  1. Sweet and savory together? Oh my! Maybe next time I put an egg on my pancake (with syrup), I also have some sugared bacon to go with it.
  2. My brother ate PB&S on pancakes and waffles since he was a little kid.
  3. Have a question for all of you breakfast lovers. For many, many years, I have enjoyed putting runny-yolk eggs on top of my pancakes. Pancakes which have syrup and butter already applied. Combo of the cake, the sweetness, the yolk and slight bit of salt, ... mmmmm. I have a couple of friends who find this to be the most disgusting thing they have ever seen, which I don't understand. One made the statement that "only 1 in 100 people would eat that." So, I ask all of you, how do you find this to be? Disgusting, I would never eat that. Tried it, didn't like it. Never had it, but seems like it could be ok. I'd try it. Love it, do it all the time.
  4. It's easy. The Superbowl Number is always the same as my age. So just use that.
  5. Man, love those things. Funny(ish) story. We used to keep the containers and re-use them for dog food and dog treats. Buddy came to the house for happy hour, walked by, instinctively reached in and grabbed a handful of dog treats. Wasn't as happy as usual.
  6. I started this thread with the "English Muffin with Peanut Butter" entry. If that was my #1, then my #1a is the simple "Sunny Side Eggs with Sourdough Toast and Butter". Guess I'm just a simple breakfast guy. But, I would crush almost all of the things I've seen discussed so far. I love breakfast!
  7. Corollary: Don't have someone schedule a 7am meeting on a Monday morning, be the "boss" of all 20 people in the meeting, and then roll in 15 minutes late. Every time the poor meeting organizer says "well, let's get started", then when Mr. boss rolls in everything starts over anyway. I find myself raging at the poor person who was ordered to schedule the thing just as much as the person who let everyone waste 15 minutes at the crack of dawn on Monday.
  8. Not sure about air fryer, since have never tried. But absent that, reheating in a skillet (mentioned earlier) is an absolute game-changer. If it’s a bit thicker, a lid or foil will help heat all the toppings through, while the crust gets a GLORIOUS crisp on it. In MANY cases, I will do this with takeout pizza as soon as I get it home. Because it makes it that much better. (Holy F, just realized I have a black stone griddle. Could slap two or three WHOLE pies on there and give everyone the glory of the crispy crust.)
  9. The wife got me one of these for Christmas. VERY nice flask, but I didn't know it cost that much... Guess I'll be extra careful with it. Taking it on the hog hunt last weekend might have not have been the best decision (it did make it back unscathed).
  10. Simply make ANY start of a slide (even if you don't COMPLETE it) down at the point. Easy. Judgement calls will need to be made, like for any of a variety of other penalties. But egregious ones like this would be easily identified.
  11. Was there 4 years (started as true freshman). Extra COVID year, like all players.
  12. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb/former-nebraska-qb-adrian-martinez-is-reportedly-on-a-big-visit-today/ar-AARtoDE Dating someone at KSU as well. Has legs.
  13. Toast that crap and add peanut butter. Amazing.
  14. I also have the Rocky, and it's amazing. The thing is built like a tank. Have had it for 20+ years, and still works exactly like new. Quoted my own post, apparently I need coffee.
  15. I flew out of ABIA about two weeks ago and the precheck line at the middle security checkpoint was the longest I'd ever seen it, and it wasn't even close. Snaking down the railing about halfway to the north checkpoint. So, went to the north checkpoint and while it was still crowded, nowhere near as bad.
  16. Never really thought "douche", seems like a good guy. Really bothers me how much he talks with his mouth full and food almost falling out. Pet peeve, i guess.
  17. Applied to renew online the first day I was eligible. Approved next day.
  18. I'd generally agree, but it went amazingly well with the decor of the room when it was a playroom for 4 kids all under 8. It will be replaced.
  19. A real hardcore vibe is what I was after.
  20. Had some of the smaller plates (2.5, 5, 10, 25) already. Rest was done over time, and augmented by borrowing some plates and a bar from our office gym (which was closed down for most of the time). Now have acquired enough not to need them.
  21. To be fair, the youngest is now a junior in HS, so the playroom was wasted space.
  22. In the small town my Mom grew up in, there was a soft serve place called "Dairy Creme". Confused the hell out of me when I was 6.
  23. Home gym in former kids' playroom. Wife dropped membership elsewhere so will pay for itself ... eventually.

    Getting old sucks

My first vehicle was this 1964 F-100, 223 straight six, 3 on the tree, dual exhausts and glass packs. Really loud, but REALLY slow. Modified to run on propane (dad worked for natural gas company that had a program to modify vehicles. Also he didn't like the gas tank literally in the cab behind the seat.) Traded that for a 1972 Bronco. Still wish I had both of them.
  25. This right here! Missile Command was a close second for me.
