  1. @mdmost I'm starting to get some anxiety because I haven't had any time to plan. Park day is going to be 26th, 27th or 28th. Leaning towards the 28th as the crowd calendars seem to indicate that would be the lightest. We will get there for rope drop, and I will happily purchase the lightning lanes. I'm undecided on park hopper. Looking at your list, here are the attractions at DL I think we will want to hit. Any advice on what to prioritize? You still think we can get through all of this and park hop to CA? Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye (uses same ride system as DINOSAUR at AK) Snow White's Enchanted Wish Pinocchio's Daring Journey Mister Toad's Wild Ride Alice in Wonderland Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage The Matterhorn (note this uses the same ride system as Space Mountain at MK) Space Mountain (same theme but completely different ride) Enchanted Tiki Room - longer show Pirates of the Caribbean - longer with more show scenes Big Thunder Mountain - some additional effects and scenery Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters - removable laser blasters make it a little better Peter Pan's Flight - technically some minor differences Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway - The queue is very different and cool - may be new to you and is worth it if so.
  2. Chiming in on the weather in my corner of the Great Lakes (SE MI). Winters are indeed getting milder, seemingly. I love having 4 seasons, and there is nothing better than summer and fall imo in this type of weather leading into Thanksgiving and the Holidays. It just feels right. I don't mind winter, even. January. it's fun sometimes. February starts to suck because there's not a whole lot going on. But what really sucks imo is March and April. The weather doesn't turn the corner here until May consistently. It is really annoying to have 60 and 70 degree days in early-mid March and some sun, thinking Spring is here and then you get another 6 weeks of gloom and days in the low 40s. Politically I would like to hope we are in the clear and should remain solidly blue but we shall see come November. All of that said, having spent quite a bit of time there, I would take this weather 100% of the time over Phoenix/Scottsdale. My 15 year old on the other hand is already angling to try to attend ASU. To each their own, I suppose.
  3. If someone takes Ja's guns away, I could easily be talked into taking the over for the Grizz.
  4. Joining Dylan and Peach Pit Nat beyond the pearly gates. RIP Brenda. I'll assume Andrea Zuckerman will be next since she was 62 when the show was filmed.
  5. The aquarium in Tampa is pretty ok and I hear there's a big cat sanctuary in town if that's your thing. Just don't piss off the owner.
  6. France and Germany are live right now on nba.com or the NBA app
  7. Good update. The last of the victims of the Rochester Hills, MI splash pad shooting has been released. Not a ton of details about the scale of the injuries but at least this episode will not lead to any casualties. https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/oakland/2024/07/05/last-victim-in-rochester-hills-splash-pad-shooting-sent-home/74314055007/
  8. But it was, wasn't it? And the best part of that was by far the music imo.
  9. Yeah I'm a guy that loves bad movies. I enjoyed watching it but it was really bad. It was kind of like they thought the same type of one liners that were hilarious when Murphy said them on screen in the 80s were still cutting edge comedy. They're barely jabs today. I mean we thought a furry alien that ate cats and said stuff like Yo was comedic art in the 80s. Times have changed. Rosewood somehow managed to look worse and be more wooden and laconic than Taggart. And the dude who played Abbott...I mean he's normally a decent actor, isn't he?? Even he was not good. On my scale Marked For Death is a 9, and I give it a 4. But you're damn right I will watch the next one.
  10. @Deej resting with the snuggle puppy. Amazon is something else. Not sure I'm ready to leave it in there unsupervised just yet. Successful night. No crate accidents. Hoping we are getting into the groove and night 1 was an aberration. No issues with it sounding like Gaza outside during bathroom breaks, either.
  11. Eh what can it hurt. Sold. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks. 18 lbs 13 oz at weigh in. I don't know what I was expecting but not that. I had myself convinced earlier she probably had some pit mix in her and would top out around 65 lbs.
  12. Just did a quick search on Amazon and Google. They look very... plush. I suspect she would tear that thing to shreds in there. I don't see any tough/durable options unless anyone knows of one?
  13. Just got back from vet appt. She thinks doggo was just freaked out. She has been much better since. No accidents and I've been diligent about crate -> outside. I got some rest in two hour spurts. She cries a bit after I crate her but then calms down and goes to sleep until she sees or hears me. Vet also told me to scrap the 3x feeding schedule with the 10 pm feeding. Definitely. I did also move the crate divider in a bit last night which couldn't have hurt. 🤞 for tonight.
  14. The crate is partitioned to be small. She does not care. She pissed in it again after having lots of opportunity to go outside and not doing so. She was just stirring so I took her out and cleaned the crate. Nothing. Back in the crate and she shit again in there. Cleaned it out and back into the crate. Sucks but at this point I think I have to make her power through. I can't really leave her loose because not only will she continue to go to the bathroom but she will also chew and get into other trouble. I'm not sure how she has anything left inside her belly at this point. Last drink was about 4 hours ago and she's peed 3x since, twice on the carpet and once in the crate.
  15. It's not going very well with the crate and potty training. Pooped in the crate in protest and got it smeared everywhere. She has no clue I don't think that she shouldn't want to shit where she sleeps/eats and should not want to step in it. Refused to go outside. I'm doing the right things but she is coming from a situation where she was in a pen with her litter mates big chunks of the day and night with pee pads and she probably went wherever and whenever she wanted. I can't leave her alone and I'm home by myself for the next 4-5 days. I don't want to reinforce bad behavior but I guess we're sleeping in the penned off family room tonight.
  16. Brought Trixie home today. @Jameslaw121 Looks sorta similar to your pooch. Any idea what breed?
  17. Wow the memes were right.
  18. I'm getting a dog yall! So excited. I got my last pup in '05, passed away in '16 and have been too busy to breathe since. I have questions. She is 8 weeks old at current, I'll be bringing her home next week. Mixed breed, mom is an Anatolian, pops a mastiff. Rescue. She is going to be a big girl. Crate train? Should I get a big ass crate or start with a smaller one and then upsize later? Food? Do I want to do something like Hello Fresh? I do not want to make my own unless it's super easy.
  19. The question was something about the perception of his hiring/the hiring process from the outside world. I like JJ, and while I don't really like the Lakers I am rooting for him to succeed. He's a pretty bright dude and I wouldn't put it past him to figure things out pretty quickly. He's not going to win a championship with that roster as it is currently constructed, though, that is for sure.
  20. The AI summary 😂😂
  21. The pistons are having a press conference to introduce Langdon as their PBO. It was scheduled to start at 3:30 EST. It is now 4:20 and it has not started. Very on brand.
  22. Don't forget Lindsey Hunter - he was going to be the next Zeke!
  23. Based on my eye test (and I'm barely paying attention - gotta be smoking something to watch this team), I would agree. However, James Edwards of the Athletic has said repeatedly that the Pistons get calls all of the time about trying to pry him free due to his defensive ability and versatility. He would be coming off of the bench on a decent team for sure.
  24. I don't know where I land on the Monty stuff to be honest. I'm local but not sure I really care about the current iteration of the Pistons. I understand that he was trying to set a culture by playing Hayes over Ivey last year (Hayes could defend, Ivey chooses not to) but if that was a problem that points to same page-ness with the front office. They have been historically unlucky with the lottery, and they have drafted atrociously. I think Cade can still be a centerpiece, and I like Thompson. I think Fontecchio is a solid fit and I think Beef Stew can be a really valuable contributer if he can tick his 3P% up just a bit next year.
  25. I wouldn't want to cut it, either. Beautiful piece of furniture.
