  1. Dude. Stop. Daryle Ward is NOT walking through that door.
  2. Everyone is talking about this rendition of "The Foggy Dew" during Conor McGregor’s walkout at UFC 189.
  3. Framber just flat out quit. He didn’t want to be out there after shit started going south and he threw in the towel instead of fighting through it. Unacceptable.
  4. Either I have enough emotional scar tissue built up from dealing with that shit show when they were in Houston or I'm callused by the uncanny ability of the franchise to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory persistently, but, in all sincerity, I don't give a damn about the Oiler name or the uniforms. If Nashville wants them, F em. They can have them. I will laugh my ass off when Tannehill, in his Oiler jersey, throws the pick-six to seal a 24-point comeback for the opposition.
  5. They are, financially.
  6. I appreciate the thought and effort in your reply. Whatever we sent to Angels, do you believe we could we recoup from the Yankees?
  7. What would the Angels take for Mike Trout? Rest him until you need him. Convince the Angels that they can have their castella and eat it too. Trade him to the Yankees in the offseason for more than you gave up for him.
  8. How does Hovland (-5) have honors over Rahm (-6)?
  9. Please tell me that’s his mugshot
  10. To play in front of tens of dozens of rabid Hurricane fans.
  11. F him. Don't introduce that cancer into your clubhouse.
  12. Tim Brando drives around listening to recordings he’s made of himself talking.
  13. torn meniscus and now, recovering from pneumonia. I'll be down in the basement for a while, enjoying everyone else's stories and photos.
  14. The Cards have a much deeper and richer history with Houston baseball. The Dodgers and Reds were "rivals" for less than a decade beginning in the late-70s. Still, Houston and St. Louis have been intertwined since 1919 with the Houston Buffs - the first minor league team affiliated with a Major League franchise. The Houston and St. Louis rivalry of the NL Central era was also a more significant period in Astros' history. Shout out to Victoria and the Crossroads.
  15. Kentucky. Just kidding.
  16. Things I didn't know until recently. Donald Malarkey was the impetus for "Saving Private Ryan," and introduced the story to author Stephen Ambrose at an Easy Company reunion in the 80s. Malarkey told Ambrose the story of the Niland brothers from Tonawanda, New York. One of the four Niland brothers was close friends with Malarkey's best friend in Easy Company, Warren H. "Skip" Muck. They were from the same hometown. Muck had shared the story with Malarkey and he recounted it to Ambrose much later. Private Ryan is based on Fritz Niland, Skip Muck's buddy.
  17. My Mom was the sole caretaker for her parents for the better part of two decades. Traveling back and forth to her hometown every weekend and after my grandfather died, an additional couple of evenings per week after work because my grandmother was wheelchair-bound since contracting polio in the 40s. When my grandmother died my Aunt drove in from East Texas towing her horse trailer and waltzed away with everything that wasn't bolted down. Greedy people suck.
  18. One-and-done seasons? "Band of Brothers." mic drop. Glad someone finally mentioned "The Larry Sanders Show." For my money, the top five: The Wire Deadwood The Larry Sanders Show Sopranos Six Feet Under
  19. Knew a guy that flew a Warthog in Iraq during the first Gulf War Actually flew over the “Highway of Death” strafing Iraqis and their equipment retreating from Kuwait. He described it as a turkey shoot. No ground fire to worry about and just cherry picking targets, trying to inflict as much death and damage as he could.
  20. I loved watching those A's teams. The matchups with the Orioles in the playoffs were always intense. I remember racing home after school to watch ALCS games in the afternoon. I'll never forget watching Bert Campaneris throw his bat at the pitcher in the ALCS after being hit by a pitch. Charlie Finley was an egomaniac of epic proportions. He couldn't or wouldn't share any credit for the team's success. He broke up one of the best teams in the history of baseball to make a buck before Bowie Kuhn could order him to sell the team.
  21. Sorry if already asked and answered, but what did Kendall send Greg off to do right after he hung up?
  22. See Brooklyn Nets.
  23. Agreed; however, I was disappointed that they included the voicemail message. I'd have preferred Shiv to step out to make the call and come back to the conference room and deftly handle the inquisition. Really sold it. Otherwise, we knew what was coming as soon as Kendall stepped outside to make the call. Roman will rise to the level of his incompetence. That Logan was reaching out to Roman right before the end told me that even Logan saw Roman as the weakest link.
