  1. Edit-Late night SFO-DFW or the all nighter?
  2. I’m amazed they got 4 of those 787 screens to fit in a 737!
  3. I definitely see Beer as a tasty trade piece. Looks like he’s gonna be a big league hitter with not much a glove. And Alvarez is a better version of that. Really tough to have two of those on your 25.
  4. What we have here, is a failure to communicate.
  5. Blummer is awesome and seems to always be having a blast as color man. And I enjoy his trifle peccadillos!
  6. My DFW-SFO flight was cancelled last night and something stinks. The weather lasted roughly 1330-1500. The inbound flight landed at 1945, a full hour before the SFO flight was scheduled to depart. By the time my flight was cancelled, (2300) our aircraft had still not made it to the gate. Another aircraft was at our gate however. I’m thinking the mechanics dispute with AA is affecting their pushback abilities. This (lack of) effort has forced me to sit with the poors this evening. Anyone else notice something similar recently? And did some mention “good” and Heathrow in the same sentence. I transfer thru there occasionally and that process is one of the worlds biggest beatings.
  7. I’m convinced High Pitch and the roaches are the only creatures that will survive the coming nuclear winter.
  8. I seem to recall the Cards being deep into drafting college types when Lunhow was there. Could be wrong of course.
  9. These are the glory days my friends! Let’s just lay back and enjoy.
  10. You could always count on Dusty Baker to DESTROY his own pitching staff!
  11. I’m with you. There can’t be more than one handful of 7th inning guys that are better.
  12. I think I saw him earlier this season.
  13. I second that. Correa wasn’t exactly “Carlos Danger” after his back went out last year. Should have just got it right before returning.
  14. Let’s face it, Alvarez is not coming to Houston any earlier than the super-2 deadline (early June sometime.) Not because he’s not ready, but simply because we don’t need him. (As our record and team OPS prove.). Let’s let White try to work his way out of his funk and allow the Wizard try to get that proverbial bag of balls for him. (Or bundle him with a mired pitching prospect for one of those lotto tickets Lunhow is so good at finding.)
  15. Most Dallas folks are mindful that we live next door to the sun 3 months/year.
  16. Not for me. Bricktown puts OKC well ahead in my opinion. Of course Oak City is still a dump so I get you.
  17. I think the 767 has bulkier gear. And is also “certified” to land at max takeoff weight. I think the reason it has fuel dump is simply because it carries so much more fuel (160k vice 75k.) And with its much higher normal MLGW (326k vice 198k) dumping simply gives it a chance to land on more runways, at safer approach speeds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I don’t know about that. Dallas grew up in Tulsa and that town is a special kind of shitty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. For those of you that love Bosch on Amazon, (and I count myself as one,) do yourself a favor and read the books. Harry comes across as much more humorous and somehow even more surly. Connelly (a great Gator btw,) is a fantastic writer.
  20. I don’t know about that Russian airplane, but at least some western aircraft have fuel dump capabilities (the 757 does not, the 767 does.) And I think I recall that if you dump above 6,000’ the fuel will not reach the ground. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I appreciate the fact that this thread brought me to The Patriot. I’m only one episode in but it looks tremendous. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Smells of showcasing for a trade. Got to think he (and Reed, Kemp, White) are all gone for the preverbal bag of balls if offered. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Damn Slorch is a Disneyland Marine? I was 3rd Battalion at PI. (Where they couldn't hear you scream.) And we only needed 3 of those bad ass DI's. Years later in my zero life I was in a squadron next door to the the meanest of our drill instructors (a lowly LCPL at that.) He was now a Gunny and I was a Captain and there was no way in hell I was going to let him know I was within the same zip-code. Fucker gave me a scar on my hand that reminded me of him for 20 some odd years. But yea, I had it coming. Getting back on topic, the boot camp scenes were the closest any of the rest of you will ever get to the real thing. R. Lee was legit.
  24. Loved the movie. Watched the first season of the AP version and was not as impressed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Probably a carrot to teams (and the union) for going OOC. I'd imagine it would be a pitcher and one who is already on the 40-man.
