  1. I bet a single game parlay on the CFL game tonight. This is a safe space.
  2. Thanks for the input. I like the idea of going with 36 as opposed to 30. I will take a look at some of these brands.
  3. We are redoing the kitchen. I have no idea what I want. Gas I presume. I was hoping for a hood or some kind of ventilation as we will be putting it on an exterior wall. Overhead hood? Down draft? What about the oven, should I be looking at convection/air fryer type stuff? We are going for a solid medium upper vibe, nothing too crazy. I cook but nothing crazy. I don't carry my passion for cooking and experimenting with BBQ indoors. Occasionally I like to cook on the cast iron indoors. I bake some pies occasionally but honestly most of what else I use the oven for is too keep BBQ warm or to warm up pizza for the kids if it won't fit in the air fryer. I like to cook pizza but prob going to get an Ooni type oven at some point. I am trying to design the wall layout so hooded vent or no vent is important at this stage so I can figure out if we want cabinets above or if that isn't going to be possible. Any advice from you surly assholes? Thanks in advance.
  4. I just finished this book Lapvona by Ottessa Moshfegh. Fiction novel. Super fucked up. I don't know what I thought of it.
  5. Man I wish I had the space and lived closer. Always wanted an OG full size Bronco. How many miles just out of curiosity? I would paint that sucker white and get vanity plates with my first name and last initial - Gill T.
  6. It was really enjoyable to watch. It was not tense or very dramatic but I have come to enjoy Jimmy's schemes as much as I do the cartel crap. The Howard scheme was a little much because the why still rings a little hollow to me but the art of the scheme and the way Odenkirk pulls them off is a lot of fun to watch. Jimmy/Saul will be missed. Maybe Gene catches the bug again after dipping back in to tie off the threat from Jeffie and we get a Cinnabon Gene spinoff. Kidding, but I would watch.
  7. That's every episode that Richie is in.
  8. I may have posted through this. It's been a minute. About 12-14 years ago I worked for a company that was courting Halliburton pretty hard. They sent me to Duncan multiple times. I've never been to a worse place. And I'm from Detroit.
  9. I am not trying to kick you in the nuts but honestly it kind of sounds like the culture at the new place sucks and you might want to start thinking about whether that is worth it. Maybe too early to tell, but...
  10. Thanks. Beginning of the next episode does, in fact, fill in some detail. And I think it's awesome directing and acting - the al anon scene with Carm unloading. I don't know where this is going but the cynic in me who posted the other night really wanted to say that if this was real life, Carm and Richie aren't trying to pump out delicious beef sandwiches under the old model. Carm is closing the place for 12 months and opening Jack's Bistro. And Sydney is Felipe.
  11. Tell us about the time you decided to be an asshole for no reason. Be nice dude.
  12. I started this show a few days ago and I'm binging and I really like it. But I have some beef with the overall premise. Need to read the entire thread tomorrow to see if I'm out to lunch on this. That's 2x points. Actually I'll go ahead and post my terrible opinions and catch up tomorrow. I might be way out of touch but do we really have French Laundry type chefs taking over food stands in the Midwest and trying to pump out cakes and salads and braised short ribs and risotto? Are these joints really braising beef and whole chickens to make Italian beef and chicken Philly sandwiches? I will just say that I have been to my share of Chicago sandwich and hot dog places over the years and I'm not sure what the Spanish word for 'Chef' is but I don't think that's what they're calling each other in the back kitchen. A place like the one depicted in the show I'm pretty sure is serving steak ums and the majority of their traffic is coming after 10 pm CST and the patrons are too drunk to know or care about how tender the beef is. Maybe the foodie scene has really caught fire but the past two times I've been to Chicago, it's still very much Chicago and not quite Bicycle Bar type hipster dominant. I mean I know there are some hipster elements in some neighborhood for sure. But I feel like they took a lot of very different elements of the city and tried to merge them and it's not very authentic. I've never lived in Chicago so curious what the local folks have to say. But it's good and entertaining and that's all that matters. I am happy to ignore what I perceive to be unrealistic details if I am entertained, and I am entertained.
  13. I looked it up. It's called "season pass". It was purchased through the prime interface on a fire stick. Try searching better call Saul on prime and see if you see the option.
