  1. Call me crazy but I think that's a malamute mix not a husky. I had a Malamute - it's something about the face. Good looking mutt, hope you find a home for her.
  2. I'm not sure what you mean by 4 would be tight, are you using the Kamado regardless? Sorry it has been a long week. In your situation I would personally 100% put them on Saturday night probably around 8 or 9 to be safe assuming 8-10 lbs each. I would cook at 230-275 and plan on them being done in 10-12 hours, max. I would drink heavily if I were 10 years younger and sleep well. Wrap when done in the morning and pull before leaving or serving. If you only smoke them for 5-6 hours and then put in an oven at 170 they won't get done. If you do that put them in the oven at 200. They will not dry out or get over done.
  3. Also fwiw I like wrapping them in 2x HD foil for awhile and a towel so they continue to cook. By the time you unwrap, do that into a foil pan and you will have a good amount of juice. I understand you don't want to pull onsite but in your situation I might plan to have them "done" on the smoker about 4-6 hours before I was going to pull them. But honestly those things are so hard to fuck up you're going to be good to go.
  4. What are you cooking on? Something you have to tend all night? Even on my trailer I think I would just start them the night before and I would have a spare charcoal basket ready to swap out in the middle of the night when my initial fuel burns out and temps dip below 200.
  5. When I was in HS I drove a POS 89 Sunbird. There was a main road on the route to school with a posted 25 mph speed limit that was notorious for hiding cops, radar guns at the ready. We were always very careful not to speed there. One day on the way home a woman was tailgating me. She was probably mid 20s, I could see that intense resting bitch face look on her face in the rear view mirror. At some point I just lost my temper and slammed on the brakes. She plowed right into my bumper. I wasn't sure what to do so I just started back up driving. The look on her face and her hand motions in the rear view mirror was absolutely priceless and I will chuckle about it until the day I die. I didn't care if there was any damage to my bumper, but there wasn't a scratch.
  6. Fuck threads and their bullshit timeline and sponsored posts. IGs feed algorithms suck. Also fuck their spying. Lesser of two evils maybe but I'm not signing up. Anyone have a Blue Sky invite?
  7. If they could do it indoors during Covid with the counters wearing hazmat suits a little lightning should be a breeze.
  8. Men's contest cancelled. I better get my wagers refunded FanDuel.
  9. Killing third party APIs almost had me out. Until I discovered tweetdeck. Price is right horn. Someone hurry up and invent something usable.
  10. Then again sometimes those cleaning fees are necessary. Here is the bedroom my 13 year old slept in on Sunday morning at our house rental in Gatlinburg after gorging on pizza and Waffle House all weekend. Do not click. I warned you.
  11. Same. Always use them or VRBO unless I'm traveling solo for work. In general fuck hotels. I have discovered that with a little bit of creative googling you can often times locate the property management company's website and book through them for cheaper and better perks (access to clubhouse, pool etc). Be careful, though. Sometimes the property management company's cancellation policy can be more restrictive.
  12. I have not but it is my dream to one day attend. Joey Chestnut is a great patriot and hero.
  13. I can't believe what just happened. Out of a fucking Seinfeld episode or something. I took my son and my nephews to Gatlinburg. Our rental is on the side of a mountain. Extremely steep. My nephew (16) has some kind of toe infection. My sister has been on me like no other about making sure he takes his script antibiotics 3x per day. I was texting her some pictures, she asked of course about the meds. I reminded him to take his last dose of the day. They are in the hot tub. The hot tub is located on the "ground" floor on the patio. I am in the kitchen and living room above. There is a patio on this level. It's maybe 9 feet from the balcony railing to where he is. He says drop it to me. I survey the situation. The hot tub is enclosed on 3 sides with floor to patio above patio slats. The open side/entry of the hot tub is not exposed to any area with a regular/low railing for 2 feet. I decided I could put the meds in a Ziploc in case he dropped it and it would float and be fine. I dropped it. Right into his hands. In the hot tub. Bounced off of his hands, and 5 feet diagonally to the left, over the railing and down the mountain. It has been an hour and I am still in disbelief. Photos from earlier for reference. Un fucking real. The photos could not illustrate how unlikely this was any better.
  14. +1 on Chong Li but no love for Tong Po??? Also where is @Brad Wesley
  15. Opened this thread and it landed on this post by Mr. Smarty Pants who now checks his driveway with a magnetic sweeper every time a contractor leaves and is $440 poorer.
  16. Dan Flashes himself spotted at the airport retrieving his luggage. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CttsURJthbo/?igshid=MTc4MmM1YmI2Ng==
  17. Zepol I don't think we have any dermatologists here. Carry on with my Cantharone + torture.
  18. Finished it last night, little sad to be done with it. I saw a description somewhere that it was the perfect blend of sweet and stupid. I think that's a good summary. It seems like it is getting a lot of love so that probably bodes well for there being a Season 2.
  19. Please shoot me a PM if so. Thanks. Disclaimer: does not involve a shirtless photo of my boss and a mole
  20. Spoken like someone who has never had Cinnamon Twists dipped in Reduced-fat sour cream mixed with Diablo sauce.
  21. There's a local-ish Mexican place that serves a secret 'martajada' salsa that I fell in love with a few years ago. I spent months trying to perfect it and got pretty close. It's a little bit sour, relies heavily on tomatillos. And of course I made mine much hotter. Very good stuff. Here's the recipe: About 6 roma tomatoes Tomatillos (you want the volume of the romas:tomatillos to be about 2.5:1 or 3:1) About 1/4 of a big ass red onion A couple of small garlic cloves (or one big one) 2-4 serrano peppers (depending on how much heat you like) 1/2 - 1 orange habanero (depending on how much heat you like) 1 lime Salt Grill all of it, but the lime and the salt. Get it black. Get it to the point where you will be able to smash it without a blender. mortar and pestle. Add juice of lime. Add about 1 tbsp of salt. Or less or more. Stir. Pour in blender. Pulse. Just 2-3x. Don't want it too thin. Pour in bowl/pitcher. Chill for a few hours. Mix.
  22. Watching a little each night. Little Buff Boys and Dan Flashes had me cracking up.
  23. It's so cringe. I didn't think the proposal garden/wrestling landed at all. But what really bothers me is the stupid endings. Like some of them really hit and are funny and then they just go wild to end the sketch. I thought the guy that talks about his kids too much one was hilarious but then the veer to end it with TR's kid killing a gorilla.
