  1. Rudolph Isley, a founding member of the legendary soul group The Isley Brothers Didn't see this, and I did not know this: "For a brief time in 1964, the Isley Brothers’ band included a young guitarist named Jimmy James, who would later be known as Jimi Hendrix."
  2. On this date, October 22nd 2022 - Cristian Javier and five relievers blank the Yanks, 5-0, to take Game 3 of the ALCS and earn a dominant 3-0 lead in the best-of-7 series, limiting the Yankees to just 3 hits. Chas McCormick hits an opposite-field home run off of Gerrit Cole and a dropped fly ball by Harrison Bader triggers a 3-run sixth to put the game away. 2021 - The Astros take Game 6 of the ALCS to win their third AL championship in 5-years. Luis Garcia and the bullpen held Boston to 2 hits in a 5-0 shutout. Kyle Tucker crushes a 3-run shot in the 8th to put the series on ice. Yordan Alvarez is named the series MVP. 2005 - In the first World Series game of their 43-year history, Roger Clemens lasts only 2 innings in a 5-3 loss to the White Sox.
  3. Still wasn’t ejected AFTER the warning was issued and no suspension today. That’s all you need to know about MLB’s motives.
  4. This is an astute observation, and grossly understated. This team’s week to week performance is a direct reflection of its head coach. Uneven, erratic, and oftentimes inexplicable.
  5. I swear to Christ. Sark cannot help himself. He’s genetically predisposed to doing stupid shit
  6. He fell back asleep after Maldanado flied out
  7. WFAA says "Roof closed." Did anyone catch Dusty chirping yesterday about an agreement to keep them closed for the entire series?
  8. October 20th in Astros History 2022 - Framber Valdez and the Houston bullpen lock down the Yankees, 3-2, in Game 2 of the ALCS for a 2-0 series lead. Alex Bregman's 3-run homer provides all of the Astros' offense. 2021 - Framber Valdez spins eight innings of three-hit ball, leading the Astros to a 9-1 thumping of the Red Sox at Fenway in the critical Game 5 of the ALCS Yordan Alvarez smacks a homer and a double. Yuli Gurriel drives in three. 2017 - Justin Verlander hurls seven innings of shutout ball as Houston ties the ALCS at 3-games each with a 7-1 victory over the Yankees. Jose Altuve homers (of course) and drives in 3 to lead the offense. 2004 - Jeff Bagwell ties the Cardinals, 4-4, with a clutch 2-out single in the 9th of Game 6 of the NLCS. 1999 - Ken Caminiti falls out of a deer stand while hunting near Laredo. He fractured 3 vertebrae.
  9. There's no way Aroldis Chapman could let that happen again. Jose Altuve or anyone else taking him deep at any point in the remainder of this series is an outright impossibility. He will NEVER suffer that sort of humiliating defeat again. "NEVER," I say.
  10. Point to the the TV and tell me where it hurt you. My ears. Every time Tim Brando opens his worthless pie hole.
  11. Siap - Framber had no business starting today. He’s not the second best starter right now and his splits are better on the road so I recall correctly.
  12. 2017? The Yankees were irrelevant long before 2017.
  13. Speaking of banging trash cans, how's your mom?
  14. Over-managing. Stick with your current pitcher to start the inning unless he's crossed a pitch count threshold. Particularly when a run by the leadoff man is meaningless. Ride the wave.
  15. SIAA, but why does this worthless twat still have an "X" account that hasn't been shut down?
  16. Clearly, you've never played baseball
  17. Serious question, but if you are engaged in blocking your man up field, how can they call you for being up field illegally? Are you supposed to just stop blocking at a certain point?
  18. Just pay the employee at the turnstile $50 to look the other way and push forward. You're going to stand the whole game anyway.
