They are all for profit.Â
The difference between a Goldman Sachs owned EDMC (before its collapse and sale) and a top tier public research university couldn’t be more extreme.Â
but you knew that.Â

A huge part of the problem is for profit schools. The students on average borrow more while accounting for the majority of defaults.Â
they are predatory in nature, targeting minorities, low income, first generation college students, and ex-military. These are people that don’t have anyone to guide them. They get targeted by people pretending to have their best interest at heart, but all they care about is getting the loan signed.
The Obama admin was taking steps to kill the worst offenders, but Trump and Betsy Devos are doing their best to revive the industry.Â

Repubs have their plan for taking complete control over the Democratic Party. MSNBC and CNN were the beachhead. On to Bloomberg now.Â
Is that the same John Ziegler that made a documentary claiming Sandusky was a “chaste pedophile” and committed no sexual crimes?

I've been saying this to the Bernie haters for a YEAR now...
Y'all motherfuckers need to bone up on how Jane stole a college. That's the fresh stuff to throw at Bernardo.
And in the least surprising news of the day: the guy that was responsible for getting that investigation opened in 2016 was Trump’s Vermont campaign manager and ended up being given a job working for Barr at the DOJ.Â

So they want a smiling face who will calmly reassure them that everything is going to be fine in their newest safe space, instead of a fat orange retard telling them that things have never been better and we’re winning bigly again. Â
Meanwhile the rich keep getting richer, the poor stay poor, nothing really changes and they’re ok with that because it’s back to the kinder gentler team D in control of things.
As China’s plan to become the economic and technology center of the world comes to fruition while we crumble into idiocracy caring only about our team winning.Â

I can't figure out why Donald Trump hasn't done this yet. He'd win in a landslide.
Because a huge segment of his base is old white people and religious zealots.Â

Legalize weed and and put a federal sales tax on it.Â
-
Pay for part of it with a fat tax. No fee for under 25% body fat. Goes up from there. Can’t afford it? Go for a jog or drink 1 less pop a day.
would reduce the prevalence of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, mental health issues, and many many more, which in turn would reduce spending on chronic illnesses.Â

It will in Pennsylvania, and if Texas was in play it would here too.Â
Look, fracking sucks, but Houston would be Detroit right now without it. I would be alright with that as I am one of the freaks who longs for the empty, depressed Houston of the '80s Oil Bust, but I do not represent a large bloc of voters.Â
Â
I live in western PA. unless you’re personally gaining financially from fracking (which is a very low %), you’re either indifferent or negative towards fracking.Â
And even then, you’re talking about Uniontown, not Pittsburgh. Counties that trump won 65-35, at the closest. Short of trump turning black and replacing pence with a Muslim, there no hope for those counties.Â

Having been born and lived nearly the entirety of my life north of the Mason Dixon line, I don’t really get a say in it. But I can only assume the ones on the side of okra are the asshats.Â

I was in Philly two weeks ago and every commercial segment had at least one Bloomberg ad. Â No one else had any.
I live in Pittsburgh and for a while Steyer was the only one advertising here. And it seemed like every commercial break. Now it’s only Bloomberg.Â

This is exactly what I was asking about last night. I knew something wasn’t right.Â
It happened in one of the other places too. You could tell that both cnn anchors thought it was incorrect but weren’t positive in their knowledge of the process enough to challenge it.Â

Did Biden come in 5th? That would be one of the explanations if it were true
I expect that he came in a distant 4th at best, but more likely 5th based on what I saw last night. They were at very few locations where he had a viable 15% and many locations where he was behind Yang in the first count.Â

If this is true, I think everything past the first vote should be thrown out.
Â
Â
That happened at one of the caucuses that CNN was at. I think it was the one that Tapper covered. The Biden crowd was clearly not viable but in talking to them they explained that they were going to woo the people from the Klobuchar group, which was also not viable after the first count.Â

The English National Health Service employs 1.4 million people, many of them in admin. Note, that's England alone, not the UK.Â
Extrapolating from population totals, the American National Health System would employee over 8 million people.
But it’s not like those 8 million would still work in all of the local private insurance companies.Â

Depends if teleprompter. Â Trump struggling to read is worth the price of admissionÂ
My favorite is to read a direct transcript of trump speaking off the cuff. Seeing his mind flit between bits of thoughts without completing a single sentence for minutes at a time.Â

Finally got around to talking to one of my good friends that works at a health insurance company (in Pennsylvania) about the Democratic candidates. Had no idea where he stood on it going into the conversation.Â
he said he said he doesn’t talk about his support of sanders at work. Says people there pretend like it’s not even a possibility that he makes it to the White House.Â
said he’s donated to sanders and would welcome losing his good paying job if it meant Medicare for all.Â
plans to start looking for a new job of Bernie gets the dem nod just in case.Â
