  1. CSB time. The chinook unit I was in at Bragg flew some birds down to Honduras after hurricane mitch back in the late 90s. Humanitarian mission, ferrying supplies all over, that sort of thing. Soto Cano was the hub for everything, international supplies were flown in, seabees and other engineering units staged there before heading out to repair and build shit. We parked our birds on the old part of the base because there was no room for us anywhere else, which happened to be where Ollie North used to work out of. (CSB inside a CSB). There was also a tiny little slice element of a psyops unit that showed up. They were there to capture raw human suffering to use in interrogations. Women screaming over their dead babies, kids wailing without parents, the whole nine. The people that do that work are... special.
  2. I think the FBI is about to get a pretty substantial emergency budget dump when Biden comes into office. Time to clean house.
  3. Germany should also have been nicer to the nazi movement post WW2 because echo chambers are way worse than everyone being heard.
  4. I thought that was the one that got blown up in Tennessee?
  5. Gov't laptops have mandatory data-at-rest policies in place, so they now own a sweet laptop with a hard drive they will never get into.
  6. I’m sure the WiFi records in the building are also being gathered to match up MAC addresses that were broadcast. Should be able to show some level of location by which APs the phone touched.
  7. Declare war on who? Trump? Republicans? In the words of our new President, C’mon man. Pelosi is being deliberate, she hasn’t suggested anywhere that she won’t bring the articles forward, she’s just trying to get Trump to cut his own throat and resign, or have Pence 25th him because both are quicker and a more likely way to have him removed from office. Impeachment will pass the house, and it will more than likely die in the senate. That doesn’t mean the dems shouldn’t do it, but if the goal is to remove shitface from office, the first two are the only real paths to complete that goal.
  8. CNN reporting they arrested Bigo, the guy that sat in Pelosi’s office, left a threatening note, and stole some of her mail. They also arrested someone that parked a truck full of Molotov cocktails, two handguns, an M4, and components for a napalm type substance right outside the capitol.
  9. That’s the fucking B team. I’m familiar with the guys they used during impeachment. They will stand on the smallest of errors as evidence of the entire process being a sham. It would be great if they had to argue the merits of the case more than procedural bullshit. I believe the dems will bring impeachment to the house. After that the senate will run out the clock.
  10. I think it’s more likely that Pelosi is trying to get Trump to resign because the most expedient method. They also need time to draft the articles and do some hasty form of review before putting it in front of the house for vote. You know the president’s lawyers will be looking for any undotted i to challenge.
  11. There is a wide gulf between what most of the idiots that stormed the capitol believe and understand of the law, and what the NG will. That doesn't mean it will impede someone that's decided to go full jihad suicide bomber, but when you're a guy standing on the line with a gun, and you've got guys left, right, and behind you that also have guns, the calculus is a little different. Hasan killed a lot of people at Fort Hood, but he did it by being the only armed guy in the room. The NG guys aren't hard by any means, they are weekend warriors. Even if some are truly radicalized and decide to go out in a blaze of glory, they will still have a hard go of it. None of them will have any access to Biden or Kamala, even with a long gun. They will probably be forward facing outside the police line, and certainly outside the SS bubble. It wont stop them from indiscriminate spraying of the crowd, but there is little to no chance they even get a LOS to the seated audience. The SS is running the inauguration, not the capitol police. Many in the MAGA crowd still truly believe they did nothing wrong, or that they wont face serious charges. The military has a different rule book, and like I said, if someone decides to pop off, its a suicide pact. I haven't seen anyone in MAGA show that mindset yet, the ones that stormed the capitol didn't do it guns drawn. Not dismissing their intentions, but a chickenshit in the crowd that pops off some rounds at a door is much different than a uniformed soldier turning on their oath, service members, and country.
  12. There are absolutely Trumpkins in the military. I have high confidence they would hold their nose and do their jobs if ordered to. The penalties for treason for people in uniform is severe to say the least. Taking up arms against the government (levying war against the government), or disobeying orders to defend it (giving aid or comfort to the government’s enemies), would qualify as treason IMO. They would be reminded of that before they got on the truck.
  13. There's definitely legs to that. This guy has been flying a giant trump flag in Killeen forever, even after dropping a racist screed on facebook and getting hammered for it. https://www.kcentv.com/article/news/local/owner-of-killeen-property-management-company-apologizes-for-racist-facebook-post/500-541921d0-b74e-42bc-b845-c85a8140ca33#:~:text=KILLEEN%2C Texas — Jim Wright%2C,that contained several racial slurs.
  14. Yea, if you’re going to have an unsecure interior, the exterior plan better be fucking nails. Some of the exterior doors had some pretty significant protection (metals doors, bulletproof glass), but who fucking cares if someone can just walk up to a window a couple feet away and bust through it with whatever is laying around. They should at least have some remote blast doors in some non public areas that they can rally to and protect the members.
  15. That crash back to reality tho... EDIT: This fookin guy.
  16. Agreed, that's why I think the legislative is probably the best avenue. Give that presiding justice some more power. Let them approve the proceedings instead of leaving it up to the fucking majority leader that's in the same damn party as the president being impeached. Find a way to disqualify senators that are obvious allies or co-conspirators for that president. Something.
  17. The 25th does what it was written for, medical incapacity. Up until now, the idea of having to have an alternative to impeachment was pretty sketchy. It still is honestly, congress is supposed to be the check on executive overreach and abuse. We need better mechanisms in place to force congress to do its job. At a minimum, maybe give the legislative branch a similar option, or include them in the impeachment process somehow as a foil to partisan fuckery. Id trust a partisan judge over someone like Ted fucking Cruz any day of the week.
  18. John Bolton of all people just raised a point I havent heard until now. The 25th will not be effective because the second Trump gets wind of it he can fire the cabinet members and nullify their signatures on the letter. Its entirely built to be able to transition power away from an incapacitated president (coma, ICU, etc) to the VP. Impeachment is the only viable path to get rid of Trump.
  19. Trumpkins refusal to wear masks to own the libs is going to lead to a bunch of them being arrested because their dumb faces were caught on film while committing acts of terror. Its almost too dumb to believe.
  20. It also provides convenient cover for obfuscating who the perpetrators were. If they bottled up, arrested, and validated that this was 99% driven by MAGAts and Q tards, it destroys any potential excuse that Antifa were the real problem. It’s another failure that conveniently supports the coup.
  21. Fuck man, they were already solidified behind that line last night. Gaetz said this shit while the capitol police were still pushing the insurrection away from the steps of the capitol and got a standing fucking ovation. We need to stop thinking the lies are intended for anyone but the echo chamber. It doesn’t matter how implausible or bold the lies are, the people they are intended for will believe them lock, stock and barrel. It’s a huge problem with no easy answers.
