  1. No road winners
  2. Kendleton isn't the headache it was before the scandal. The worst part of La Grange and Smithville back in the day was the time it took to drive through the towns before the bypass was built around each.
  3. I nominate Palmer, just North of Ennis on 45. Also, they aren't as concerned with speeding in Hearne. It is on the crossroads between 45 and 35, along Hwy 6. They get a ton of drug related arrests from stops in Hearne.
  4. Last I heard she was at 28 in a row. She's just wrecking shop too. Most of her wins have been romps.
  5. Sweet. My football autographed by Joe Namath and Don Maynard just went up in value.
  6. Vikings. Don't remember the season number, but it dropped off a cliff. Must see to unwatchable overnight.
  7. I'm too lazy to look this up myself, but I'd bet a significant chunk of change that Hannity's ratings are higher since Trump left office and that's his silver lining. He just needed a semi-spotless and apparently sane Trump to hold up in contrast to Biden for his viewers. A low bar - I know - but the alternative would have been much more difficult to prop up.
  8. Wait. He shot a wad in your where?
  9. Can’t interview for a position that had already been filled
  10. Watch your fingers. Those SOBs hurt like hell if they catch a fingertip in the wrong place.
  11. Just finished it this morning. It was great. Some of the finer details of her life - how she grew up, her career, and her marriage, are painful to hear. I didn't know how much I didn't know about someone that was such a significant player in American television. Including this: Lucy green lit "Star Trek" when the executives at Desilu were telling her it would be too expensive to produce and a sure failure.
  12. Anonymity shouldn't factor. I believe the incident and the victim's story were actually developed into a made-for-television movie. Turns out the law firm representing the defendant was showing it like a stag film in their offices and had simply turned it over to the insurer without redacting or editing, or initiating any confidentiality/privacy restrictions.
  13. He may have been a better pick had he not brought all the baggage. There were several scouting reports out there on Leaf beforehand that were enough to scare away most NFL franchises. Anger management, alcohol abuse, and prevalent drug use. Dude was a train wreck before he hit the NFL.
  14. Is it out of line to wish that a group of inmates offer to spot for her, load up four 45-pound plates on each side of the bar, and then drop it on her larynx?
  15. Progeria is nothing to laugh about. That was so great! I spent an entire layover in Phoenix buying drinks for every Tech fan heading back to Texas while I was on the way to Los Angeles for the Rose Bowl.
  16. Or snip hers
  17. It's as if she expected it.
  18. Any vote for Heather is a wasted vote. Shan should have saved the extra vote and Naseer goes home anyway, which is actually better for her because now she can go back to Deshawn and Danny to claim she did what they wanted. Got rid of Naseer. The real winner was Ricard, getting Shan to play that extra vote. It would have been great just to watch Liana go home. But, Xander would have been on the chopping block next week without his idol. Maybe instead he plays his extra vote and votes for LIana 2x. In the revote it would have been his two votes versus Deshawn/Danny's votes for Evvie. He's wearing immunity so one or both of Deshawn and Danny would be forced to join him and throw Liana under the bus or to draw rocks between themselves for only one to stay in the game.
  19. During several of my years at Texas the team from the IU chapter of our fraternity would drop out the quarter before the "Little 500" and come down to Austin to live in the house and train. This was four or five years after "Breaking Away" was released. They'd eat breakfast and drive out into the Hill Country and spend all day climbing up and down the hills on their bikes. We wouldn't see them again until dinner and afterward they'd move the tables and spend several hours working on their bikes. Their dedication to the event and the sport was nothing like anything I had ever witnessed before.
  20. "Apocalypse Now Redux." Some of the extra scenes are great, but most (not all) are mediocre detours that detract from the original released version. For instance, I'm grateful for the additional scene of Mr. Clean's funeral and the Chief presenting the boat flag to Captain Willard; however, after the novelty of the following scenes from the French plantation wore off, I find them boring and I'm ready to move on.
  21. Idiot. Nothing like cancelling your own vote.
