  3. What is the TLDR on how Mike claims they stole his stories from him
  4. I like your team. I think Cook has the potential to be RB1 this year if healthy. 15 goal line carries last year for Dalvin and only 3 Rushing TDs on them. That should flip.
  5. Appreciate the back and forth, sincerely. You are helping me think through everything, even though I'm sure it's not much fun for everyone else! With our league's scoring plugged in and all keepers ranked, FPros has Kamara as RB10, SB as RB11 and Javonte as RB13. With keepers factored in and salary cap values assigned by FPros they have them as Available RB3 for Kamara ($45), RB5 for SB ($43) and RB7 for Javonte ($34). I have Kamara's value pegged at right around 39 or 40 based on where I rank him. I could have kept him for 40 but I'm electing not to even though I am guessing he will go for upper 40s. I have Barkley's value right around 45 and I might be willing to spend a bit more. Javonte is a guy that it is going to take a swing to draft in this league (and I'm starting to think most leagues). I'm certain of that. He is a player that multiple teams will be looking at to target while his overall FF value is on the upswing if you buy into the thinking that he's going to bust out this year and be a top 5 pick next year. I do, personally. I know about the timeshare, I had Gordon last year. I think it's going to be more like a 60/40 or even 65/35 split this year and I think he's good enough with that offense to put up a monster year. He catches passes, too. Just how big of a swing though? I haven't decided. In the past if I had decided he was my guy I'd ride or die, 60, 65 whatever it takes. I've shifted my philosophy but will still go above market on a few players that I think will out perform projections.
  6. Mostly on board with you. Guy with Saquon and Kelce has already told us he's keeping one of them just not sure who. I can guarandamntee that Saquon, Kamara and Javonte Williams will go on the market for more than they could be kept for but that doesn't mean that there's value there.
  7. It's a one player keeper league. Your first year keeping a player costs you 35/200 and every additional year the player is kept that increases by $5. So for example the team that had Ekeler, Chase and Jefferson last year kept Ekeler last year for a second time at a cost of $40. This year he would cost $45 to keep. Yet they drafted Chase and Jefferson last year so instead of keeping AE they likely will save the $10 and opt to keep Jefferson or Chase for $35. At least I would.
  8. Depends on the year and the player. With our keeper rule, it's rare for the top tier RBs to be on the market but yeah they will press 70 sometimes. Davante Adams went for 70 last year. Hell one year I drafted Priest Holmes at I believe 92. Obv the year he got hurt and b/c of the draft capital I couldn't afford to draft LJ. This is what the data looks like. Past 5 numbers are skewed for Top 10 RBs and Top 3ish WRs b/c I didn't pull out the keeper data. 9. LOVE Etienne. I watched the Jags this weekend. He is explosive AF and also has great vision, broke more tackles than I expected, as well. I think Jax will be much much better on offense. I think there is a fantasy relevant role for both TEJ and Robinson. I also think Christian Kirk and Trevor Lawrence are going to be relevant. I have now compiled 10 years of historical auction data for my league. I have compared average positional draft value of 10 year historical and 5 year historical with recommended max bids on Fantasy Pros. I think I'm more prepared for this draft than I ever have been in the past, and I get the sense I'm going to be able to get good positional value on a lot of the guys I like that I mentioned upthread. Of course, these things get wild and while I plan to hunt value I can't be a shrinking violet, either. In our league no one backs down. If you back down you find yourself with $160 left and the best players left on the board are Cordarelle Patterson and Marlon Mack. Legend has it that a few years before I joined (and I've been in it for 18 years) Jason Hanson once went for $31. The biggest questions now are who is going to get kept. What would you do? Starting pool of $200. PPR + 10 pt TD. Team 1: Javonte (35), Chubb (40), AJ Brown (35) or no one Team 2: Saquon (40) or Kelce (35) or no one Edit to add - Owner has bad history with Saquon Team 3: Ekeler (45) or Jefferson (35) or Chase (35) or no one (and no they didn't win the league least year!) Team 4: Jones (35) or Cook (40) or no one Team 5: CMC (45) or DaVante Adams (35) or no one Edit to add - Owner has bad 2 year history with CMC
  10. Will it fit a woman or a girl child over 4 ft 6?
  11. After the draft is over, yes. Keeper value does not reset in the event of a trade. As long as a player was kept last year by any team, his cost the following year to keep is last year's keeper cost plus $5.
