  1. I wouldnt have any concerns about fed troops being used domestically, even with Esper getting canned. The reason Esper had to step out and denounce the use of the insurrection act was the blowback he was getting from down the chain. There is zero chance that leaders would follow unlawful orders from a guy put in the seat for 2 months. I specified fed troops for a reason, there is greater than zero chance that NG troops get called up in response to unrest.
  2. I have an aunt and a couple of cousins that live near Savannah. Going to need to send them some alcohol to get through January. She was already bitching about the ads before Nov 3rd.
  3. See thats the problem with the country right now. I know a guy that lives in Ohio. He has seen the reason why Trump has another 4 yrs. Most of y'all look down on the people he lives with. You make fun of them. You say they're a cult. Nope. They're Americans. You have liberals and democrats voting for Trump.
  4. Its a shame the Chapelle show isn't around to do an update on "when keeping it real goes wrong."
  5. I don't think there is a significant deployment from Bragg right now. 2300ish in Syria/Iraq. 26th MEU just returned from deployment in July to Camp Lejeune. Absentee also includes civil service and other people living/working abroad, but I doubt it exceeds half the outstanding ballots, so maybe 50k as a WAG?
  6. New legal strategy: demand a revote based on the vaccine news. Point to FN poll that says they would have changed their vote if they knew the vaccine was coming.
  7. Lower levels of government have a much easier time ignoring the minority opinions in a community. A town of 10000 can easily ignore the LGBTQ rights of a handful of their residents. A predominantly christian town can easily ignore the rights of a handful of muslims. A predominantly white town can easily ignore the problems of a handful of POC. As you move up in levels of government, you increase the chances of minority opinions being on equal footing. That's why you need state policy checking locals, and federal policy checking states. The GOP sweeping all three branches of the government is exactly what I'm describing, its a narrow set of ideas in charge of all policy. That's generally what local politics is.
  8. Not gonna give fox too much credit. They probably assumed the mail in votes would be overwhelming for Biden like the other states instead of understanding the extra dynamics in play there.
  9. That always sounds good until you find out power at state and local levels really means “we don’t want the fed prohibiting us from stomping on LGBTQ rights, creeping religious education into public schools, etc.” Government is government, the only thing skewing to local does is reduce the amount of eyes on any bullshit they are pulling.
  10. I think he’s going to get a pardon no matter what, wether it’s through Biden or resigning and having Pence do it. He’s going to get drilled at the state level anyway.

Trask is special. He’s Rex Grossman without the ego and shitty work ethic.
  13. Why would CNN or MSNBC be scared of being a target of a lame duck president? They antagonize him regularly, and have been even more direct during this election cycle. Cooper called him a fat turtle flopping on his back ffs.
  14. Yea, I’m starting to believe the ratings excuse to drag this shit out. Pennsylvania is in the bag, this is no longer extra caution.
  15. Its mind boggling how far and fast republicans have moved away from this in such a relatively short period of time.
  16. I guess this is the R play, get a bunch of B listers to try to force the DoJ/Barr into action? Barr must have stopped taking calls from Don lol
  17. I think we need a dedicated thread to all the legal dunking thats coming for these bullshit lawsuits surrounding the election.