  14. Ok so the conversation I remembered wasn't in reference to the lab but the picture was pretty clear. From early May: https://www.google.com/amp/s/screenrant.com/better-call-saul-gus-gun-superlab-lalo-plan/amp/ "Since learning of Lalo's survival, Gus Fring has expected Lalo Salamanca to turn up at his personal residence - hence the massive security operation. Even in "Black & Blue," Mike stands in Gus' house and utters, "Sooner or later, he's gonna end up right here." Earlier in the episode, however, Gus Fring experienced a sudden epiphany while asking a Los Pollos Hermanos customer if they'd like to try spice curls. After weeks without a peep, Gus realizes Lalo can't kill him without upsetting the cartel. The Salamancas' only option is to find proof of Fring's betrayal, and nothing screams "betrayal" like a massive underground superlab the cartel knew nothing about. Having been constantly wondering where Lalo would attack from, Gus now knows his nemesis will, sooner or later, visit the superlab. This foresight allows Gus to prepare for battle, giving himself a home-field advantage by planting a hidden pistol."
  15. Wasn't there a conversation between Mike and Gus a few episodes ago where Mike basically said to Gus, you know what he's looking for and you're going to have to meet him there to end it? And that was the precursor to Gus planting the gun?
  16. I don't subscribe to +. There is an option to buy just the show through Prime. It was $9.99 for the rest of the season. I don't believe it airs until the next day.
  17. The quality of the broadcast on YTTV is so f'ing bad that I find myself waiting until I can watch it on Prime the next day in 4k or whatever they show it in. Yes I paid the $10. It's awful. Same with The Old Man.

    Getting old sucks

@Ojo Rojo @Nice Guy Eddie Did a search on "cortisone elbow". Saw a couple of posts by you gentlemen. How did it work out for you? I've been through the ringer - MRIs, therapy, some "elbow fiix" device I bought online, working with a trainer to cut out stuff that really bothers it...but it keeps creeping back up. Considering cortisone but the last doctor did not seem too high on this solution but feeling like I'm out of options. What are the pros and cons? Thanks in advance.
  19. On the prime day deal, my dad had been telling me he wanted me to take him to Costco to get a new TV. They live across town so I had him measure the current TV cabinet. It's some monstrosity from Costco about a decade ago where the TV can mechanically be lowered into the cabinet. Of course they have not lowered this once since they bought it. But my mom apparently liked this cabinet so they were going to keep it. Last time we were over there he got cold feet because he thought my mom was mad about it. But he had me look at the cabinet to see if it would be easy to get the old TV off. Regardless the plan was going to be that the new TV would sit on top of the cabinet, with the mechanism lowered. He wanted a bigger TV than would fit. Ok cool. That was a few weeks ago. So I hit him up when I see this deal. I double checked the measurements and it was perfect. He gives me the ok to pull the trigger. It's being delivered and set up Monday. (Currently listed at $2448 btw, nice savings of a cool grand) I asked him if he wanted me to come help him try to get the other TV out. He said no he would ask my brother to help him as he lives much closer. I text him today and he casually tells me that they couldn't get the old TV out so he called a mover and had them throw the entire thing out. I asked what he was going to put the tv on and he said the floor for now and my mom was going to get a new cabinet. Old people... Oh well it's still a damn good deal. He's half blind, I could have gotten him an 80" if the cabinet hadn't been the limiting factor.
  20. Agreed. Also bothers me that they never show Kim masturbating.
  21. Jimmy has already been an asset to Gus. It was Gus who wanted him to get Lalo out of prison. He is in the game and under Mike's thumb. I don't know if I see the need for him to kill Kimmy. She's clearly in the game now, too.
  22. I really like it, currently watching e7. However there are way too many flashbacks. They take up like 45% of the air time.
  23. Good Prime Day Deal on 65 Sony OLED https://a.co/d/ae73Pnk
  24. Rewound. Looked like 4 shots, possibly 3 until chamber was empty. Not a huge gun guy but do they make 4 shooters?
  25. I thought for a minute that Lalo got the drop on him and emptied the gun, a la Bryan Mills in Jean-Claude's bathroom.
