MLS in Austin doing an info session at NXNW from 1-4 today for anyone interested in learning more.
  2. Pretty sure Billy Corgan almost left the stage after someone threw a shoe at him. There had been a recent incident at a Houston show just before that where he had walked out after a shoe got thrown on stage. Was working at Camelot Music in Barton Creek Mall at the time and won the tickets for pushing Lion King DVD pre-sales.
  3. Fake news. Staff did a bad job publishing the initial notification and Troxy (and others) pushed the old narrative even after the clarification.
  4. Agreed. He’s at least talked the right game when I’ve interacted with him.

Black doesn’t seem like a good idea, given our climate.
  6. Report to Council on possible location due in early June. City staff will be making significant community outreach to surrounding neighborhoods soon.
  7. I have the same feeling, and I don’t know why. There’s no inherent reason for it. Is it because we’ve tasted some success so it sucks now that it’s fallen away? Or because we have a decent payroll that’s underperforming as opposed to the Eddie Chiles days? Or is it something else?
  8. Looks like CM Flannigan’s office is the one that got them on clarify. That’s my boy.
  9. I want my NSAA access, yo. Had it and more at the old place.
  10. So, this thing only applies to homes without air conditioning? In Austin? Good luck in forcing someone that can't afford an A/C into installing a bug screen. *** The proposed ordinance applies to structures that do not have mechanical ventilation. If you have air conditioning, the regulation as written would not apply. Your input is being collected through April 30 and will help us shape the proposed ordinance. ***
  11. This deal is like Ground Zero for the antigrowth movement. The number of times I heard "we can't let another Grove happen" during the Bond Task Force was astounding. #1, that presupposes that I think the Grove development was a bad idea, which is a stupid supposition. #2, those people are still doing everything they can to torpedo a development that's doing everything they need to do. Good to see Commissioner Evans calling them out.
  12. So close, guys. Really nailed that prediction of us going on a big run.
  13. 4-6. Feel like we are about to go on a good run!
  14. FotMob is a better app. And has all four auto qualifying.
  15. These seems like a pretty low number. Right?
  16. I bet the people there laugh every time like they've never heard it.
  17. So close to having an Austin team to talk about in here.
  18. Can't be that one. They have a 15K and a 5K, but no 10. Ran the 5K a few years ago, and this smoking hot chick behind me, who ran the thing in a dirndl and knee high stockings crossed the finish line and then barfed all over the place. 12 to 6 quickly on that one.
  19. Why wouldn't you let Minor pitch into the 7th with a 5-1 lead?
  20. The Surl? You guys are The Shag for real. I'm still citing that as a source, even when talking about stuff I read here.
  21. I'm actually pretty impressed with the general Shag populace that everyone abandoned so quickly. Well done, assholes.
  22. Minor pitching goodish so far tonight.
  23. I actually went there for lunch a few times. Had the Jamaican food. Wasn't terrible.
  24. I saw a Facebook posting about one that was pretty wide open (no specific car model) recently. I think it was in the $600 range. Would love to take my car out there to see what it can really do, but that's very hard to justify. What's the long term future here? It has to be to sell or shut down. No way this cheapskate operation is sustainable long term.
  25. I saw Smashing Pumpkins, Blind Melon, Rev Horton Heat and others there in 1994. How frequent were shows there? At the time, I thought it was something that was really sporadic.
