  1. Anyone taking up arms to support a civil war is likely an ideologue. They think by supporting the "right" side, they will come out of this on the other end with an award of some kind from Trump and company. You cant apply rational thinking to irrational people.
  2. Very likely. I wish Richards would have started to get more significant playing time. Hopefully he does in the final group game since it’s absolutely meaningless for Bayern.
  3. Bayern played an absolute B team squad for 70 minutes and looks like they are still going to manage to take a point against Atletico.
  4. I’m more worried about local law enforcement going rogue than any militia nerds. That makes locals have to make a tougher choice on following along. It’s easier to ignore gun nerds in cosplay gear. Law enforcement backing it gives it an air of feasibility, and will amplify any resistance a lot more than seal team snacks.
  5. I didn’t realize this was even a thing. Being elected president is a free pass to everything classified. You bypass all the normal background checks and need to know requirements that anyone else would receive. It’s understandable due to the requirements of the position, but it’s also a huge oversight by our government not to codify a lot of the gentlemen’s agreements and norms on running for office that have been honored until now. Would people elect someone that’s potentially compromised by the Russians? I don’t think so, but Trump found the loopholes and exploited them. This is another such loophole. At the very least, a former president shouldn’t have the privilege of an automatic pass for a clearance. They should have the same scrutiny for anyone else seeking a TS-SCI, and also have a valid need to know for that info before getting access.
  6. I know trying to understand crazy is futile, but how does shit like that not set off even some alarm bells? How does the US declare martial law outside of its own border? How would we have jurisdiction to make global arrests? I know jingoism is in fashion, but how do they not understand basic sovereignty?
  7. Our top general, also the first guy in line between the military and Trump’s appointed boot-licker. https://www.defense.gov/Our-Story/Biographies/Biography/Article/614392/general-mark-a-milley/
  8. The Esper thing is purely Trump shitting on him because of his stance on the insurrection act. No one thinks highly of it in the pentagon, and replacing him with a boot licker doesn’t help either. The Bible incident was a line in the sand for many. Guys like Pompeo, Barr, etc had no problem crossing it. Milley recoiled from it, and Esper had his eyes opened by the reaction down the chain.

If they won’t allow you to fill the seats by numbers, do it by volume.

Block F is indeed the best.
  11. Wasn’t just that. Milley has been completely out on trump since the Bible stunt he got sucked into. The troop withdrawal just to hit a number instead of being thought out to protect the guys left on the ground isn’t popular among green-suiters. Purging Esper for doing the eight thing also doesn’t settle well with career military people.
  12. He doesn’t have military juice, even with his toadie SECDEF.
  13. Yea, my aunt is about to turn 67. I had my mom get some local contacts from her so we can do some checkups if she doesn’t answer the phone. So far she just feels shitty, congested head. She said if she feels anything fucking with her lungs/breathing she’s heading to the hospital.

His blocking has improved, it he’s still a little lean for an every down TE. In an open offense that relies more on spreading teams out he will be a monster.
  15. First direct relative tested positive for me. An aunt in Washington state. She’s a FEMA volunteer and has been helping with COVID testing sites. Strictly logistical/paperwork stuff, nothing directly involved with testing or sick people. She’s careful, masks up everywhere, avoids everything non essential. This virus sucks.

I don’t see any way Grantham keeps his job at the end of the season. Mullen is fed up, lots of talent playing absolutely shitty ball. Guys can’t line up presnap, look lost in coverage, and can’t tackle for shit.
  17. It’s going to be awesome when a reporter asks trump if he knew about this and he says something like “yea, we not only knew, we helped our Israeli friends do it.”
  18. Yea, a positive COVID test is why he's not going.
  19. Not here in Killeen / Bell County. Every time I go to Lowes or HD, there is always a handful of people not wearing them. I don't mean the half-ass exposed nose or chin diaper bullshit ,which is an even bigger number, I mean people with no masks anywhere on their person. The stores have given up fighting it, or the cops told them to stop calling about it I guess. Plenty of olds and fats in those groups of no or partial masks too.
  20. Again, I think they were counting on the very narrow argument that the extra 3 days Pennsylvania tacked on for mail-in ballots could be something they could get the Courts to throw out. Biden winning without needing those additional ballots blew that strategy up.
  21. I think they had a more narrow plan that blew up in their face when they lost Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada. The USPS shenanigans were probably a bigger part of the plan and they counted on more of those being suppressed or arriving late enough to challenge. They ultimately thought it would all come down to Pennsylvania and their late change to the acceptance date would be something they could carry to the SC, which is why it was so important to seat ACB.
  22. I think the freezer trucks and NG handling mortuary affairs makes it a mass casualty event.
  23. Funny anectdotal evidence, Colorado Springs is the only place Ive ever seen where a krispy kreme bakery went out of business. This literally comparing apples to oranges wrt demographics, comorbidities, etc. And population density matters. Thats 720k is spread over 2130 sq miles. El Paso (Texas) has close to 700k people in 260 sq miles.
  24. Man I was sitting here totally bottled that their dashboard could be that far off from reported numbers. I know some places fudge numbers one way or another with how they interpret death certificates and such, but 250 total deaths for a place that's rolling in mobile morgues, using prisoner labor to help carry bodies, and bringing in the NG to help process bodies because they need help just didn't make sense.
