  1. ... and that it was Bin Laden and al qaeda that stormed the Capitol on January 6th.
  2. I’d put the Seinfeld finale right there in that category. The culmination of the tailspin that began when Larry David checked out. I was relieved to see the Larry Sanders Show in the Top 10. “Hey Now!”
  3. He's not alone in that regard.
  4. Bullshit. He's done all he can do here. It's time to move on and cash in. I hope he has a long and prosperous NBA career.
  5. Today's New York Times' podcast discusses some of the difficulties in prosecuting the rioters. Prosecuting the Capitol Rioters "Perhaps the most difficult part of the prosecution has been deciding which charges accurately describe an underlying crime that has no real precedent. While many of the 400 people charged are certain to plead guilty, others plan to fight. And without a legal guidepost, prosecutors have sometimes seemed to reach." Interesting comparison to those protesters being prosecuted in Portland too...
  6. "The final 16 predetermined sites will be revealed at 8:30 p.m. Eastern time Sunday, May 30."
  7. It shouldn't be like that, but it is. Some state governments are trying to hold big pharmaceuticals accountable, but via the state's chief legal officer and their court system, not by any meaningful form of regulation. But, even that's an uphill battle in the face of arguments against lost tax revenue and for less government oversight.
  8. The reference to the HBO series is to make the point that no regulation will be forthcoming because the government has ceded regulation of their own industry to Big Pharma in return for vast amounts of cash. They legislate themselves.
  9. Took the Scout Troop down to North Padre in 2018 on a shake-out hike and to just to let them have some fun in the sun. 2.5 years later and I'm still finding sand in my gear.
  10. This is what happens when you try to keep one foot in the boat and one on the dock. To quote Engineman 3rd Class Jay "Chef" Hicks, "never get out of the boat."
  11. The antithesis of Carmela Soprano in the series, and sneaky hot.
  12. I hope not.
  13. FIFY, though it could be argued "hot" implied crazy.
  14. "It's hard to ignore the Jones-to-San Francisco buzz within the league." "Buzz" is a buzzword for just flinging sh*t to see if it sticks and if I'm wrong, don't blame me because I'm just repeating what I heard.
  15. Bob Pape's Interview re Demographics of Insurrectionists &nbsp
  16. "When I drop a dime to the big Swahili, he got to put it in the hole."
  17. Someone should put that on a banner being hauled behind a plane tomorrow night.
  18. I'm hurting right now. Send Vyvanse. Anyone else jump up when Ohtani stared down Smith? I was thinking the same thing when Geoff Blum said Ohtani should go out and get some, if he's man enough.
  19. The Jets have just changed the name and number on the back of their QB’s jersey. The results won’t change. They should have traded down, stockpiled picks, and began a wholesale upgrade of talent. Darnold would have been serviceable in the interim.
  20. My roommates and I attended almost every home game during the Kaiser Bob era. Most nights we could move down and sit right behind the bench. Those were some lean years. You could accurately count the number of fans in the stands in about a minute and get up and back from concessions before the timeout ended. So many players quit the team that they dressed one of the male cheerleaders (Lance) to sit on the bench. My memory of that A&M game is that we were disgusted to suddenly find ourselves up in the rafters that night because of the front-runners that had just discovered we had a men's basketball program. The pinhead behind us bragged about being a big Longhorn basketball fan, then spent the entire game referring to Raynard Davis as "John Brownlee", and vice versa.
  21. Can we get a GoFundMe page together for a fruit basket?
  22. Well, Strong was the only coach interviewed by Patterson. DeLoss Dodd's told my BMD source within a week or so after Mack's final regular season game against Baylor that the new coach was hired. He wouldn't say who it was, only that his team's bowl game would be done before ours. That's when Mack ran-off, killing himself in Florida. As someone previously noted, several coaches leveraged the job into pay raises; however, the truth is that Strong was the number one choice and that's one of many reasons Steve Patterson is a worthless POS.
