    Getting old sucks

So has anyone ever heard of this stuff? A friend of mine swears that it helps with joint pain, but I'm skeptical of supplements.
  2. Because it's gun related: https://www.forbes.com/sites/tylerroush/2024/01/05/nra-chief-wayne-lapierre-resigns-amid-corruption-trial/?sh=6290cc063eb7
  3. Thanks. I'm looking around for a deal on one.
  4. Thanks for the recommendation. I wasn't too familiar with the LPVO until now. I'm starting on the low-medium end to begin with. I'll post when I get one mounted.
  5. Got my SFAR but declined in the optics he had on it. Anyone have recommendations on a good red dot in the $200 price range? I dont need anything too fancy just something that points where i want to hit. I saw a remanufactured Sig Romeo 4 on their website fir $190 but kept looking at others. When I went back it was gone
  6. I don't like being around that many people on land. No way I'd ever confine myself with that many people on the ocean.

Heart calcium CT scan results are in and I scored a zero, which was very close to my 2nd semester GPA years ago. No statins needed and good for a few years!

Man, I feel for you. I just about bit the PA's head off when he told me I had to have rotator cuff surgery last August. If it helps, I will say this has been the easiest recovery I ever had. No pain pills since after 12 hours past surgery, just Tylenol. The therapy isn't even that bad now. T&P's man.
  9. Husky's are better at everything? Texas OL is soft and never faced a defense like UW. Brooks is the only capable back they had. Worthy is too skinny and will get pushed around. He's no threat at all. Hit Sanders hard enough and he'll be too scared to run routes. JW will have no effect. These guys have it all figured out. They should be coaches.
  10. OHSA and ANSI have different standards, 310 lbs for ANSI and 420 lbs for OSHA. Most of the people go strictly by ANSI but all manufacturers will put the OSHA 420 lbs rating as a way to get heavier people in harnesses. We sell 4x & 5X harnesses, but when a heavier person falls, they're pushing the allowable limits for fall arrest. When they hit the end they will do serious damage to their internal organs. I have seen pics of people who have almost castrated themselves because of falls.
  11. A few years ago I got a call from a oilfield guy working on the monkey board, about 100 or so feet off the ground. He said he needed a 5XL fall protection harness. I told him I had a 3XL. He said he needed a big waist belt and I told him it had at least a 65" belt. He wasn't sure if it would fit but he'd try it. The guy came in our store and he was 5"8 and weighed between 350-400 lbs. The belt was about 18" too short to fit around his waist. I told him if he was smart, he'd find a job on the ground because even if the harness or lanyard didn't break the shock of hitting the end of the lanyard after a 6' fall would kill him.

I don't know yet. They said the results should be ready today but my doctor is closed. I probably won't know until next week.
  13. Did they give out a moral victory trophy? Because the aggy's were obviously the better team. https://texags.com/forums/5/topics/3434620

I had a heart/calcium CT scan today. I had to request it from my doctor but he had no problem ordering it. The best part is that insurance is covering it. He suggested I start statins, but I wanted to make sure I needed to take them first and he agreed.
  15. I've got one lined up with a private seller. Already set up with a scope and no shipping, tax or transfer fees. And no paperwork. There are still a couple of private gun trading groups left that started after FB banned firearm sales. I went on one the other day and the 1st item listed was a SFAR for a fair price.
  16. I think I'm about to pick up a SFAR tomorrow, but I haven't even seen one yet. I just like the concept. What did you like about it?
  17. I started watching this at 4:30 and quit to do other stuff. I just turned it back on How did this turn into a 4 hour game?
  18. Christmas eve I was on a local gun trading group and lo and behold someone had one for sale with a scope already mounted. No transfer fee, shipping or taxes. I hope I can pick it up Thursday. It's like Santa wanted me to have it.
  19. Yay? But duly noted for next time
  20. Uh oh. They're talking about Texas at half. Meltdown on Texags about to commence.

Yeah, I had the same thing happen after a biopsy and it is very creepy. But it's never happened on it's own. I guess I need to tell my wife we need to bang a few more times to see if occurs again. Doctors orders of course.

    Lol. You got that right.
  23. I understand. I just like it because it's light weight and the size of an AR-15. It's accurate to 500 or so yards (or so I've read) and has .308 knockdown power.
  24. I missed this the 1st time " So bless your little heart if you don't really no the truth. Quote
  25. This was in the game thread for GT vs UCF on Texags. I know we have a 1364 pages long thread about aggy, but at least it's all kept in one place for the purpose of laughing at them. They have to bitch about the great espin/tsip football conspiracy in threads to support one of their ex-players in a bowl game. https://texags.com/forums/5/topics/3433566 Gunny456 In reply to Aggie Dad Sip • 9:46p, 12/22/23 AG You must be a very young Aggie dad or have not lived in Texas long. The Texas ( As in State of Texas) political machine has driven t.u. football for years. See, that school in Austin is known for decades producing , journalism majors, lawyers, business majors , political science majors that have found the way to the public service arena known as old school, Texas politics. In comparison but few of those politicians have come from TAMU. The political machine in Texas has always assured, money, bias, exposure and special treatment for t.u. You don't have to look far to see the influence and corruption. Anybody that has been born and raised in Texas is well aware of this…. And not just Aggies. Speak to influential lawyers, businessmen, politicians from the other schools in Texas and you will find confirmation of the same. Also glance at the instances of movies, TV shows, etc that have showcased something t.u. (Like the instances of references to t.u.in the TV series "Friday Night Lights" or the movie that featured Tommy Lee Jones as a Texas Rangers taking care of t.u. Cheerleaders) just to give two examples of the bias due to journalists and liberal art grads of that place in Austin. The arrogance and entitlement of the grads and fan base does nothing but support the entire fact…, after all they commonly say " but we are Texas". How do you think they worked their way into the SEC? Why was it done so secretive by the SEC commissioner? Simple.., the old Texas political t.u. Mafia… it's alive and well….. everybody in the old Southwest Conference knew it (especially poor SMU after the political pressure was put on the Dallas Morning News to "expose" the story by the t.u. Politics machine. Everybody in the Big 12 knew it when the back room deal between t.u. And ESIpN were made on the Longhorn network…and soon everybody in the SEC will get to experience the same. Tonight's halftime special on t.u. was classic t.u. control propaganda by them and their minions at ESiPN. No special on Alabama, or Washington being "back" nope….all about the slobbering over t.u. … after all, the announcer himself said they are a "National Icon". So bless your little heart if you don't really no the truth.
