  1. Maybe when they get to Houston they can get Kelly Leak's dad to take over the team.
  2. Because she, more than anyone else, is simply parroting the ramblings of the POTUS and following his instructions. It's her source material that is the train-wreck.
  3. Has anyone bothered to assert that MLB was complicit in what little success sign stealing has (if any) by virtue of limiting the number of trips a catcher can take to the mound? God forbid we allow a 20 or 30-second mound visit or trim a minute or so off of the six-minutes of mind-numbing commercials between innings. Limiting the ability of a battery to change signs frequently enough to make it more difficult to decipher signs is absurdly hypocritical.
  4. Why not just put the players on a giant roulette wheel and each team receives the player where their spin stops? Random chance might actually be an improvement for the Browns.
  5. I always heard David Dennison was Mike Piazza's husband. NTTAWWT.
  6. I phrased it poorly. My bad. I still maintain that had the Red Sox received the penalty for using smart watches and technology to steal signs that the Astros just received, we would not be sitting here in the midst of this fiasco. But, they didn't get the same penalty because they were the Red Sox.
  7. More impressive that they did it better on the road as well.
  8. True, save and except that MLB already had one bite at the apple with Cora and the Red Sox, and handed down what was tantamount to a love-tap- because they were the Red Sox. The are just now re-investigating the Red Sox. Had they dropped this hammer on the Red Sox then, I don't believe this would be an issue for the Astros today.
  9. So, how do you explain the Astros hitting better on the road with no "system" and when they didn't know what was coming?
  10. Complete gibberish. This is exactly what the Red Sox did, the only difference is that the Astros are not the Red Sox. The Red Sox's efforts were coordinated by management and the Astros’ methods in 2017 were not planned or directed by the team's management. But, MLB would not dare make an example of the Red Sox, Yankees, Cubs, or Dodgers, so here we are. Rob Manfred and MLB go their skin, and took out the Yankees' biggest hurdle back to the World Series. Shocking. Fuck Jim Crane for curling up in the fetal position and not fighting back. He did the same thing when he accepted the Astros' demotion to the AL too. Crane is complicit with the railroad job. Instead of being accountable he saved his own skin, passed the buck, and helped vilify two men that were exonerated from devising or participating. He fired two guys for not doing a better job of babysitting the malfeasors. Gutless.
  11. I'm done with MLB.
  12. This morning they announce new economic sanctions against Iran and the White House says they will continue to apply "until Iran stops its terrorist activities and commits that it will never have nuclear weapons." So is Trump is imposing sanctions on Iran until they agree to the same deal he broke?
  13. Matt Wells trying to re-live the glory years at Utah State with Todd Orlando.
  14. Au contraire mon frère. I understand there are some colleges that send payments to recruits via Fed Ex and that those overnight packages will sometimes just spontaneously burst open to release cold, hard cash.
  15. Why not neither?
  16. Who knew Franklin was an internal hire?
  17. Fiercely loyal to Ohio State and a competitor to his core. He was intense, had a temper and despised losing. So what. His players loved him and his biggest rival, Bo Schembechler, was one of his closest friends. He's one of the greatest college football coaches of all-time and any argument to the contrary is willfully ignorant or biased beyond reason.
  18. Sorry. But this scene was terribly underwhelming and completely overshadowed by Alec Baldwin simultaneously losing his shit over the cameras. The scene where Nicholson traveled to a drug buy and was killed after Mr. French shot himself was infinitely better.
  19. I missed the game this weekend and watched the replay last night. Football move or not, there wasn't enough evidence to overrule to call on the field of possession and fumble. If that catch had been in the end-zone, it would have been in his possession long enough to be considered a touchdown. Not going for two and then the third down bubble screen as well as not going for it on 4th down in the final possession and punting instead certainly fly in the face of the 4th and 1 call for Ohio State's last touchdown. It seemed akin to folding with a good hand on the chance you might lose to a better one. Disappointing because Ohio State versus LSU had a better chance of being more interesting.
  20. Really enjoyed it, but I spent the car ride home trying to piece it back in order and just gave up. It was a disjointed mess because they tried to pack so much into it, but don't care. It was worth it and I'll probably go see it a couple of more times in the theater. Certainly IMAX. If I can't recall it by then it's Alzheimers.
  21. Not a single "my friend," either
