  1. Depended upon DD and how secretive he wanted or needed to be
  2. That wasn't my experience. We didn't own a plane and our CEO always footed the tab. The latter is likely more probative than the former.
  3. Yes. You were on it. A plane that is leased by a third-party is much more difficult to trace back to the athletic department.
  4. Not sure how CDC runs his business, but DeLoss would simply make a call to a BMD when he needed a plane for a flight that he didn't want anyone to know about. Any number of BMD's were on speed-dial and willing to step up - even pick up the tab. They would rent the charter and forward DeLoss' itinerary to the plane operator. Unless you know the name of the BMD that rented/booked the plane or the passenger manifest, you're just guessing. For example, when they brought Kevin Durant to Austin for his jersey retirement at the Tech game, DeLoss simply made a call and a BMD rented and paid for Durant's ride to and from OKC. Another occasion a plane was rented and sent to Austin to pick up DeLoss to deliver him to a meeting with another conference circa 2011. Unless you were tipped ahead of time I don't see how you could have known in either instance.
  5. I was at that game. I recall asking myself, "holy shit, do Buckeye fans treat all visiting fans like this or just Michigan?" Question answered several years later.
  6. In today's New York Times "The Daily", Maggie Haberman makes several great points. First, Donald Trump never wanted to be President and only entered the race to see if he could win. He won, but had no desire to actually put forth any effort or the work necessary to lead. Second, Trump doesn't have the stomach for confrontation. He loves and thrives in chaos, but will eventually capitulate, and not because it is best for America. So, he'll sew chaos and eventually back down because at his core he's lazy and a coward. Republicans in Congress are simply trying to stay on his good side for their own benefit or the Party's benefit. For instance, Moscow Mitch doesn't want Trump to damage the Georgia runoffs or have him generate heated Republican primaries in 2022. It's a quality listen in the car today.
  7. The only Houston area firm I see more often than not, is Jackson Walker.
  8. There are stringent restrictions and oversight built in to the process. I see the same 3 or 4 firms on each and every notice I get. I presume those that can do it in bulk can make a living at it. But, not many.
  9. Same with bankruptcy sections. Chief Judge David Jones of the Southern District of Texas just authored an article on the pandemic and resulting bankruptcies exposing a lack of qualified lawyers in the bankruptcy bar. Just not enough business after the dust settles between Republican administrations 🙂
  10. Hey, he did the right thing. Called a "lost ball" and went back to the tee-box to hit again. Probably should have hit a provisional.
  11. I missed it. My girlfriend at the time was a Tennessee cheerleader and I was in Knoxville for the Tennessee/Notre Dame game that day. Went back to her apartment and watched the Texas game. She was livid and bitter about the Vol's game and so the better Texas played the more pissed off and insufferable she became. She finally went to bed and when the Texas game ended we had the best makeup sex of my young life. The euphoria of destroying UH and that crazy bitch screaming obscenity after obscenity at "that motherfucker Andy Kelly" was other worldly.
  12. I was freelancing as a producer for ABC News on Election Day 1992. I was assigned to Ann Compton and Brint Hume, and was in the Westin Galleria on election night. About 12 of us were let into the hotel room immediately after the concession call and before the President went down to the ballroom. Didn't vote for him. Didn't care for his politics, but damn he had class. and his wife was a very kind lady. They were the only two people in the room maintaining their composure, smiling, and managing to joke about it. Everyone else was a mess. But they were political animals and they understood the stakes and this was bigger than them.
  13. They could cut them off at the knees if they'd provide firearms to fetuses. Government just can't pay for them. and jorts for our Ohio friends.
  14. SIAP. If Biden holds AZ, NV, WI, & MI, as well as picks up PA and GA (somehow) - this total will look awfully familiar.
  15. Silver lining. That would eviscerate what little chance Pence has of ever being elected President.
  16. Imagine if she didn't have a phone to record that shit with. Her family would still be looking for her.
