time while the northeast outbreak testing was probably a month behind the initial surge of the outbreak and thus only caught a small percentage of actual infections.
  15. You still have the daily record at NY’s 11,661 from April 15th to shoot for.
  16. NY, NJ, MA, PA, IL all look at lot like those European graphs. At the other end of the spectrum, TX, CA, AZ, FL look bad even compared to the US chart.
  17. I know this isn’t surprising, but I don’t know why this isn’t being made into a huge fucking deal. You’re god damn right that it’s the tax payers money and most are perfectly happy with their $1200 and completely oblivious that $500,000,000,000 was delivered to people that needed it the least.
  18. I am a single data point in that green section. 36, college, white, male, suburb, independent, Pennsylvania. I am a big reason we’re stuck with what we are because I didn’t think bunker bitch had a chance to win. I don’t show up in polling because I don’t have a land line and I don’t answer calls from numbers I don’t recognize.
  19. His only play is to try to paint the left with the brush of illegals, criminals, abortionists, communists, etc. If you’re not in favor of giving the country to those groups, you have to vote for me. They’re going to take your guns, abort your babies, raise your taxes and give the money to illegal immigrants and gang members. If he tries to unite he loses his base. He has no choice but to try to make the left look worse than the right to pick up the white middle. It worked spectacularly in rural and suburban PA, MI, and WI. He took a group of people that weren’t entirely comfortable with the openness and inclusiveness of the 21st century and he gave them the comfort of good old fashioned racism. Im pretty optimistic that the suburbs are going to swing pretty hard against him this time around.
  20. He’s fucking my dog? Or his dog is fucking my dog? Or he’s fucking both dogs?
  21. Lost all faith I had in this website when that wasn’t the first reply.
  22. The pushback on any effort to slow a second wave will be peak idiocracy in times where it can’t seem like that could peak any higher. The dumbs have already convinced themselves that the first round was an overreaction and this is really no big deal.