  12. Appreciate the vote of confidence. Can I trouble you for your logic? I don't want him. I want Javonte and Saquon and/or Etienne with a possible side of Chase Edmonds. I'm worried I'm gonna get stuck with a bill for Javonte and Saquon that is 3x what I could have had AK for.
  13. I said the same thing. And I would move Swift down.
  14. Draft in a week and I have a dilemma. It is a one player optional keeper league, salary cap/auction style draft. Depending on how long you have kept a player the cost to keep varies. The only player on my roster even worth considering keeping is Kamara. I like other players better than Kamara but I can lock him in for 20% of my budget. I think he would go for about 25% of my budget on the open market. But the issue is availability of other top options at RB is going to be scarce. JT will be kept CMC and Ekeler might not be kept but will go for prices that I am not willing to pay, well above Kamara Najee, D Henry, Mixon, Kupp, Chase, Cook will all be kept Javonte and Saquon might be kept but I like both of those guys. I am guessing they will each go for more than I can keep Kamara for. The biggest question is the pending 4-6 game suspension but Schefter and everyone is saying the case likely won't be decided until after the season so the suspension would be next year. Still no sure thing. Lock in Kamara as one of my top 2 RBs at 20% and then go balls out for a guy I really want for my other RB?
  15. I think the episode of BCS where Mike recounts the revenge for what happened to Matty was one of the best episodes of television I have watched ever. S1-E6 Five-O. I will miss this series. I will miss Jimmy. I will miss Kimmy. And I will miss Mike.
  16. Yeah the more I hear about her she seems kind of like a shock artist. I had heard great things about Lapvona, read it was a quick read that you couldn't put down, so I said Eff it and bought it. Going to explain exactly how fucked up it is in the tag below. Had no idea what this book was about going in. Yeah.
  17. We should mass produce them and market them as something. Maybe the Smoffin? Or the Casker? BBQIP?
  18. Currently going as like WR30 in a lot of drafts. I will gladly take that risk if the investment is in that range.
  19. I've had some vacation lately and during my commutes I like listening to podcasts. I dialed up the FF stuff and now I'm entrenched. Dorking out way too much but fwiw. Here are some guys I like well above their current ADPs (PPR): Trey Lance, Russ, Jalen Hurts, Saquon, Javonte, Etienne, Chase Edmonds, Rhamondrae Stevenson, Dameon Pierce, Michael Pittman Jr, Courtland Sutton, Michael Thomas, Mike Williams, Kadarius Toney, Jalin Tolbert
  20. I kind of hate the Lions but DC is hard not to like. I did not realize he was an Aggy and figured that will put him on most of your shit lists from the jump. I loved the shit talking between Duce and Aaron Glenn. The biggest thing I'm worried about is this series making me a Lions fan. My Lions fandom died when 20 walked away. Also I have to say that I found it funny that it took what, 20 minutes, to expose the Michigan guy as condescending and arrogant.
  21. Thank you. This is more than I possibly could have wanted to know but certainly answers my questions. I am surprised, I had heard that costs had come way down. I will see what they come back with. This may be an investment worth undertaking.
  22. I promise not to start a thread about vinyl siding next or every single aspect of home construction. I'm seeing stuff all over the map. Initially our contractor told me 5-6x the cost of shingles which upon my research seems to be bullshit. I'm reading anywhere from 1.5-2x the cost of a traditional roof. I know there are some roofers on here @ROFL BOX. Not in TX so I'm sure mmmv but curious if there was real world recent experience on this board on the topic.
  23. The entire season is just one never ending Price is Right horn.
