  1. Steelers stick to their plan and draft players that fit their criteria. That's their formula for success.
  2. Per Zierlein, he got rave reviews at East-West shrine game and really boosted his stock. The question is whether the Cowboys will ask him to add weight and stay inside.
  3. Brian Branch. Props to him for coming back tonight. The Lions finally did something right.
  4. from the intra webs...
  5. They played this on The Ticket this morning. Jerry Jones, clearly, a couple of drinks into his post-draft celebration (NTTAWWT), was being flippant because the reporters wouldn't let him off the hook about a statement he made previously about Mazi Smith being in the Cowboy's "top 15" prospects. Will McClay was explaining the Cowboys had Smith ranked right about where they landed him and Jones had clearly had enough and blurted out that Mazi Smith was "14th" out of their top-15. It's a good pick and they certainly didn't need a tight end. It will be interesting to see if he is more than just a run stuffer. He wasn't asked to push upfield at Michigan and didn't have any significant impact behind the line of scrimmage or numbers insofar as TFLs and sacks.
  6. The Jets clearly don't understand "value"
  7. The Eagles gave up a 4th rounder next year to move up one spot
  8. By taking Stroud at 2 they gutted the market for the Cardinals pick, and still gave up a shit ton for it. Who were they bidding against?
  9. Arizona just spent the Texans 12 and no 34 for Paris Johnson
  10. Cardinals get No. 12, No. 33, 1st in 2024 and 3rd in 2024.
  11. That's way too high for Hendon Hooker. His value is the late first or second round. His average draft position is around 33. Under ordinary circumstances, the value of the 12th pick is roughly twice the value of the 33rd pick.
  12. Gilbert is hitting .367 with 5 2B, 3 HR, w 1.089 OPS this season. Zach Dezenzo (12th Rd/2022) is hitting .357 with 6 2B, 1 HR, w .997 OPS. There are a couple of other kids with OPS over 1.000, that have played in half as many games. Asheville 2023
  13. Living the dream. Some of us citizens are behind you all the way...
  14. Swap with Seattle for 5, 20, and 123 (4th). If Carter is gone because the Colts don't pick a QB, trade back with the Raiders at 7 for their 3rd (100) and 4th (109) rounders. Hopefully, they'll want to trade up for Levis or Richardson. You'd then be left with (1st) 7 (LV), 12 (HOU), 20 (SEA), (2nd) 33 (HOU), (3rd) 65 (HOU), 73 (HOU), 100 (LV) (4th) 104 (LV), 109 (HOU), and 123 (SEA). Picking up a 1st, a 3rd, and 2 4ths to drop back five slots.
  15. Godspeed, John Glenn
  16. One and only experience they wouldn't let my dog sit on the patio with me, or I couldn't sit on the patio with my dog. I don't remember which. So we bailed.
  17. You answered your own question. "... 25000 calories a day..."
  18. I am. DVR it and catch up a few days later. I think crazy is going to win the whole damn thing.
  19. I've run trade scenarios with the Colts (4), Seahawks (5), and Raiders (7) over and over again [ Draft Simulator ]. Far and away the best return for me insofar as impact players is with Seattle. If you can live with Jalen Carter at 5 and convince the Seahawks to throw in the 20th pick, perhaps more, it's a clear winner. The simulator is fun. Give it a try.
  20. I agree. If you're not sold on Stroud, take the two best players on the board. I'll amend my previous statement to suggest trading the second pick, moving down, and selecting Will Anderson or Jalen Carter (in that order). Pick up the Colt's 2nd round this year (35) and in 2024 if they want to move up two spots.
  21. I see lots of upside and plenty of room to be a bust. Anderson is closer to his ceiling and Wilson may actually wind up being a better player. Or we can’t remember his name 5 years from now.
  22. Heard Lance Zierline say this week that Stroud scored poorly on the "S2 Cognition Test," which I assume is the renamed Wunderlick test. That may have turned some noses up about him. Bryce Young also had Brock Purdy-type results on the test, which pads his resume in the eyes of many. It depends on how much stock you put into a test like that. VY didn't do well on Wunderlick and won AFC Rookie of the Year (obligatory FUCK! JEFF! FISHER!). This may also be bullshit, but there's a rumor that Stroud struggles to take directions and feedback when he feels like he knows better, which is apparently quite often. But, I never heard anyone with Ohio State football or familiar with the program mention that before. It could just be as easily chalked up to someone putting that out there in the hopes he drops. Adam Schefter is now saying Bryce Young will be the Panther's pick and if Stroud's stock is down in Houston, staying at two would bypass a significant opportunity to add high-value picks. I'd flip with the Colts at four, in exchange for their second-round pick (35) and their highest second-round pick in 2024. Maybe more. I'd like to see them gin up a bidding war that otherwise might have eluded them when they won in Indy. Though I probably wouldn't drop further than the Raiders at 7.
